The teachers here are dedicated, the hands on learning and k8 is good, and i made strong friendships here. theres is alot of drama but the kids are fun and you make memories. there are some behavior issues, but i would say i got a great education here.

The progressive education model used at Barton is fantastic. This concept means so many positive things for our kids and the school community - my favorite part of progressive education and responsive classroom model is the emphasis on the WHOLE child and the empowerment of student. Social responsibility, development of ethical citizens alongside high academic achievement standards are also what Barton means to our family.My daughter is immensely happy at Barton. Our teachers and Diane the principal and the entire administration do an amazing job truly being present for our students. This leads to a community of kiddos likewise truly showing up to learn and support one another.

Great school! I’m a student there and I think that although there are some problems all schools have problems, I would rather have Barton and it’s amazing K-8 model plus respect for all students. Than any other school and I will stand by my opinion that Barton is a great school.

This is a great school with a fantastic staff and community around it. Weve had our kids there for ten years.

Second time this year (already) that the staff has not bothered to clear the sidewalks for over 3 days after a significant snowstorm. This is not only a civic responsibility but a legal obligation. Shame on you.

Good school I guess. We need a better sex education and some better students that dont try to purposely trip me in the hall but other than that its okay.

Great school overall good teachers. They do have a bullying problem that needs to be addressed. A gap in education about bullying. Kids need to learn about it. Very important. I want to be able to send my child to school he can feel safe at.

I have had three kids at Barton, and we love it. The teachers are awesome, and the open program really works. I love that it is a K-8 school, and the 7th and 8th graders get matched up with 1st and 2nd grade little buddies. Great school culture.

Ive been working in the after school program for a few months. The students are ambitious and well informed and the administration is competent, attentive, and all around good to work for.
