Burgess Elementary is a very great school. They make sure every student is set up for excellence! Very well organized and since were in the army my daughter had to leave, we are very disappointed with how the new school is run in comparison to Burgess Elementary! Cant express how much we loved this school and hope more schools decide to care for their students as much as they do. Best school ever!

I had bad experience with ghis school. First of all, my son in 1st grade didnt receive lunch for 3 days in raw, even not complimentary toast! I gave check for $100 when I sign him up. His class teacher mr. Murray ,apparently didnt care, I had to email, call and go to front desk to solve this! 3 months later on parent-teacher meeting, she was showing me for about 20 min results and tests of some other kid, instead of mine...I realise handwriting was different and then she look at the name...I removed him same day from this school. If this is the best school around, good luck.

Rewrite: I went to this school for 5 years and, for the most part, had a good experience. Here’s a brief rundown, but it has to be short because there’s a character limit and this is five years worth of writing.Primary (pk-3)- The teachers are basically second parents to the students in more ways than one. They have a decent workload and don’t cause many late nights studying, even for people who procrastinate badly (M E). Though it was very often that kids would get punished for the wrong reason or incorrectly accused, most other things overlook that.Elementary specials sucked badly though. It’s been 4 years, but Mrs. G left a mental scar from the verbal abuse she would give students. She would lecture kids on stupid things and if you followed directions contientiously, you would get yelled at. Ms. Herstat was awesome! I wish I had her for more than just first grade. Mrs. Dinkel is still there and treats primary kids like babies. In first through third grade, we couldn’t find a tech teacher, so it was subs. Lastly, I MISS MRS FORD! EVERYONE HATED HER GUTS BUT SHE WAS AWESOME!!!Elementary (3-5)- The teachers don’t give a single rat tooth about you (other than a few), the workload becomes overwhelming, there are too many standardized tests (MAP nine x a year, Cogat up to three x, and SC Ready/Pass up to two/three x), and don’t think that if you’re new you’ll fit in easily. The popular kids are jerks and spread rumors that both ruin your reputation (not that I had a good one), and make your teachers hate you. The teachers have favorites, yell at you for no reason, and at this point, it’s the janitors and principal (I love Mrs. Coy) to make you want to live through the day. Only teacher I didn’t hate was Mrs. Critelli/Henry, SHES AMAZING!!!Specials- Pretty much the same as before but with different teachers. The coaches were pretty funny and though I hated gym still, made it okay. The music teacher is Mrs. Brunk (her name changed after I left school) and she’s strict but laid back. Art teacher is still Mrs. Dinkel, who gets stricter, but I like art so I learned to deal with it. Technology was awful to the point that I contemplated skipping it, but it was outside and I try to be a decent student. Lastly, library sucked still. There was no fun, nor games, just ACHIVE FREAKING 3000! It was basically the “SIT DOWN AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK” class.Anyway, that’s my review. A few other things though, the bathrooms are pretty dirty and the school is kind of dark. The library is beyond creepy when the lights are off, but other than the appearance of an abandoned prison (the cafeteria), I really appreciated what the school stands for and who they are/create as the next generation.
