I called about a lesson special they were offering and left a message expressing my interest. Nobody ever bothered to call me back. Perhaps it was because I was checking into a non-paying lesson to check it out. I wont call East Mesa School of Guitar again.

Ive played guitar both professionally and for enjoyment for 30 years and have had numerous guitar teachers over the years. I can honestly say that East Mesa School of Guitar has given the best lessons Ive ever had. They are really tailored to my playing goals and helping me improve in specific areas that need improvement. They provide audio recordings of my lessons each week, tab and charts, and even a weekly practice schedule all online for easy access. Besides that, owner / instructor Ty is just a really cool guy who is encouraging and makes learning fun. Acoustic or electric, pretty much any style you play, I think East Mesa School of Guitar is the best place to go.

Ty is a great teacher! The lessons are tailored specifically for each individual, focusing on the students current challenges and teaching new techniques and ideas. I have been playing guitar for 10+ years and hit one of those endless plateaus in my skill advancement that all guitarists know about. The improvement that Ive had in the two months or so that Ive been working with Ty have been incredible. I would highly recommend East Mesa School of Guitar to anyone!

This is a great place to learn Guitar! Fred has been very helpful and relational in his efforts of teaching me how to play the guitar. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable as well. While I still have more to learn, I learned how to play chords and songs in about 6 months!

I have been with East Mesa School of Guitar for going on five years. Ty is an amazing guitarist and instructor. I look forward to each and every class. My guitar playing has improved by amazing amounts due to his coaching (and of course my practice) :) listen to him and his group and you will become the guitest you have wanted to be!

Do not hesitate to start your musical journey with East Mesa School of Guitar. I have been taking adult lessons for about 14 months. There are high school students in the class before me, and accomplished players in the class after. Yet there no “cliques” at the studio. No matter the age or the skill of the guitarist, EMSOG has built an environment where everyone supports everyone else. It’s very encouraging to leave your class and have one of the more accomplished students tell you that you are sounding good.Not only is it ok to make mistakes, but encouraged, because that means you are pushing to the next level and trying something new.Ty and his staff bring both a professionalism and passion that I have seen in very few instructors. Although the lessons are in a group setting, all of my individual needs and goals are addressed.Through their teaching methods and enthusiasm, Ty and Fred have created an environment where practicing and lessons are the highlight of my day, rather than something I “have to do”.
