This School has been in My Life for 30 years. MY sister in law owned it for a while and My Beautiful Mother in-law worked there for ever. Rest in Peace Imogene Kerr. This beauty school took Care of All of our Families needs.

Went for a pedicure because of the ratings on this site. I expected a fairly good pedicure. However, I was sorely disappointed! I could have done better myself! The technician was very sweet but totally inept at doing a pedicure! She had over 100 hours of training already completed...and, I expected better. She didnt even cut my nails or clean under or around the sides of the nail. I will NEVER go back. Dont waste your money or time here.

Ive never had any problems with this school. The staff and students have been amazing to me and my family. Id highly recommend them for all services provided!

I would definitely recommend the Hamblen School of Beauty for any of your needs. Their students do a great job, supervised by excellent staff. They are attentive, take their time, talk with you and provide a relaxing experience. Highly recommended!

This is a good school been in buiness for 63 years and they teach you everything you need to know straight out of the book.

I have a friend who went to this school and she had problems with the owner of the school! She would pic on my friend specially because she didn’t like her and that’s wrong! My friend just found out about some issues that the school was having and reported them as she should have for health reasons and now the owner is kicking her out and saying my friend slandered the school which she did NOT!! My friend wants to go to another school and asked for her refund back which she has the right to she didn’t even ask for the whole refund and the owner said she wouldn’t give her back anything but $250. When my friend payed over $1,000. This school is awful and the owner plays favorites with her students that is NOT A GOOD TEACHER and SHE SHOULDNT BE TEACHING!!

I went here for the first time in forever to get a retouch of my color. I brought two bottles because that Id usually what everyone uses on my hair. This majaician stylist left plenty to spare! I could not have asked for a better experience amazing atmosphere and amazing people! Thanks Meahgin!

PUBLIC SAFETY AT RISKI was a student at the school for approximately 5 weeks. On Monday April 29th I discovered the foot baths werent being disinfected.I went to prepare a bath for a client and discovered a piece of liner behind the fan. The liner goes in the bath and the fan attaches on the side where peoples feet soak. The fan is supposed to be removed, taken apart, scrubbed with soap and water, and then disinfected for 10 minutes after each use. This keeps the public safe. However, it appeared that the plastic liner had been ripped out and the fan NOT cleaned. I promply told one of the instructors. She told me, I will speak to everyone about it tomorrow. But when Wednesday came nothing was said. I then told another instructor who simply glared at me, she too did nothing. By Friday my concerns were escilating. I had a chance to speak to the owner, Kayla Sloan, about everything Ive just mentioned. Her reply and I quote was, I told you before this is a school and there is a learning curve. I wrote a letter to the state board informing them of the situation.My next concern was the didinfectant used to clean the clippers and other implements used for pedicures. I saw the student that said she cleaned them daily, that same Friday, hanging around the area for at least 5 min. I assumed she was changing the disinfectant. This was not the case. I had forgotten the tools used for my pedulucures in the disinfectant that afternoon. On Saturday I sent a text to an instructor about it. On Monday morning the implements where still there. This meant the disinfectant couldnt have been replaced. The disinfectant is ineffective if not changed daily. I also looked at the disinfectant and it was cloudy with debrit floating in it. I took a photo and reported the incident to the state board.

They do a good job on perms it stays in a long time

They treat their students poorly from what I have been told and it has been really hard on my mom. My brother pays for it so she still goes, but it is hard on her. She cries when she has to go and on the way home. Owner is apparently not very nice to anyone...

Nail safety is questionable at best. Never again.

I received a spiral perm today . Thank you girls! But not impressed they didnt have what they needed to do their job . Thats not there fault ... who does a perm then says oh we dont have any perm solution someone will have to go buy it. To the owners you need to get your act together to run your business or you shouldnt be in the hair business if you cant keep your store stocked with what they need. Thank you !!!

Shirley is mad that she broke her contract with the school . You dont get refunds when you are the party at fault. Look up the health score! It is 100. She should start a slander suit the law is in her favor.
