Toms team provided an excellent learning experience and I look forward to taking more classes with him and them. The technique review was concise and to the point. The voice work was from one one of the worlds most expert and provided techniques fundamental to actor training. Toms insights and perspective indicated ample support and a high standard for the students to reach for. His sense of humor, teaching and presentation skills were icing on the cake.

Learning in a VERY controlled environment, an almost cult-like atmosphere. You will notice distance growing between you and your family/home base and it is encouraged under a veil of necessity, especially if you have an accent or speech impairment, he will use this against you to convince you not to speak to your family. You will definitely be made to feel you are in the wrong if you ever disagree with Tom. I was in the first year, so maybe he has learnt some valuable lessons along the way. You will be charged random fees for being late, missing a class or if they decide they want to charge for studio time. Save your money and get real education that doesnt come with a side of trauma.

A working actor since childhood, I studied with some great teachers in Los Angeles before relocating to Austin where most of my auditions are on tape or now live zoom. Tom held a one-day workshop in Austin several years back, and he literally changed the molecules in the room. Thereafter as the Local President of SAG-AFTRA and Chair of the Austin Actors Conservatory, I invited him to do similar classes for our actors. This summer I was invited (and actually with the pandemic now have had time) to attend Toms Saturday sessions via zoom, being introduced to his acting techniques that mirror those of some my teachers, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Susan Anspach, Joseph Bernard. I cant tell you how much Ive learned in such a short period of time and now applying these techniques to my craft, which oddly enough are taking me back to my roots on the stage. Hopefully, when things open up again, well all be able to meet in person again.

Had a great time in class I will be referring some of my fellow Actor’s friends and pretty soon signing back up for perfecting my craft monthly!!

I got a kick out of the two Southern women bickering dialogue. But it had me wondering if these ladies were in separate hotel rooms because the curtains behind them looked identical. I loved Dianas first musical number. Very impressive because doing a broadway/opera song isnt that easy to do during a Actors workshop. Emanuels monologue was devilled ham at its best. Good to watch some of Toms students perform. I certainly wasnt judgemental with what I saw. It should give me that much greater focus when it comes to attending my regular instructors online sessions. A pity we didnt get to say Hi to each other online. Oh well. I can respect ones busy schedule. Thank you for inviting me to watch. It made up for last Augusts disastrous attempt to be part of the class. Look forward to the post workshop appointment this Monday. Oh by the way. The exercises before class made up for a sleepless night I had last night. They helped to wake me up so I can witness some talent.

One of the worst conservatories in New York. Talk to any of the many dropouts to make sure that you have the full picture! Tom and Emily are only helpful and nice up until youre locked into the contract they have you sign.Look elsewhere if you actually want to pursue a career in acting.

If you are an experienced actor or an actor just beginning, the Tom Todoroff Studio classes are more than worth the money invested(which is about $4 per hour). Tom uses a system primarily based on the Michael Shurtleff book for Auditioning. The core of the training are the Guideposts. If you just read the book you may get it. If you read the book and take a couple classes you may get it. Actually, you never get it! But you learn about commitment and craft. And you learn that there is a blueprint/plan to follow. Which is more than you get from most acting classes.

I have a degree in theatre but learned more from Toms two-day intensive than I did during my four years of school. He will show you exactly what you need to succeed as an actor. Toms ability to help an actor transform a performance from unremarkable to outstanding may look like magic, but he is no magician. My experience at Tom Todoroff’s Master Class in 2018 is what led me to sign up to attend his NYC Summer Intensive last June. It was a life-changing and empowering experience! And that is not because I fell and broke my leg and had to have surgery in New York to insert a rod and three screws to stabilize my femur so it could heal, which I have been doing for the six months since my accident!One would think that could put me off of acting all together—-I was pursuing acting and literally “broke a leg”! But I was so impressed and excited and inspired by what I learned, both in Tom’s Master Class and in the NYC Intensive that, this week, one of the first I have been upright and mobile, on a cane instead of crutches, I HAD to attend this class, I also intend to return to the NYC Summer Intensive this coming summer!I was fortunate to be one of the two students this past Saturday who was chosen to deliver a monologue in front of the class. I received some very intense coaching in the process and went from speaking words I had memorized and trying to express the emotions I felt were called for to play the character for which they were written, to feeling the words as if I were speaking them myself for the first time. Instead of playing the scene, the scene was playing me. It felt real, authentic, personal.I can’t wait to spend another week in New York and continue to pursue this amazing craft of acting. By far my favorite class that I’ve ever taken. Tom is an awesome teacher!

Tom is the one person I know who, even though you feel like you’ve found every moment in your monologue or scene, has a way of introducing something you never considered, and drawing out that extra little bit, helps you turn a good performance into a great performance.

Major take away:Loving the work isn’t enough, but doing the work will test whether you truly love it, and that will have its own reward.
