I bought tickets for Reba and Trisha Yearwood and I didnt even get the chance to talk to him even though I raised my hand and everything and they still wouldnt let me talk to them disappointing and it was for the zoom call I will never buy event tickets from 92y again it was for 25 dollars they could have spare ten minutes and let me talk to Reba and Trisha Yearwood.

Its playtime! Ball pit, climbing maze, rings, tunnels, balance beams: the 92nd Street Ys indoor jungle gym has it all for the toddler or young child. I brought my 2-year old daughter here on a cold winter day and she absolutely enjoyed exploring all of the play equipment. Everything was so colorful, safe and enjoyable. There was plenty of adult staff spread throughout the play place to monitor each of the play sets. There were not too many children here when we visited: perhaps 12 at the most. I would definitely come back here for play time.

Have many things there including even a swimming pool. I know best Israeli Folk Dancing there that is there every Wednesdays (expect Jewish holidays) from 8:15pm-12:45am. Dancing alternates about every half hour between Couple and Circle dancing. Usually every time they teach 1 Circle dance and 1 Couple dance. Notices of dances are sent in advance to people that come and put there name on email list. Teaching basics (pre-registered series) is before 7-8pm. Current fee is $14 per person. Now usually on 4th Floor but was on 2nd Floor Ballroom and now also there some of the time. Few Saturday nights a year there are parties. BIG Marathon party is always evening before Thanksgiving holiday until 4am where lots of people participate. Really fun and good exercise.

I have mixed feeling about this place. We have had our daughter’s third birthday party here. It felt like the staff didn’t really know what they were doing or moved slowly and unsure. The music was a failure. I’ve made a playlist of my daughters favorite songs but their ancient player couldn’t connect (and they admitted it happens a lot). The whole gym maze experience is okay, we live very close so will come back but only because it’s the closest indoor playground. The gym doesn’t seem clean, and looks cluttered

So much under one roof.It would be easy to simply write this off as a Y (as in YMCA) but it is so much more - from the beautiful theater space, to the amble changing rooms, to the reasonable and tasty cafe (on the third floor). If you live near (or its an easy commute) there are so many classes and benefits to joining this Y (including readings and orchestra - not just gym stuff.)Note: There is security at the door. The security is VERY friendly and helpful.

Ive only been here one time. I enjoyed the performance. The space is small and unique. Due to the size it feels like you are part of the performance and all the seats are good ones. The details on the walls and inhaler the ceiling are worth the visit on their own. Three only downside is that the acoustics are not that good.

We registered our daughter in the polliwogs swim class. Instructors were nice and the classes themselves were good and fun. Our issues were that the swimming pool itself is too cold and also the family locker room space is limited. We ended up having to drop out after only 4 of 14 classes for unrelated reasons. We tried contacting them multiple times for a credit for a future season. We got no response to our emails or messages. Perception was they are unorganized or intentionally unresponsive.

Went for a ceramics class and had a great time. The instructors were friendly and very helpful.I was also taken aback by the programs they have. There were signs all around promoting many different speakers that they have had or coming in the future. It read like a whos who.I will defiantly add the 92Y to my list of places to watch.

The 92Y is a wonderful establishment offering creative and athletic classes of all kinds: pottery, drawing, swimming, and so on. The May Center within the 92Y is a great place to get some exercise. Reasonable rates, large space, top notch facilities. Premises is clean. Staff is friendly. A boon to the neighborhood. Classrooms in the art wing are somewhat dated but the supplies are plentiful and the instruction is patient and thorough. Taking a class here is both fun and a great way to meet people.

Took a quick ceramics class here last night. Ive taken 2 classes before in other locations but the instructors here were the best I ever had. Helped me out and taught me new techniques and hand postions and even showed me better control for being left handed when no instructor has done that before. My creative interest has definitely been reopened and I plan on looking into the other classes offered here and learning something knew. Hoping that all the staff is as knowledgeable and helpful as she was.

One of my good friends had the pleasure of staying here and really enjoyed it. I actually am writing this because they just wouldnt stop talking about it so hopefully this will help. The biggest thing he told me was how amazing the staff was to him and how accommodating they were to all his needs. He got there late due to a flight but was still able to check in and get all settle into his space. He was even able to extend his stay another day when his flight got delayed. It was a great space and friendly atmosphere. I even thought about staying there if I needed a vacation!

Wonderful place to attend events and take classes. That said, I have never come across more bureaucratic, unreasonable security guards in my life, and that has completely annihilated every positive thing I have to say about this place. After living here for almost 8 months, I am completely fed up with the constantly changing security policies and power tripping guards. I would rather have to go through the TSA every time I entered and left the building than deal with these guys.

The 92nd includes what a real building should contains such as different cultural activities, classes and special events to enjoy. As well, the fact that has pool, gym, teacher, wide lobby, terrace, clean rooms and residences is something for the place. Finally the location nearby from Central Park, the boulevard of Lexington Av and subway makes it worth to stay.

The children are very under-supervised at the after school program. A parent video taped my kid while she was changing her clothes in the locker room. When I called to get an explanation, they put me on the phone with a lawyer instead of program staff. The lawyer was misinformed and not very smart. This is INHUMANE treatment and it felt like dealing with the mafia. I cannot in good conscience recommend this institution to any parent.

Another Reason I dont like to wear swim caps in the pool because they fall off a lot and I cant leave it on. Unless you find a pool that dont require Swim caps I would not recommend this business.P.SSafe to say I will not go back there to swim in there pool again

I had a great experience at the 92nd Street Y. My husband and I attended a lecture there with Jeffrey Eugenides (one of my favorite contemporary authors) and Jennifer Egan. The venue is fairly small, which provides an intimate and academic feeling, which I like. At the event, there were book tables set up outside the theater to purchase books, and the authors did a free signing after the lecture. I would recommend the 92nd Street Y for any similar author events, and I have heard great things about some of the other programs. I will attend another event there for sure.

This is a review on their gym facilities. I signed up for a 3 month memebership through groupon. While its not fancy gym it provides all a person needs for a workout. Plus they have a pool and classes for people who need to learn. They also provide two towels and a clean locker room. I would recommend the facilites for anyone around that area and is looking for a new gym. I didnt renew the contract because it was simply too far to travel especial for someone who was living in Brooklyn.

This historically Jewish institution - with an extraordinary history and legacy -- now goes out of its way to book speakers that demonize Jews and demonize Israel. Honest criticism is fine, but telling blatant lies to generate hatred is something else. If Adolf Hitler wrote a novel, the 92nd street Y would invite him to discuss his novel as an excuse to let him spout off his racist views and generate ethnic hatred. What has happened to the 92nd Street Y?
