These reviews are hilarious! Its pretty obvious that most of the reviews are written by kids. From a parents perspective, Marcy is a great school. I have two kids here and couldnt be happier. The main reason we choose Marcy is because when we were touring schools, the kids here seemed so happy! They were polite, but I could tell that the exuberance of childhood is encouraged here as well. My older kid can be disruptive and has a class clown side to him; the teachers hes had over the years have worked with him to show fair discipline and are communicative and helpful in working through those issues. They are responsive to emails and are helpful in bringing issues to me so we can work with him at home. I love how the kids stay with the same teacher for two years (except kindergarten). I think that really helps foster trust and being able to work with the same teacher sets consistency and good habits. Marcy is very arts-focused, which I love. I feel as though my kids are getting a good education, are challenged, have fun, meet great friends and are a part of a community that will help support them.

My experience here is RACIST, because it is so bad here there are some racist teachers that have left. The profanity here is over 9000. The are also good teachers too like the little grade teachers. The kids on the bus they sing songs that are not appropriate to school. The kids are fighting all the time on the bus and they bully. The school never bothers to get them. The kids on the bus they also cuss a lot. The teachers never catch them unless its by them.For the sake of your growing kids PLEASE DO NOT BRING THEM HERE FOR YOUR SAKE AND YOUR KID. KIDS get food poisoning from the food here. kids also cuss too much as the older kids in the back.

The school has some very great teachers and the kids are great up till you get in to middle school there is a lot of swearing. We get a lot of homework and the buses I dont have words for if you set in the back you will hear a LOT of swearing and disturbing comments. Like I said the first 5-6 grades were amazing another are very good teachers each grade level I just feel that in middle school they should cut down on the homework. The food here is terrible they added salad bar that know one uses at all there have been people who have gotten sick from the food. I have great friends that help and support me but I think you just have to chose the friends that are right for young only you. Dont be friends with anyone you dont want to be friends with chose wisely for your sake in the future.

Okay lets start with how unfair them teachers are. They always choose the white kids and ignore you!! When you get to middle school that when it starts. All the teacher are so unfair. Theres this one behavior dude and he hates us!! He always trying get someone in trouble and when it comes to the white kids hes so nice... and there are these teachers you ask them something and they dont even answer!! it gets me so mad.. They need to learn how to take care of kids and how to teach!! There food is not even that good AND SOME TIMES THEY RUN OUT AND GIVE US COLD SANDWICH!! honestly i regret coming here.. i was forced it wasnt by choice!!

Then the teacher(s) that are actually teaching the class. Do not care, as if their jobs depended upon it.Two: Teacher(s) will not tolerate their name(s) being used in google reviews, there were incident(s) that occurred on the week of December 14 2015. It is a ok school. some teachers are amazing and other teachers are not the best. The food for lunch is not good. some kids are nice and others can be mean but it is like that at most schools.

The only good teacher for 7th and 8th is the social studies teacher. There is often not enough school lunch for everyone, and the last person in line may not get any food at all. Most of the teachers are redundantly strict, and moody. Many students vomit in class due to the poor hygiene in the kitchen, (which is completely filled with cans).

I graduated from this school recently and omg I’m so glad the teachers here suck and don’t care about there students and barely help them they just go to who they think needs help the teachers pick on students that they don’t like and write them up or tab them out instead of dealing with then and I got bullied by one of the teachers Amanda since she put me on blast I’m putting her on blast and she yelled at me in front of my whole class cause I messed up on my project abd almost made me cried and the teachers are racist they praise all the white kids and a white teacher said the n word and they act like there educated about certain topics they won’t understand since there like alll white and she did this to multiple students and the staff suck and the principal chooses favorites and if you’re on her bad side she hates you and pickes on you my friends here are the only reason i stayed elementary was ok but middle school was hell they don’t even let you sit together with you’re friends at lunch and they give us no freedom and they say because were bad but we never really got in trouble they just want to punish us and the food sucks as a student that went there do not send you’re kids here if you want them to have a good education and they don’t even let you voice you’re opinions or you’ll get in trouble and they pick on the thicker girls for the dress codes even if the skinny ones have the shortest shorts they only pick on the girls with curves and I barely learned anything I had a teacher were the only thing we learned was his family do not send you’re kids here ! I had to give it 1star to post but if I could I would give it 0. I will never come back

I tried doing a 0 star but it wouldnt let me... marcy oooooh marcy. Lets start off with staff oh no no no. The teachers are the biggest peons Ive ever met. ooooof. So they are nice to the kids that the principal and the other staff like. Some teachers are only nice to the kids that misbehave... They think its gonna change them but no it just makes them worst. and they dont get it. I like my teachers but come on be EQUAL !!! This one new teacher SCREAMED at students. and when I say scream I mean in front of the whole entire class. and to multiple students!! But she didnt stop there... she screamed at the kids she dont like but when it comes to the kids she likes she gently pulled them aside and told them to tweak the project. Is that even fair ? no. Then the principal. Oh no no no. The principal is sweet sometimes. BUT what I dont like is the special treatment she gives the kids she likes. She literally takes them out of class when they want to be out and she buys them food and stuff. She bought this one girl clothes. LIKE what dude... The teachers took a vote to stop letting these certain kids eat lunch with her and stay with the rest of the kids. BUT she didnt care. tbh I saw that coming!! The behavior support is getting better since a certain someone j*** left. Yall might think Im just a lil kid tryna hate gonna school o whatever. BUT no... literally everything that I typed what sum real shii so HAVE FUN IF YOU GO HERExxxand the lunch. please dont let me start on it !!!

I went here and it is a pretty good school, and it has a good curriculum, but it has some MAJORRR flaws!!!!! There is alloottt of homework for middle schoolers, the principal became very angry and crabby, The adults and teachers treat everyone like they are 7 years old, maybe because its a k-8 school or something, but they need to realize that it is also a middle school and we arent babies. Also many of the teachers are awesome, but others are super temperamental, rude and some are super biased! I have had many bad experiences like one time I entered the left side of the door instead of the right and I was screamed at and humiliated by this staff Id never even met. And not to mention that the lunch is absolutely terrible for 2 reasons: the food is awfulllll and the never have anough for everyone, and the lunch time for the older kids is toooo short!! They tell the parents that our lunch is 15-20 minutes but by the time we get inside and sit down we have 7-10 minutes to eat!! I normally brought my own lunch, but some of my friends who had to be in the lunch line, they would have only 3 minutes or so to eat their food and I have timed it soooo many times! One more complaint: the budget cuts suck because they have multiple grades all smushed into the same classes, for example, last year was 6,7 and 8th grade all in the same homerooms together, and they have some teachers that teach multiple subjects for different grades everyday. they also took out all sports accept 2, for middle schoolers, and they cut one of my favorite teachers and their class!! If you send your kids here, just expect allot of complaints but mostly good education.🍪

Ok so Marcy is good until you go to middle school.The most racist school ever I cant even believe it,there not equal to all their students. Some of the teachers were good some were bad.I wish I never came to marcy it was a waste of time,they dont even teach right, who puts 7th and 8th graders in one class and this year they were learning 7th grade work besides math,like which school does that.For the sake of your kids DO NOT and I mean do not bring them to this school. but some of he students were good. And also you get detention and suspensions for the dumbest reasons.But at the end of the day its your education not for anyone else.education is to valuable to be wasted.

I went in the middle of 7th grade and all the student were nice to me and the teachers were ok. Im leaving now in the middle of 8th grade and id say my favorite part was the students. Some of the teachers amazing other are terrible. I feel like student were sometimes over controlled by the behaviorists and student were treated with extreme disrespect. One of the teachers had really bad communications and wouldent even answer simple questions about the work and I felt like I wasnt learning properly and I dont think I really learnt a lot in the class. Another teacher I think felt victimized by the students and I feel wasnt prepared for class and didnt know how to treat and handle students. I loved the year I spent at Marcy even if I had difficulty with teachers. The friend I made were some of the best friends Ive ever made, and if your with the right people its great. The principal I never got on the bad side of so she was always nice to me but I know she can be pretty double sided. The student in 8th grade are who made the school as amazing as it was for me and without them the school would be like 2 stars, but i think that the people and student around you change how you learn and enjoy situation. Only other problem is that 7th and 8th graders have science, ela, and social studies together with I think isnt a good learning experience because then the 7th graders are learning to advanced things and 8th graders and learning things we already know.

The school is ok but the only thing that bugs me about it is the food and the teachers some have amazing nice personalities others have a personality worse than severus snape from Harry potter and some students are nice others are awful.Also the school is extremely strict and some of the school regulations are partial and unfair.

Its okay, the hallways and the locker areas can be crowded, most of the teachers are nice, the place is pretty filthy, the school lunches are awful, and some of the 3rd and 4th graders can get mean with the middle school students.

I goto marcy and I want to leave but if I do I will leave my friends which would make me depressed...HOWEVER what I saw was not okay, a special ed student wanted to be out of special ed and told the teacher she was the reason he was failing his classes and wouldnt get into his choice of and then she sent him to john(behavior specialist) I didnt know what to do about it so i didnt tell any1.
