And therefore the location is convenient with lots of parking and space. I have even fenced all over the state and the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club fencing center is the easiest experience in the distance.

I started fencing for about a year ago, I was so shy before but Tim Morehouse fencing club is such an amazing place filled with amazing people and I got so comfortable with it right away! My son Timmy, who is now 8, has been taking fencing lessons here for the last year, and he has had a great experience. He loves to come to practice, and has had the opportunity to fence in a few tournaments. As a parent, its really fun to see him learn to enjoy the sport and get better. All of the coaches have been very supportive and encouraging. My son has had one-on-one lessons primarily with Coach Melvin Rodriguez who has been great - his love both for teaching and fencing are really evident when he is working with the kids. Lastly, one bonus which I didnt anticipate, is that Ive really enjoyed getting to know the other families of the kids who fence at TMFC. As a parent who didnt fence himself, and whose child is just starting out, the parents whose children are more advanced have been great about showing us the ropes and explaining how things work, and the whole community has been very friendly and supportive.

My daughter first attended Tim Morehouse Fencing Club for a summer camp and loved it. I was surprised when she requested to enroll for the fall session. She has been at the club for about 6 months now and seems to really enjoy it. She is a tough 8-year old to impress, so I am happy when she is eager to go to class twice each week. I am especially impressed with Coach Luka, who is extremely positive and enthusiastic with her. He sends emails and texts updating me about her progress and his positive demeanor really encourages her to try best. I am happy to see my daughter enjoy an activity that is both physically and mentally challenging in a supportive environment.

Coach Luka has been truly an inspiration for all of us. Although we are not destined to go to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, he takes our love and passion for the sport seriously. He is a wonderful instructor and gives us so much encouragement. My decision to go back into fencing was quite sudden and I had never fenced Sabre before. I have to say he had me hooked Day 1. My two daughters have been fencing at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club for about a year now and I have to say, this has been such a positive experience for our whole family. I have started learning Sabre fencing in Tim Moorehouse this summer under the guidance of Coach Luka who I have found to be a terrific teacher/coach and genuinely supportive of my learning. I try to go there early to warm-up before the lessons and have multiple times to observe him giving lessons to various levels of fencers. He is always helpful and willing to demonstrate the actions that I have questions about even outside of my own lessons. Coach Luka’s lessons and classes are at high energy levels and his enduring passion for the sport is contagious to the students! As he teaches at a very high caliber level, he wants to see the results in his students but within the healthy athletic environment. He strongly encourages intellectual development of Sabre fencers through the informative lessons and challenging group classes. He provides a positive learning environment in which a beginner likes me to have the opportunity to learn and develop fencing skills with competitiveness and sportsmanship. In a word, people in the Tim Morehouse are genially nice and welcoming to new beginners and coach Luka is a very attentive and supportive who teaches/coaches students with true dedication.

When I first joined Tim Morehouse Fencing Club, I was a sort of shy high school fencer in limbo between how intensely to pursue my fencing career. I was just beginning to condition myself to the escalated regiment of practicing for/competing at USFA tournaments, and trying to get as far as I could go in the sport. At the time I felt pretty insecure about my fencing capabilities, but Tim truly took me under his wing. Not only did he always ensure that the club was a comfortable, welcoming and supportive community for every fencer, but Tim and all of the coaches/staff at Morehouse encouraged me to pursue all of my passions -- fencing or otherwise. Throughout high school, I balanced fencing with my biggest love for filmmaking (which are both quite challenging to accomplish at their fullest, believe me) which is why I’m truly grateful for my wholistic experience at Morehouse, as I owe it to this club for helping me believe in my decisions while also making me a richer, stronger and more independent person with a broad net of well-trusted true friends.
