Terrific classes for 5 -6 year olds! Our son did the little tigers class and Master Wi does a wonderful job. We also threw his birthday party here which was a huge success!!!

Master An is absolutely outstanding. We have been doing Little Tigers for a year and love it. I have a 5yo and 3 yo both enrolled. Master An is an excellent teacher and mentor for the kids- the kids love and respect him (as do the parents). He teaches mind and body focus, body strength and body control, and skills to develop confidence socially. I see these skills coming out in areas beyond class which is amazing! I love that it’s 2 classes a week, lots of availability, daily options and flexible with changes if need be. Master An is also meticulous with Covid 19 protocols. Highly recommend.

My 7 years old son has been part of Champions Martial Arts Upper West Side for almost 4 months, and I cant find the words to express how much we appreciate Master An.He teaches the students Taekwondo, but also respect, for themselves and others, patience, true kindness and self confidence.My boy is so excited to go to class. I have never seen him so motivated and focused to do something. ( except video games, of course :)If you are looking for a great experience for your kids, go for it.

My daughter absolutely loves attending. Even through the pandemic, the class times and curriculum was very flexible. Master An understands my daughter’s strengths and he encourages her to do her best. We are looking forward to her continuing growth. I would definitely recommend!

Master An creates a balanced atmosphere of friendliness and discipline. We wanted my 4yo to improve his focus and attention. He was engaged and following instructions from day one. There is no learning curve, students are jumping and kicking within the first minutes. We’ve tried soccer, swimming, music classes but this is our favorite.

Amazing club with such personal service. During these difficult time Master An and his team have been life savers by keeping the classes going on line and created a great sense of community. Master An is great with the kids. My 2 kids (age 10 & 11) really look forward to the classes. He is very encouraging and highlights the progress each student makes. Even with the remote sessions right now the kids are enjoying the classes and are learning.

This place is wonderful. They are kind and patient and they have made every effort to continue classes with their students online during this lockdown. They even went so far as to send us our daughters white belt in the mail after she passed her belt test online. Its a great addition to the neighborhood.

I highly recommend Champions Martial Arts UWS. I signed up our 3 kids (7, 10, 12) in late 2018. I had no idea what to expect or if the kids would enjoy it. I am so happy to say that more than a year later they have all earned their yellow belts and we have seen a tangible increase in focus, confidence and self-esteem. This was perhaps most true for our daughter. The kids are eager to go to class at the studio, or more recently via Zoom. It has also been good for their fitness level. Critical to their success has been Master An, a fantastic, supportive teacher who brings structure to the class and has a wonderful ability to motivate all kinds of students. I have also appreciated Master An reaching out via text to keep me up to date on class times, belt tests, etc. If you are considering doing trial lessons or joining I highly recommend it. Our son has been going to the Dojang for 8 months and he loves it. Master An is a great instructor and is great at getting through to kids. I can definitely say that Master An is a dedicated person in teaching Taekwondo and one of the best masters in New York. In my view as one of the students in this studio, he knows how to manage teaching and encouraging students including adults, youngsters as well as kids! He highlights the progress of each student and communicate sincerely with all of them. My non-sporty four year old was immediately hooked on Master Ans classes, which offer a good balance between structure and flexibility. Once the physical location closed due to pandemic, Master An quickly moved to live zoom classes. In fact, he expanded the schedule to offer daily instructions, which we really appreciate. I signed my rambunctious 5-year-old son up to take beginner Taekwondo with Master An at The UWS Champions Martial Arts shortly after this location opened up last fall. My son took to TKD immediately, largely because Master An & his staff are so phenomenal with the kids. Early on, each child learns physical discipline, manners and respect for others, self-protection and even some Korean, but the main reason we love it so much is because Master An himself shows so much respect and kindness toward the kids as well. He immediately knew every child by name and consistently calls them by their names no matter how many kids are in attendance. He makes each girl and boy feel seen, cared for and special. Since Covid, he has been so careful to reopen slowly and safely, limiting the number of kids who can attend at once and cleaning and disinfecting between each class. I honestly didn’t hesitate to send my son back into the studio. Master An has given my son so much joy and self-confidence and I’m so grateful he is a part of such a welcoming, special place!

Master An has been a wonderful teacher for our girls and the dojang is a great addition for the neighborhood. Our girls are getting a strong Taekwondo foundation and Master Ans positive teaching style gives them the confidence to grow their skills. His communication with parents is also top notch.

My son had joined a different Taekwondo school nearby, and I didnt like the way its operated. After 3 days, they have you a white belt. There was no structure, and no communication. Their mistake was to put my son in the back of the class and ignore him as a punishment for trying to help another fellow student. I quickly pulled him out of there.On our way home from school one day, we passed by the grand opening of Champions Martial Arts. I was interested and had signed up my son the same day. I believe on the first day, my son was the only student to show up. Every week the class began to increase. So weve watched this school grow from day one. And we are extremely happy with Master An. Hes absolutely amazing with the students. Very patient and is very effective in his lessons. Unlike the other school my son was in, in CMA, it took a lot longer to get his white belt. It wasnt just handed to him. He had to work for it. I can go on and on. Just come in or sign up, you wont be disappointed.

This martial arts school has the best Master and teaches the best way for children to learn self defense, build their confidence, learn how to kick and punch And teaches how to concentrate. Children love coming to TaeKwonDo school and always have smiles on their faces. I really like it here and TaeKwonDo teaches children a lot.

Champion Martial Arts UWS is a fantastic addition to the UWS. The studio is clean and class sizes small. Master An is an excellent instructor. He keeps the children engaged and excited. He is patient and warm and kind. Our kids (ages 4 and 6) were nervous at first and did not want to participate but Master An was able to work with them to get them excited about Tae Kwon Do. Now they look forward to their Tae Kwon Do classes. We highly recommend joining CMA!

Very neat and well organized school for learning Olympic Taekwondo. Especially, Master Ahn is a professional tkd instructor has many experiences as a tkd fighter. Also, he knows how to teach young kids with warm heart. Liked it and recommend!!
