My son loved his teachers, and so did I. So that isnt why this school is getting 1☆ , they are getting a low score because of how they handled my son being bullied for a full freaking year. No matter who I went to about the problem, nothing was done... The one time something was done, my son came home with welts on his back from the backlash of telling the teacher what happened. The principal is a joke, doesnt care about what is happening at school, just about test scores.Last year when picking my son up from school early, there was a parent trying to do the same thing, but the school had NO CLUE where her child was. They looked for OVER 20 minutes before calling the teacher and finding out that the student left the classroom an HOUR before the call... They found him on the playground, thankfully.... But seriously, they cant even keep an eye on the students.60+ kids on the playground after lunch, only 1 aide most of the time.... which is illegal. This school is AWFUL.

Mrs. Montez has made a huge difference at this school this year. There are new plants and trees along with an overall increase in school pride. I hope she is the principle here for a very long time.

If I could give 1/4 of just ONE star, I would. This school is beyond ridiculous when it comes to tolerance for bullies. I hope it gets shut down or new management because when We were kids.... the things my daughter has experienced WERENT tolerated and kids were suspended if not EXPELLED. I will be going to the higher up, for the second time, regarding the harassment and abuse my daughter has experienced while attending and in the care of these people who are supposed to protect our young. I sure would not want anyone elses child to go through such a tragic schooling experience.

Do not expect to be contacted about lice going around in the classrooms. I have 3 children going here and all three classrooms have a problem with lice! Now I understand it happens, but I feel that we as parents should be notified. Im sure if a child with chickenpox was in class we might get a letter. Called mps and was told lice is a nuisance not a contagious disease. Really it spreads from child to child, and then they take it home and so on....so if my child was to catch lice and I take care of as a parent should, it happens because other children are allowed to stay in class with lice. I believe the only one dealing with the nuisance are the parents of the children catching lice...now how am I going to send my child right back to class to be exposed all over again. This is not acceptable. I think the school and Mesa Public Schools Superintendent office should be more responsible.

This school is absolutley AWFUL. If I could give it a minus 10 I would! The teachers (some not all) and the principal do not care about the students or parents. My childs teacher let the aid YELL AND WAVE HIS FINGER IN MY DAUGHTERS FACE over something they havent even resolved, that my child wasnt even involved in! How dare he intimidate my child like that???? She was crying her eyes out and her teacher didnt even say anything or try to comfort her. Then when I spoke to the principal about it she blew me off saying she couldnt talk to me about it and had the audacity to ask me WERE YOU THERE??? after I had told her I rushed over from work to speak to her so she was just being sarcastic! I am so upset that this is what my daughter has to deal with on a daily basis I know so many moms that have so many complaints but are too scared to speak up. This has to end our kids deserve BETTER and people WHO ACTUALLY care and take their job seriously. My mom was a witness to this incident and the principal obvioulsy didnt care and of course she has to protect the people she works with and forgets who they are working there for.. the KIDS and THEIR EDUCATION! Im hoping this gets resolved A.S.A.P as it hasnt been the first time something happens and we just get brushed off. I feel like I need to change careers and become a teacher and start teaching at ADAMS so they can finally have someone working there who CARES about the kids AND parents!! So disappointing to see what has happened to this school since I was there. I was a student at ADAMS from kinder to 6th grade and never had any issues there or heard of anything, like now. I hope other parents speak up so something can be done once and for all!

I love the teachers and ever thing they did for me. The only thing I really dislike about the school is the principal. She only cares about the school and how much money she spends. When a kid gets introble there never getting out of her office. They are there to learn stop leaving them in your office. I got introble for bringing slime to school. I got introble at 8 am and left the office at 12 so I can do some work and go to lunch. Thats messed up and all I was doing was sitting in a chair. I mean at least send me work to do. I wish the other principl stayed for everyone else at that school. She was way better and wasnt always braging about the school.

Taking my daughter out of here. Total overload and not attentive to special needs. 1st grade, child with IEP and bombarded with work overload which has disengaged my daughter from learning and causing her to fall behind. She can barely follow directions at home but keeps getting projects that consist of over 20 instructions in which the child would not be doing the work but the parent will and thats if we can figure it out. Whats the point in teaching or school if teachers dont teach and the childs work is not meaningful or attainable for them or their abilities.Last but not least... (safety) gates left open after class in session, my child was found on the bench with another child and no adult supervision or eyesight of a teacher next to open gate...excuse was that she was absent that friday so had to sit there while the others did their work in class. :( along with at pick up no adults school autority to monitor people. Kids father who is a kidnapping risk tried to coax then to run from grandma at pick up. Also both my mother and I have almost hit a few kids that dart across the street or parents park in red zones being careless. No ones monitoring. Brought this up to the principals attention and was told that we have to walk to the office to tell as its happening and if its not on school property there is nothing she can do. Im DONE!!! as far as this school they do not have the kids or safety at their top priority.
