My young daughter use to dance with Slava at a former studio. She loves to dance and wanted to learn ballroom so we signed her up with him. She sometimes had a difficult time understanding his instructions due to his thick accent. He would get frustrated with her and constantly told her everything she was doing wrong. Rarely did he tell her when she did something right. One day he was so mean to her that she left in tears and said she wanted to quit dancing. When I discussed it with him, he just had a bunch of excuses and seemed more concerned about loosing business than how he had affected my daughter. I do not recommend him to work with children, and if you dont have a thick skin, I would caution adults as well. In response to your response, your apology is you talking about yourself and you barely acknowledge how you treated my daughter which just goes to show you care more about you and others perception than actually acknowledging that how you treated her was wrong. The problem was not your accent, it was you treating her like it was her fault she didnt understand you.

My fiancé and I had our first dance lesson here today for our wedding and it was awesome! The instructor is super nice, thinks of dance moves on the spot and is very patient. I already feel like our dance is going to be perfect and exactly what we were looking for!! I would definitely recommend them.

I went to the Studio for the Friday Night Party and had such a wonderful time! Instructor was patient, and funny and I learned something new!Will definitely be going back!

Star Dance is a new studio in Mesa that I have been going to and it has been a great experience for me. Slava, the instructor, is professionally trained from Russia and teaches proper technic so that you learn the correct way to dance. He is very passionate about dance and wants everyone is succeed and have fun at the same time. Can he be tough at times? Absolutely! But that is how he makes you learn. This studio also has other classes that are fun and get you moving. Like Zumba and Dance Fitness. Its all about having fun and learning new ways to dance! I think everyone should give it try and see for themselves.
