Information room employees were very kind and friendly however some teachers are really bad at teaching and communication. For instance, I was in TOEFL class and teacher was Kathleen. She was terrible at communication. She was like an authoritarian commander. I am really disappointed about wasting my time there. On the other hand, some teachers are really really good and friendly. In a nutshell, I am not going to recommend this school, especially for TOEFL.

I’m taking a classes in St.Giles. I’ve been here for 3weeks and I will take a class 6 month more. I’m really happy to be here. The staff are so kind and nice. If I have a problem just go to the staff they are willing to help you. I like my teachers and classmates and enjoy to take the class. So far wonderful experience!

I have been studying for 3 weeks at St Giles, with schedule to stay 24 weeks. The weather, teachers and students are great. Location with excellent infrastructure, organization and location. Super recommend English course at St Giles.

Its a good place to learn english and find new friends.The teacher are nice and they will help you in every case.The social-programm is nice too.One day I have to come back !

Its a great school with a great and helpful staff. Besides learning English, you can join lots of activities to meet new people and practice your speaking. Im so happy to have choosen this school.

If you live in the area and youre looking to get your CELTA certification, I would highly recommend that you get it done here! The staff and tutors were excellent and the students are so sweet! The program is expensive but the CELTA certification is the best.

I studied during two months and I loved the experience. The most important thing is the cultural experience that I had. I liked the teacher and his way of teaching.

This school is very disorganized. if you just want to enjoy the life of nyc for short term then maybe this school is good for you but if you want to learn english, this school barely has plans for students. The teachers just show up and just talk without a teaching plan or the teachers are changed too often that they can not focus on students problems. if you decided to stay for a long term (more than 6 months) in this school, you wouldnt improve as much as you expected. This is what i feel, i wont recommend this school to anybody

I studied there for 4 months and was an Incredible experience . The teachers and stuff in general are always available to help you and a lot of new people arrives every week during all the year , thats the best part.

Highly strange company and management; I could sense the lack of organization off the bat.

This school rarely hires ESL instructors, if ever, because it depends on student enrollment. Even if they do, they will not consider your application. Having a CELTA has no meaning to them. The only way you can get at least an interview with this school is if you have job references, or people who are currently working there that can get your foot-in-the-door. This is true for all language schools, especially in New York.

St Giles is a language school right in the heart of New York! I started looking for language schools in NYC and soon I ended up at EF, but that school is far from Manhattan, so that wasnt an option for me. Soon I arrived at St Giles, I sent an email and in no time I had a personal email back. The communication at that time was already very smooth and personal, so I already had a good feeling. Once arrived at the school and its great! Good, pleasant and nice teachers and nice fellow students. You never sit in a class with more than 12 people, so you get a lot of personal attention. In addition, the school organizes many activities, such as visiting basketball and baseball games (for a nice price) and also dinners and happy hours so that you get to know many other students. The school is located on the fifth avenue, exactly to the Empire State Building, so after school you can do all kinds of things in the city. Ive been to several language schools myself before, but St Giles is one of the best.

Very good school to progress in English. I went there 2 times, the 1st one week, the 2nd two months. The atmosphere is nice, students come mostly from Asia (Japan, Korea ...), which is good when you want to be sure not to be tempted to speak French. The activities organized by the school are not great and are very repetitive.
