I graduated from Berkeley College and had a great experience. Awesome staff and really good students. I love the fact that they placed me with a interesting internship, that gave me real world experience. I interned at a bank in the real estate division. The location is amazing! We would go to fashion week with some of the fashion students.

The best college ever! The best opportunity in your life! Berkeley College is a small college but very professional one. You can find everything you want there, an excellent stuff who works hard and is always waiting for you, a sophisticated technology, using up different sources to make you succeed, a big stuff helping out students to finds jobs and internships, They will do everything to motivate you and prepare you for your future success. Thats the way I see this college. It may be a little bit expansive but when its about our future we have to invest first. Everything in this college is great. Let me start sharing me experience with you:I come from a small country from Europe, where we have a completely different system than here that seems to be a completely stress-free. My English level was not so good, and I still find it difficulty sometimes, but it was not a obstetrical for me at all, because all the professors helped me. And I am definitely glad for all the professors that I had, for 19 of them (5 quarters until now), they are all gorgeous. They never stop telling their student to use them as much as possible. They are respectful, patient, helpful, easy to understand, and they will try everything and every method for the student to succeed, after that is up to the students. If you do what the professors tell you to do youll be fine, and thats what I and all my friends do. And we enjoy time in the class, we work in group, we discuss and bring new topics in class related with the lectures. And what is the beauty of Berkeley College is the diversity that it has. I consider myself lucky to have peers form different part of the world, because in an easy way help me to learn more about whats going around and try to understand other cultures too, thing that is very important if you live in a city as New York.I agree with a review here that in short terms tells that Berkeley College is a easy college to enter in because it accept everyone. Thats true! But thats what make this college a successful college, because it gives everyone an opportunity. Just because you didnt do well doesnt mean that your life should end there, no college any more no career, nothing. No! Thats why Berkeley College has hired good professors, where mostly of them has a PhD degree. And if that is not enough Berkeley College offers Academic Support Center tutoring to make our life easier.Another great thing that I like at Berkeley College is that the stuff and the professors will define you by your name, not by your ID number, which makes me feel very good and think that people who work here care for me. And I am never lost in the class, like in the big colleges. If I would need help I will go there and ask and these people will always always be ready to help me out.

Berkeley College was a wonderful experience for me, even though it is a very expensive school. But they made me feel like I was home, very good professors, I enjoyed all my classes, and my professors. I recently graduated with my associates degree and it was a wonderful experience. I would totally recommend this school. Wish I had the nerve to take out more loans but Ive had enough with the loans I have. Thank you Berkeley College for making me feel like I was home, and doing everything possible for me to graduate. I truly appreciate it.

I attend Berkeley and I can say this is a great college. They accommodate and take very good care of their students and they take pride in the campus by working as hard as possible to meet the students needs. The campus is ever exceptionally immaculate. There are many quiet study areas. Even though the college is expensive i find that I pay the price for quality education and many different programs that Berkeley use to facilitate students. I also see where Berkeley spend their money, maintenance. Visit Berkeleys 43rd and 41st St campus in Manhattan and you will be quite impress.

I had the worse college applying experience. This is for the Paramus NJ Campus. I was a prospective student. Unfortunately, I’m on temporary disability for now so I figured “why not go back to school to pursue my dreams?!”. Well, Berkeley admissions gave me a HORRIBLE experience. They stopped following up with me unlike other universities I applied to. No one knew what was going on in my admissions process. I gave this college money that THEY knew I didn’t have because of my disability because I wanted to attend. All of that for these fools to tell me they’re only accepting a portion of the credits I took for my associates degree. I am going to attend a prestigious university that knows what they’re doing and how to handle their prospective students. Putting effort into this college was WORTHLESS!!!Now a month later after my horrible experience the director of admissions Janine contacts me to stand up for her poor excuse of a staffs behavior. She called to say “sorry”. What kind of BS is that?! I don’t need a sorry, I need not to receive a phone call from your sorry college ever again!!

I am currently in my second quarter. I would have to say choosing this school was one of the best options I chosen. The school is very clean and the staff is always happy to help. I would recommend this school to people who have busy lifes such as mines where I am in school and work full time. Its going smoothly and I don feel stress or over pressured with homework. The teachers make learning fun and interesting. Im always shy to speak but Ive learned to over come my fear to better my education. Berkeley is a great school and I would definitely recommend it.

I am majoring in International Business at Berkeley. This is my third year at the school and Im having an amazing experience. Im an international student and I have felt home since I arrived to NYC thanks to the school. The school has exceeded my expectations. I decided to attend it because it had reduced classes, and because I was tired of being treated as a number in my previous colleges in Europe, where I could have up to 150 classmates. Now I have about 15-20 per class and all my professors know my name and are very accessible. Moreover, it is located in the heart of Manhattan. That location speaks by itself. We are surrounded by dozens of businesses and I cant think of a more international environment to be studying at.Finally, I have to say that they make a huge effort in making student life as best as possible. My learning experience has gone beyond the classroom, since Ive been able to take part in many activities with clubs, trips, and special programs.

This college is scam, please do not go here. Its risky and very, very expensive. Its not worth the financial debt they will put you through. Im a student who attended for two semesters and my family makes less than $40,000 a year and financial aid has done nothing to help me. They made me pay $350 every month for a payment plan which is equivalent to more than $1,000 per semester AND took out $5,500 in loans already. They made me take out loans, which I knew nothing about at that time and did not give me a thorough understanding or let me know about the consquences. Mind you, this is all only for a bachelors degree. Im so glad Im leaving after this winter semester before they take out even more loans and suck the money out of me, where Im left with nothing left by the end of the month. This is not a college that is morally just and affordable for any college student. They care about their financial gain more than the concept of education. I regret leaving Westchester community college which was free and provided financial aid and now Im going to save my future and go to a CUNY or SUNY school and actually get an education in an ethical way! No wonder the classes are so small with a maximum of 10-13 students and there is a civil lawsuit against them and they are being sued by New York State!

The only thing I can say about Berkeley is: Thank you for the amazing experience! From the professors to the administration, they all made me feel like home and were very helpful every time I needed it. Being an international student at the beginning could be difficult, but thanks to the international division I felt taken care of. I dont want to miss the opportunity to mention Jacob Dyer the most attentive and helpful person, literally every time I had a question regarding ANYTHING he would answer ir with a smile on his face. When it comes to academics, I would say that as everything in life you get to choose which path you want to take. If you are an excellent student, you can always get enrolled in the Honors Program and demand more from yourself. Its up to you how much learning you want to draw from this experience. The professor will be there for you 24/7 via e-mail and as well as the online library. In my case Im thankful of having had this experience, graduated last year and already landed an amazing job!

I recently graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. I will tell you this the majority of the Professors I had in the Midtown campus are truly great and come with a lot of real world experience. However, I will deduct one star because of cost and the fact that you have to be on top of administrative staff to really get your finances and classes in order. You must note that this is something you are going to experience in almost every college. I attended 3 CUNY schools prior to BC and the experience with administrative staff is always going to be relatively the same. The increasing price difference between the two would be my major concern if I was a new student.

Men lie, women lie, numbers dont; Berkeley College is one of the worst college in America. According to National Center for Education Statistics, the retention rate is 64 percent and the graduation rate is 30 percent. When people see these type of statistics, many people like to blame the students however in Berkeley College’s case, it’s not the students fault, it’s the school’s fault. One of the problems with Berkeley College is the financial aid. When you first come to Berkeley College, they promise you that you will graduate in 3 years however when you have to deal with the Financial aid it’s nearly impossible. Berkeley College operates on a Quarter System. And because Berkeley College operates on a Quarter system, the government can’t fund every quarter like Summer Quarter. This is a problem because students are force to pay large amount of money out of pocket. And if you can’t afford it, you have no choose but to drop the quarter and this will push back you graduation date. Berkeley College is so expensive and such a waste of money. If you’re coming from high school or another college, dont waste your money and your time. This school is not worth the tuition money you have to pay every year. You pay 30,000 plus (about $7,800 each Quarter) in tuition and with the new book policy, you will be forced to pay $300 out-of-pocket for books you will never use each Quarter. Word of advice, if you are looking for a college look somewhere else. If not be prepared to work at McDonald with a Bachelor or Associate degree.

Berkeley College in Midtown NY is Okay; however, I must warn you that if you enroll with them, every student and employees will know your business, you will have no privacy, and your personal information may even be passed around like its normal. If you are a new student, they will treat you like a criminal, terrorist, and will look at you as if you do not deserve to be educated. Students normally bully each other, and threaten you or at least try to blackmail you. All of these combined with racism and sarcasm to cover up their behaviors. With all this experience, I was even scared that someone would start a shooting at their facilities. Bad experience and do not recommend it.

You have to do things yourself and they will look it over. When I started at this school I was with some serious students and I was also surrounded by people who didnt care as much. As I went higher up in classes more serious students started to show and the less likely to succeed at Berkeley werent around. Its what you make of the school. Let me just say first, the professors were excellent, I really learned a lot there. I wont knock the teaching staff thats why I gave it three stars. I was completely disenchanted with everything else. When I started in the fall of 08 I was excited because I always wanted to go to college and the tuition wasnt bad because I had a few scholarship courtesy of the school. By the end of my first semester my GPA was a 3.9 I was very happy and that was with taking four classes. But as the summer of 09 came my scholarships all disappeared and they explained to me that they didnt offer them for the summer so I was paying for the summer with my student loan. I thought that when fall came back I would get all my scholarships back, not the case. I got back a few scholarships but not all so I had to drop to two classes per semester which was fine. I paid for my books and supplies with my refund money and held on to the rest just in case I needed it for something school related. It seemed like every year tuition and fees were going up a hundred dollar or more and all of the money I saved from my refunds went to paying for supplies, fees and whatever my loan didnt cover, basically I did what I was suppose to do with my refund checks. When I started Berkeley it was $2880 per semester when I left it was $6700 per semester. I was forced to leave because couldnt afford the $6700 and my student loan had run out. Financial aid was NO HELP, they kept telling me I had to looked outside of the school for money to pay for my education. But when I would ask them about the scholarships on the scholarship page they couldnt tell me anything and that there were no scholarships available for me. My GPA was a 3.2 when I left but there were no scholarships available for me? I thought that was a crock, they tell you they get so much money in scholarships but they dont give out as much as they could. You would think that they would want to keep the students with high GPAs to give the school a better outlook but no, it was all about money and not about helping the students out. I was exactly four semesters from graduation and I now have to pay out of pocket for an education I wasnt allowed to complete at Berkeley. Its completely disgusting and I dont think they should be allowed to cheat people out of their money and not allow them to complete the education they paid for, thats wrong.

If I could give zero stars I would. The financial aid department at this school is a mess. My fafsa was denied due to my fathers signiture not going through. After fixing this mistake fafsa informed me that changes were sent to Berkeley. I was told that since the semester had ended there was nothing they could do. Meaning that I would have to pay $12,000 for my one semester. I was told by financial aid that it was a federal law that they could not add the loan to my past semester. I reached out to fafsa and they informed me that this was false. Now I have been trying to get in contact with the head of financial aid and no one will get back to me. Saturday I was told only one person was in and that they were with a student. They informed me that by the time they were done the department would be closed for the day. Monday I was told someone would call me back. After half an hour I called again and was told she had left for the day. Tuesday I was told I would be called by the head of the department at 4 oclock. At 4:15 I called because I had not heard anything. Then I was informed that she had left early for the day. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to get this figured out. But I do not trust anyone in this department. I am 23 and work full time. This has been such a scary thing. I am trying to figure out this impending debt with no help from anyone.

Two stars because a Professor Berkeley needs to get rid of. Her name is Judith Sedaitis, she usually teaches Liberal Arts; English, World Cultures etc. Enough of making random professors teach subjects they obviously didnt go to school for. After thinking about my experience in her class I returned to be honest. She started off the class with statistics that said blacks and hispanics were less likely to graduate college. Mind you we were freshman and sophomores in that class, and it felt like the first thing she wanted to do was tell us that we most likely not going to make it. She didnt end her statements with but you can make a difference or something inspiring she just went on and on. She made a comment about Muslims and how they blew up everything during 9/11 then said it didnt matter because were just going to kill them I dont know who were are...but it was so inappropriate to say. It made the muslim students in the class very uncomfortable and upset. She is insensitive and doesnt deserve to teach a multicultural group of students. At the time we didnt have the professor assessments we have now that Im a Junior so I didnt get a chance to air her out to her superiors. She comes off sadistic, scheming, dishonest professor, who loses homework and grades unfairly. I am not a disgruntled student seeking revenge, I am being serious. I find her behavior and attitude repulsive, she should not be a professor at Berkeley. I regret ever having her as a professor and I hope in the future someone does record what she says and tells right away.Deep down I believe that Sedaitis might be a racist, islamophobe, biased person in her daily life because every now and then her true feelings peaks its head, shows on her face and in her lectures. Avoid taking this professor at all cost.
