Me and my kids (13, 11 & 8 years old) have been going there for 1year and we have so much fun!! It has inspiring teachers for both, adults and children, and everyone is so kind. The environment is personal and welcoming to any family. Highly recommend!!!

Our son (8 yo) has been going to professional TKD for the last 4 years and we couldn’t be happier. The ethos is amazing, and a perfect balance of discipline and nurturing. Grand Master Kim is the heart and soul of the club, and genuinely loves all his students like his own kids. Our son has really thrived and absolutely loves it. My 3.5 year old started here a few months ago, and I was worried at first that it would be a bit too much for him but he has thrived and I think it has helped him build self confidence which has been my main goal. All of the teachers have been great and somehow even manage to stop his tantrums faster and motivate him more than I ever could.

My daughter started TaeKwonDo classes and also registered in their summer camp and weve been very happy about it. The staff is very friendly and has accommodated our requests when weve needed them to do so. I also very much like the atmosphere there; I think its a very good place for my daughter to learn and to enjoy herself.

I love Manhattan... But Professional Taekwondo has some great non-Manhattan qualities: friendly, clean, respectful, and disciplined to name a few. Instructors are professional and patient with beginners. Lessons are socially distanced and safe.

Our boys have been attending TKD here for months. They both love it and always look forward to the TKD sessions. The instructors are professional and are also attentive towards their students. Both indoor and outdoor sessions are available - students can choose both. When indoors, good sanitizing between customers. Definitely happy with the classes!

My daughters been attending P-TKD for the last 3 years, and she loves it, and so do we. On top of TKD, she learns discipline, self-control, pride, and other skills that are really helpful for a kid her age (8yo). And shes made so many friends. The staff are warm, kind and responsive, but also firm, and very diverse. The owner, Grandmaster Kim, is really funny and great. For COVID, they have both limited indoor classes and outdoor classes at local parks, all with masks required. Please support a local minority business owner!

Best tae kwon do classes for kids in the area! Instructors are terrific, patient while not being too soft. Very friendly and welcoming environment, even for very young kids. My five year old daughter has fallen in love with the classes and looks forward to earning new belts! Really teaches the activity as well as discipline.

This a brilliant school for kids first starting taekwondo. Ive been bringing my charge here for 2 years now and I have to say hes grown in so many positive ways: hes more respectful, focused, and grounded. The instructors here are truly gifted when it comes to dealing with children. They know when to be compassionate and when to discipline. They are patient teachers that have created an environment that make children to feel like they can achieve great things in taekwondo!

My son has been attending this school for 3 years now from 4 years of age. He is now 7. This is a very caring tae Kwan do school that keeps the kids disciplined. The teachers understand that all children are different and get trained and taught to their individual needs to be a success in this craft.Really nice people and a place my son enjoys attending.

Our Son has been at training here for 2 years. The instructors do a great job with kids. So much so that we enrolled our son in the after school program where they pick him up after school 5 days a week. The school is very disciplined, respectful and provides rigorous Tae Kwondo training with a great focus on kids. Our son is in First grade and has already participated in 2 competitions which were a great experiences for him.

I really like taekwondo and Master Her. I always have fun seeing my friends and learning new skills. I go with my two sisters. My oldest sister and mom are second degree black belts. We have been with Professional taekwondo for over 5 years.

I am a college student who want to train my patience and relax myself from my stressful college life. Then, I looked up online before I took my Taekwondo class here. I saw most people highly recommended this school, and I saw they have a promotion trial for two weeks, which is a really good deal compared with other Taekwondo school. Then, I got there to observe the class. It was mind-blowing. I was amazed by those kicking. Closing the end of the class, I decided to have a two-week trial to see if it really works for me. During two weeks, I very appreciated Master Kim, instructor Lee, instructor Kim, instructor Yu and other instructor that I had class with. They are very nice and patient in teaching students. Now, I am still taking my class there. I really recommend this school if u are adults or college students who want to relax yourself and lose some weight.

Instructors in this Dojang are qualified, patient and friendly. Most of them are from Korea and/or have learnt from Grand Master Kim. Theyre a passionate group and it was an easy decision signing up with them after the trial classes. Feels right at home in the middle of this crazy city! Another great thing: its steps away from Manhattans Koreatown, perfect after training!

Professional Taekwondo is an amazing place. The instructors have fostered a great community and have a real passion for the sport. There are plenty of classes to attend throughout the week and whenever there is a New York tournament PTKD does very, very well.

I started going there around 2014, and 3 years later I still never get bored. Theres a new game/ exercise almost every week, and its always exiting to see what youre doing next. The instructors are all very kind but determined, and also have a great sense of humor. If youre looking for the best dojang in nyc, you dont need to search farther. Professional TKD balances between being quite physically challenging, and being a comforting community full of laughter and love full of people that come together to do what they love.

Before joining PTKD, I took the trial classes at various schools across NYC and PTKD was by far the best school out of all: there is a personal approach to every student based on his/her skills, general physical strength and even personality. All instructors are very caring and thoughtful of their students. Every student is given with an opportunity to progress at their own pace, but the staff wont let you slack. The environment at the school is very friendly and every student is treated as a part of the family. I am very happy with my experience at PTDK.
