I addressed some issues that my son was having at Poston, with the principal Mr. Rapier in person. The principal did a great job and acknowledging the issues and setting forth a plan of action to resolve the problems at hand. I appreciate his professionalism as well as his secretaries to make sure I could get in there to see him in person about issues I felt very strongly about. Poston is a great school however sometimes teenage life happens and we have to get those problems resolved.

My daughter is wrapping up her second year at Poston. The diversity at this school provides the students with a real-world exposure they would not likely get at other schools. With that said, my daughter has always felt safe on campus, the leadership is amazing & when I elevated issues in a professional and constructive manner, they were addressed right away.

I was threatened atleast 5 times each of the 3 years I was here for no logical reason. I was the innocent bystander who kept to myself and didnt do anything to bother anybody. I was lucky to escape it. The security sucks because they dont stop fights that are about to happen. They wait till somebody is down on the ground near death. Those of you that say that there is absolutely no violence, I invite you to rethink your evaluation especially since you hid who you are to be inconspicuous. The teachers are mostly psychopaths and have mental disorders like legitimately. This school has been given way to many chances. I would suggest sending your kids to any school other than Poston.

Poston Jr High is a great school for most students. I feel personally that some teachers expect too much from the students. In one year I would say I saw at least 5 fights.From experience, the coaches make me feel like Im at millatary camp. They are beyond rude. Many times Ive seen them for forcibly grab students and take them some where else. I find this more than aggressive, its just wrong to do to children .Other than that, the campus is very clean, most teachers are very nice, safe surroundings.

I havent seen it yet. But Ive heard a lot of good things about it. Im going there in August!
