I love Bridge for Dance..(and recently recommend them to a friend)I only worked with 2 great teachers Mark Mindek & Max McGuire.They are fluent in Tap, Jazz & Ballroom (FYI Mark also dances on STILTS) amazing!!They both excellent teachers .. Creative, patient and did I say TALENTED!!!! Ill be back to continue my most favorite dance style..TANGO!!! Loving it!

My daughter has been taking dance classes here for several years (shes now 13) and has always been excited and engaged by the teachers, whether tap, hip hop or aerial. Its been a great experience all around!

There are not a lot of opportunities for older dancers to dance and perform. Bridge for Dance has given me those opportunities. This is a very inclusive community. I recommend Bridge for Dance wholeheartedly.

This is a fabulous go-to place for pursuing dance professionally as well as for those interested only in the health benefits of dance. They are flexible and GREAT at communication. They also maintain an impressive roster of teachers for private and group.

Ive been taking Marks Jazz Dance Class at Bridge for Dance for acouple of years. Its a great class and the teacher is excellent. Also,the combinations he choreographs are always varied and fun.

I love my zoom tap classes with Mary Six Rupert. I’ve been able to continue dancing and learning through the lockdown. It’s easy to sign up and connect and the instruction and service is great! I look forward to taking in-person classes again but - until then - these classes have been a wonderful alternative. Thank you!

Nice, open and airy studio. My Zumba instructor GO KATO rented this space on 7/25 for Zumba. He’s a great Zumba teacher. GO has rented the space again for Sunday August 8 at 11am. The price is $10 to be paid on your 8th.Come enjoy this nice studio with big windows and lots of space!

I am a dance and aerial teacher who has taught at numerous studios throughout NY. I have subbed many classes at Bridge over the years and it is by far one of my favorites. It is a wonderful studio. The staff is incredibly talented and friendly. The kids and parents are a joy to be around and always make me feel very comfortable and welcome when I am there. No drama. They have a nice and clean facility. Their large room has a great hardwood floor and gets lots of natural light from outside. If you’re looking for a studio that encourages both hard work and a positive and loving attitude then you should definitely check them out.

I take tap class with Mary 6 Rupert. She is the best tap teacher I have ever studied with. She gives a really wonderful class..... great instruction, excellent feedback, creative routines, and most of all great fun!! Mary 6s tap class is the highlight of my week!!!

Classes at the Bridge, Belly dance, and now Ballet have helped me keep going as a dancer/mover, past back problems, and into my older years. The atmosphere is totally accepting and supportive. Luckily, it is close to my house. I have been attending at least ten years and I plan to keep taking classes indefinitely, growing and improving as a dancer. Thank you Bridge for Dance!

Pandemic has changed all our lives. The bridge continues providing great service, nice dance space and reasonable. If your looking for a nice clean large studio, the bridge is it.

My daughter, who is serious about dance, joined the teen company at Bridge about 2 years ago. Bridge nicely caters to a wide range of dancers in terms of both ability and interest. The girls in the Company are supportive of one another, and also push each other to achieve to the best of their ability. The teachers are fabulous and meet the student where they are, and challenge them. My daughters private teacher, Fiona Oba, is fabulous! My daughter has strengthened her technique and grown as a dancer under Fionas tutelage.

Wonderful studio! Great offerings and they really care about and support the dance community. Highly recommend.

We love Bridge for Dance. Both my daughters have taken a range of dance classes - modern, ballet, aerial dance(!) - and loved them all all. Its a very laid back institution, so nice and flexible. The teachers are great. My kids love it and we have been very happy there. So glad to have them in the neighborhood!

My daughter has really enjoyed Bridge for Dance. She’s trying out new types of dance (hip hop/Jazz), making new friends, and building confidence as a dancer. The teacher is very patient and fun. I’m really glad we found this dance studio (after trying a few others on the UWS and not liking it as much). Looking forward to having her continue to grow with Bridge For Dance!

At my suggestion, my good friends daughter enrolled in a childrens summer dance program at Bridge For Dance. She had a wonderful experience there, learning different types of dance in a happy, supportive environment. It was an overall great experience!

My daughter has been taking classes at Bridge for Dance for several years. She loves it! The last few years in Aerial Circus she has learned so much from Stephanie who is fantastic teacher! Joamer is great in communicating and we cant wait to be able to get to taking classes at BfD!

Ive been renting space for rehearsals with my dance partner for years. The people who run the place couldnt be nicer. I feel lucky to have them in the neighborhood where I live.

Have been renting a studio here for a few months and it’s been such a great experience. It is always so clean and the space is beautiful. The staff is helpful, friendly and easy going!

I used to dance with the Paris Opera and then came to NYC and performed on Broadway. I eventually changed career and stoped dancing for3 decades.I was dreaming of dancing again but couldnt find the right class for adults until I discovered Bridge For Dance.Their ballet class, taught by Fiona, was perfect for any level, and their non-judgemental attitude and sincere support, brought me back to dancing. I am hugely grateful for BFD for making it possible. They revived a very special dream.

Our daughter Julia has danced for 5 years at Bridge For Dance and says it’s her second family. She started as a shy and reluctant 9 year old dancing once a week, and has blossomed into an accomplished tap, ballet, modern and jazz performer, going to class 4 nights a week. Contrary to being too much, she says the discipline and exercise helps her to study and focus more effectively and relax more easily. We’re so thrilled with the confidence and grace dance has given her. The good habits of dance will last hee a lifetime.

I have worked with Bridge for Dance through work and I have also attended classes with my daughter. They are wonderful to work with -- responsive and flexible. They have excellent instructors that are able to accommodate a range of skill, styles and needs. The space is pretty, too, with windows overlooking Broadway.

The only reason why Im giving it 4 stars is because they no longer have a yoga class :(Over all great environment, Denise really pulled it together to expand. I heard their dtla location shut down but the on in cc is sweet. I just wish I had more time to attend their classes and I hope and cross my fingers they bring back their yoga classes

I regularly rent out Bridge for Dance for my workshops. The large studio space is great - very spacious, beautiful new floors and a wonderful sound system. The staff is always lovely and accommodating. I highly recommend renting their studio!

Bridge for Dance is awesome ! Staff is very friendly and will work with you if needed. They treated my dance kids with the up most respect. Wish they had more Bridge for Dance around the Tri State area!! I will continue coming here!

Bridge for Dance is the hidden gem of New York City! With high quality instructors such as Mary Six Rupert and a big studio with partially sprung wood floors and NO beams in the middle of the dance space, it is a dancer’s dream come true!

I love Bridge for Dance! They are inclusive, instructive and very user friendly. Its a wonderful neighborhood resource. And their end of year show is a treat!

My daughter is really loving the modern dance class. She’s been in rigid preprofessional dance programs since first grade and this class is a nice change. It’s creative and she says she feels like she has freedom to contribute choreography.

Great instructors, our daughter loved taking a few Aerial classes there. Its acrobatics with silks hanging from the ceiling, climbing and swinging in the big circus rings suspended in the air,. Great fun, convenient location, nice staff.

Update from my last review! They just changed their name I think and they also allow instant booking on MBO. Going to try it out and if experience is awesome theyre getting a 4 star.

What a fantastic program!! My daughter found her joy in your ariel circus class- and the spring break camp was wonderful too (that from a girl who does NOT usually like camps!)

Ive been taking Ballet consistently at Bridge for Dance for 10 years and love it: The classes are small and the instruction is first rate. As a result, both my technique and overall enjoyment of dance have blossomed. Occasionally, Ive had the privilege to perform in various local venues with students and faculty of BFD - who in many cases have become my friends. I happily support BFD as my neighborhood dance school and hope to see it flourish for decades to come.

Wonderful small, intimate dance school where your child can flourish and where adults have fun dancing at many levels of skill. I highly recommend it!
