I was a student there in the before Covid times and I am happy to see them return. The studios at the new location are slightly smaller than their predecessors, they are well-suited for classes.

I decided to take a dance workshop in hustle six years ago. I chose You Should Be Dancing based on a friends recommendation and I wasnt disappointed. The teachers are wonderful, as are the students. And, its a warm and personal place to learn to dance any number of styles, in modern studios, with great sound systems, air conditioning and more! The great plus to You Should Be Dancing is its parties. After 9 p.m. it turns into a Club with either live bands or great DJs and you dance, dance, dance. Needless to say, its six years later and Im hooked. Ask for my wonderful private teacher, Ricardo Torres. Theres nothing he cant teach you. Hes warm, funny, patient and inspiring!

This is the place with multiple dance floors and a hustle room with a bar. Awesome. Favorite place in NYC. They have simultaneous hustle/West coast swing/ballroom parties.

Great place to learn, and dance, a gamut of the terpsichorean arts. I especially like their party nights, and among those, the ones featuring a live band!

Nice studio. Went for a celebratory party. Well organized and fun.

YSBD has terrific group and private dance lessons for beginners--> advanced levels. wonderful teachers, great learning environment, great customer service as well (for example our class card had expired by a couple of days but they let us use the last class anyhow!)

Very good place to learn dancing. We made a holiday in NY for one week and took several lessons. It was great fun and we learned easily with our teacher Stephanie Shapiro.

Took a date here once while in New York. Had a fantastic time and lots of classes to choose from. I went with a lindy swing night and my date loved it. Would highly recommend.

Went to a tango milonga. A bit small. The regular crowd is not very welcoming to newcomers

You should be nicer! Militant instructors lead to unfriendly dancers who extend themselves to local venues. Free yourself from fascism and dance away from here! Male leaders are encouraged to overdominate. Please be nicer.

Very great instruction for West Coast Dance. Very friendly atmosphere. Learned a lot and had a lot of fun.

Yeah, finally I learned some dance steps. I feel good when I dance with a girl. Teachers are really nice. I like the Cuban salsa classes.

I went lindy hopping at the Frim Fram Jam that happens here on Thursday nights for a beginner lesson and social dance for $12 (theres a student rate). The atmosphere was really casual as there were all kinds of people there. Needless to say the social dance was extremely well attended and lively. It got hot in there quick! Anyway I would definitely recommend checking it out, even if youve never swing danced before!
