The absolute best research institution in the world bar none. World class cutting edge science in a hidden oasis in Manhattan.
Great University. I will go back there soon.
Beautiful. Nice views of East River/Brooklyn
Day time guard is great.
I was a partner of a student there when it was the Rockefeller Institute in the late 1980s early 1990s. I have not visited on recent trips to the US mainly probably because I was scared to cross the road although holidayng is also tiring. However, I did enjoy my time there, and remember the very good film club. I did visit once to try to find people to explain my belief that diseases are fake and that the microscope cannot achieve high magnification, as I have done in the nearby Silver Star. I was not a scientist (Im a former A level politics teacher) but am now starting to enjoy the subject more and something I read yesterday seemed to be hinting that physics, the principles of which are the basis of explanations of microscopy, was unfalisifiable in a way that biology was not.
I have been on campus for over 30 years. It is a fabulous place to work. It is graduate students only, they pick a dozen of the best from around the world each year. RU has generated over a dozen Nobel prize winners in their history. And the campus environment is beautiful. And they have a great community culture for working.
I was considering a research fellowship at Rockefeller. This place was great to visit. So many notable faculty who are world renowned in their fields, especially in medical science. The breadth and depth of the research and the collaborative environment impressed me the most. Although I chose to pursue my fellowship at another institution, I would love to work here at some point in the future.
Ive been a patient at the university since I was 7 years old, Im now 64 in perfect condition mainly becauseof the outstanding great care! I was diagnosed with rheumatic fever and only because of there unbelievableResearch I was cured. Thank you really doesnt cover the amazing gratitude and respect I have for the whole staff, I owe my life to this university for without these wonderful doctors and technicians I would not be here today.
I went here for a class for nursing and it is a beautiful campus with a great view. The cafeteria was a typical cafeteria. the class rooms look updated. A great place to study. Security was great and I felt safe while I was there

Nice place to go to the pier and have lunch
Winning in Noble prize laureates/research personnel in the world, definitely a strong indication. Very old trees on campus make it unique. Masterplan should be reworked, feels like theres no coherency in the planning.
Rude to visitors!!! My family and I came to visit the campus to see the grounds on a Sunday. Security would not let us visit at all. My husband is a scientific professor and we visit university campuses all the time, with no problems. Tried to call the university main number to inquire about this, but it routes you back to security. No help.
As the former Director of Pharmacy at Rockefeller University this was the most fabulous place to work. For me it was like going to school every day as I always learned something new. At the time I was there in the early nineties there were 13 Nobel Prize winners in addition to some of the most brilliant minds in the world. For anyone in high school or college check out Rockefeller as it is in my opinion it is the best biomedical research institution in the world.
Gorgeous campus in the heart of the UES. If youre here, they have a couple nice cafes and restaurants with cheaper food.
Nice university and beer after four on some days ;-)
