Helene fuld is a great school. I graduated in 2000.. along with many of my fellow nurses. You have to study hard.. because the curriculum is tough.

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. I didn’t listen to reviews and graduates I reached out to when they said this school was a joke and unorganized and money hungry, I spent a semester in this school and had the worst experience. Everything is money, credits don’t get transferred because they want you to spend money at their school, faculty and administration is rude you can’t ask a simple question without getting a condescending response in return. Administration is like a high school click it’s all very ridiculous. I’m not sure how this school is still open.

DO NOT ENROLL HERE! I repeat. DO NOT ENROLL HERE to this bridge program. This so called school has been conning and scamming nurses for decades. Don’t be a victim of Ms. Greene and crew. They will take your hard earned money and run. Some heartless people run this facility.

HORRIBLE SCHOOLcurrently in the LPN-RN bridge program and expected to graduate in May 2020. The school is unorganized and looks for ways to get money out of students by adding last minute books, online programs and other requirements needed to pass.Whatever they say tuition is it is not! they are hidden add on fees as the semester progresses. Make sure to watch your fin aid package money WILL go missing and they will charge you extra money in your tuition bill. President of the school was fired from her last job for stealing school funds so be wary.Classes are a joke and they teach you absolutely nothing and do NOT prepare you for NCLEX. Professors are rude and condescending. You will wonder what you are paying money for going to this school. take my advice and go to a cheaper program where the school actually CARES about you being a nurse. not just a means for their next bonus

It is certainly hard work, but it is So rewarding, and there really are some amazing professors here. I am learning and growing as a Nurse and a person. A Full Course load is incredibly taxing, however; it is an accelerated program for a reason. If youre coming into this program, come with readiness, commitment, and persistence. You will need all of it! Good Luck

They get alumni to write good reviews about the school, but most of them had failed at least twice and had been readmitted. So they have paid $4000 three times. It’s a scam that’ll cost you years and thousands of dollars.

A nightmare, professor not interested at all, just there for the job. Rotations in hospitals doing nothing. I dont wish anybody what I went through.

I was so happy i got into this school. even tho i heard a lot of bad things i can truly say they were all true. they prof teach you but the stuff you learned is not on the test. and when u try to give your reason of an answer they will say well thats not the answer i was looking for. i studied the power points, the textbook, and did 200 + questions before a test and some how still couldnt get above a 60. the test were not hard but the questions were not from the study material . the staff is nasty and never willing to help. they rather tell you that you should have dropped.

Excellent program, challenging, but they prepare you for real life situations. I went on to get my BSN, and MSN in nursing education. Not for those who arent fully dedicated.

FYI: My review talks about my experience over 5 years ago and my professors were probably gone .—> I had the opportunity to obtain my Associates RN year 2013. I initially failed the math medical dosage with few points left which was a wake up call for me. I was falling asleep in the class after working graveyard hours. My professor provided me not only explanation of why I failed but helped me realized the need invest more attention into studying. I took the class again and pass the second time but will be terminated from the program once I fail other classes. I was careful and attentive every class, read from my notes and slides, listen when the teacher repeats/focuses a specific topic or material, and study groups. The biggest advantage I had that time was associating myself with these 3 classmates from finish till end. We meet up very early, exchange notes/study materials, study and practice NCLEX questions. The class professors ran out of time reading hundreds of slides to cover chapters of these thick nursing books. Yes, exams seem to not reflect the study materials and I was barely passing. Also, our clinical instructor Prof Maricedo was very helpful and smart. Before going to clinical unit, she expected us to have our assignments ready. During our prehuddle meeting, we go around explaining the pts we had, pathophysiology, symptoms, nursing interventions, treatment. She was willing to explain some class materials when we brought it to her attention. I took my NCLEX board exam 3 months after graduation and the computer stopped around 110 and pass. Exams are geared towards critical thinking, prioritizing, and application based on learning. I’m blessed to have my union pay for my school from the beggining till end except that math class I failed. Currently in FNP program, and my hospital pays full tuition.

My experience at Helene was abominable. I did not learn as well as I would have liked to. The staff is unapproachable and overall nasty. You are never oriented to what is going on in the class how to register for classes or never adequately prepared for exams even after reading material assigned and much less through the lectures. It is more of a time based program but education wise horrible. You are not prepared for the actual career practice and the teachers are intimidating and arrogant with the exception of Dr Paul, Ms. Lavides-Lim, and Professor George. The school is poorly administrated and the new president is beyond words distasteful. She has an air about her and is never directly in contact with her students, has not changed anything for the betterment or to improve the quality of the education nor does she ever survey students to see what changes they would like to see in the school probably for fear of retaliation. The school, during the time I was there had internal disputes, lawsuits etc. that were never really brought to light. The students are also competitive and just down right nasty, I would NEVER, I repeat NEVER recommend anyone to go there. Run while you can!!

Again the administration has changed they sign you up step your money, fail you, and when there’s an investigation (which you can search on google and find) the administrators change. There’s a new president and Vice President. It’s the same routine.

I have been a proud member of the faculty at HFCN for fourteen years. HFCN students are a diverse and dedicated group--our students have broad backgrounds and experiences. The AAS program is accelerated, which means students complete 18 months of coursework in 12 months. If you are willing to give 150% to your studies, you will be rewarded with a great education at HFCN. I thoroughly enjoy teaching at HFCN because our students are motivated and intelligent. In addition to teaching, I enjoy my role as an advisor. Every student at HFCN is assigned to an advisor who follows them through the program from day one through graduation. HFCN is a great community. I encourage anyone who is interested in being part of a dynamic learning enviornment to explore HFCN. Helene Fuld College of Nursing is a great place to work and to learn.

Helene Fuld College of nursing gave me the ability to increase my nursing knowledge via an evidence based nursing curriculum. The seasoned instructors provided appropriate learning venues that aided student’s initiatives which are necessary to excel as professional nurses. As a recent graduate, November 2010, I would highly recommend HFCN to all LPNs that aspire to become RNs. If you are searching for a one year program, then this is the college for you. The institution has recently added a RN to BSN program. I was able to complete my MSN teaching internship the fall of 2013. Although it is a new program it is well developed and meets the needs of BSN prepared nurses. The uniqueness of HFCN allows the LPN to become a RN then a BSN within a singular milieu.Stephen Lawrence, MSNEd, BSN, AASN, RN, EMT-P
