Do not count on them to cater your event.6 weeks before our event they inform us that they are unable to fulfill their obligations to cater out event at their facility as had been agreed upon.This caused us to race around finding a new facility and caterer on short notice, forcing our Saturday event to be on a Sunday.Beyond failing to live up to their agreements, almost every contact with them after they breached the agreement was amateurish, including, but not limited to mailing the refund to the wrong person in the wrong name.Donate a turkey on Thanksgiving through Goodman for families in need, but DO NOT expect them to provide a professional catering / event experience.

This place is AWESOME! There is a splash pad for the summer heat and a playground with a wide variety play equipment. The ground has rubber chips so it doesnt hurt as much when the kids fall. There are bathrooms that are always clean whenever we visit. They have community activities as well as space for private parties.

Went here when I was a kid, place hasn’t changed a bit, would have to revisit. I wonder if the old staff are still there

Amazing facility with excellent and much needed youth programs!!

What an amazing place! My partner and I have been fitness center members for several years now (before and after the relocation to the gym building) and have always been impressed by the facilities themselves. Weve also really enjoyed getting the Eastside News newsletter and hearing a bit more about the many fantastic programs for kids, teens, and seniors they offer.With all of the warm and fuzzies from our past experiences at GCC, we decided to have our wedding reception at Goodman. The Merrill Lynch/Evjue room was the most beautiful, perfect setting for a night of dinner, drinks, and dancing - exposed brick and tall ceilings with wood beams meant that we really didnt have to decorate much - and the setup of the room itself was very conducive to different spots for each part of the night.Our catering was also through GCCs Working Class Catering and it was fantastic - the food got lots of compliments from our guests, and the service was flawless all night long. Our two bartenders were also outstanding - we were a heavy drinking crew and they were amazing at keeping us well-hydrated all night long. :) Sam, the Hospitality Director (and Amy, his predecessor) were so easy to work with - kept us in the loop leading up to the event and made sure everything was seamless on our wedding night. Thank you to everyone at GCC for making our reception so great!- Zack and Riley

They didnt let us gym and it was Private basketball practice and I miss it got kick from the i dont know why did i give 3 never coming back here

Amazing venue! We recently rented space at the Goodman Center for a surprise birthday party. Working with the fine people at the Goodman was a positive experience, at every step of the way.From advance planning months in advance, to the day and evening of the event, everyone of the people with whom we worked was helpful, kind, and very capable in their roles.While planning the party, I felt Sam truly listened to my needs and helped to make the party fit my vision. The level of communication was outstanding.When I am next in need of space for an event, you can bet that the Goodman Center will be my first stop. Kudos!

Had a meeting for work.

It is a beautiful place there are all products for our needs but they must have better control with the workers because today I had a bad experience that two of the cashiers were bothering me that is discrimination, be careful with those employees, they must call their attention so that they do not repeat themselves those nasty incidents Im a customer

The Goodman Center is a great place. But I do have one complaint. Today I went to their food pantry and there was a lot of seniors that were there early and there were other families that came right at the time to be served. Once the food pantry started it played a lottery game. the lottery game that they played whats with the numbers you randomly select a number and thats the number you will be served at. I asked what was the reason for this they could not give me one. I witnessed people who were second in line become 2nd from last. Which I felt was unfair. People that are going through hard times dont want to play games where you really dont win. Ive always been taught first come first served. I hope they just start to do it the normal way in order.

Wonderful Community Center. There drum circles are Amazing. Such a Great Experience for Families and Individuals looking for Awesome Drum Instruction. I rate their Drum Circle with 5 Stars + !!!!!

Awesome space. The cafe caters events and is run by local high school culinary program. Fantastic program and the food they make is INCREDIBLE! Love going to meetings at this location!

Play area was nice, unique equipment. Splash pad was clean and fun. Did not experience anything more although there are plenty more things to do and experience.

A great Near Eastside community resource. Formerly the Madison Ironworks factory, the renewed edifice is beautiful and serves the retiredment community as well as families and children. The have a water park that draws lots of young children in the summertime.

We had our wedding reception at the Goodman Community Center, and we found the staff at GCC to be so friendly, accommodating and just plain fantastic! The food was incredible (we used the in-house catering, Working Class Catering), the room was set up just as we had planned, and the entire evening was flawless. Excellent service and a gorgeous reception hall made for a perfect event. A huge thank you to the kind and professional staff at GCC! We highly recommend using the Goodman Center for your wedding or any other event. Its a beautiful facility, and you will have a lot of great people working with you to make your event perfect.

They won’t let you use the skate park until after 6pm

This food pantry was very nice, the sign in process was simple, the people were friendly and the selections were basic but good quality.

I was in the after school program at the old center location and now I volunteer at the new space. Great bright, inviting space and and fantastic programs. My favorite being the annual thanksgiving baskets drive, which provides a thanksgiving meal to over a thousand local families.

Goodman Community Center always has a good home atmosphere and the staff is always at their utmost Friendliest.

Wonderful place with all sorts of community services and get togethers

I worked at the Goodman Community Center for almost three years and it is a wonderful place to work. The Goodman Center has wonderful food programs that serve everyones needs, from a food pantry to an elegant catering service and a wonderful full service restaurant and cafe, Goodman has it all.

Goodman brings our community together in so many wonderful ways.
