Im so happy we found Ms. Amanda and everyone at Finnegan Academy. My 9 year old started classes 2 months ago and has already grown so much with her skills! I grew up as a competitive dancer so the art of dance has always been close to my heart. Now an adult, I’ve been missing the creative outlet quite a bit so I signed up for an adult class at Finnegan Academy and was blown away. The class was not only fun but welcoming to all levels. I’ve recently returned to Irish Step Dancing after 12 years in “retirement”. Finnegan Academy went out of their way to welcome me back to the sport. From the moment I reached out, there was great communication and I felt completely at ease returning to dance even after such a long time. Who knew my daughter would dance Irish dance? No one in our family is Irish. :) I tried many activities with her and she never cared about any of them and ended up quitting. She also danced ballet and tap but she wouldnt be excited to go there. All that changed when she tried Irish dance. She has been dancing Irish dance since September 2020 and she absolutely loves it. She looks forward to every class and we even added extra day since. She dances all day at home and everywhere we go. She loves her teacher and her new dance school. My daughter is having the time of her life!!! Everywhere we go she shows off her new steps and is so proud and confident. She says I’m Irish and I love to dance so I chose Irish dance. She just absolutely adores the owner Ms Amanda. COVID was very difficult for all of us but it hit my daughter the hardest. Isolation. No school no friends no activities. We brought them back to school and this is the first time she has shown pure JOY for anything since March. We love the flexibly to attend classes all over orlando. Depending on my busy schedule we attend several different nights in different locations. We love Finnegan Academy and we are excited to have found such a wonderful family. My daughter just said last night when grandma visits they even have adult classes!!!

My daughter started lessons at the Lake Nona location and is absolutely loving it! Her instructor Ms Amanda is great. Wonderful communication and she is so enthusiastic. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged. There are activities and competitions planned for the students to look forward to. I’m so glad to have these classes available in our area.

We love Finnegan Academy! We are so happy that Finnegan is offering classes in Baldwin Park. It is a wonderful location and super convenient for a Winter Park resident like myself. I decided to get back into Irish dance to finish out getting my TCRG when I moved to Florida and Amanda was there to welcome me to her school! She has been helping me learn for my exams, and while getting in shape for them, having fun competing again. She really knows how to push me as a dancer but also give me the positive feedback to help me from getting to hard on myself. The classes are enjoyable, and the girls are very nice. We even have quite a few senior dancers which is nice helps me prepare more for dancing against others in my age category. I have only been with the school for not even 2 months, but the school has been welcoming and I can feel myself becoming part of the family.

Having recently joined the Finnegan Academy I have been so impressed by the continuous communication from Amanda, even though I began classes during Covid 19 crisis Amanda was still able to offer virtual classes which have been extremely thorough and evidently will planned out. My daughter has been taking Irish dance lessons at the Finnegan Academy of dance for a year and we love it. Amanda is a great instructor and I have been impressed with what my daughter has picked up from her weekly classes. I was a bit skeptical when Quinn started. But I must confess, it was amazing watching my daughter fall in love with dancing. They took time with her from the start, and taught her exactly the way her learning style demanded. They pushed Quinn exactly the amount that she needed to be pushed. I have never witnessed Quinn become more dedicated with anything before. Over the past two years Irish dance has become one of the only constants in her life. Quinn loves traveling to compete at a feis. Her dance friends have become more of a family to her. When COVID-19 hit, most people had to stay at home and figure out what to do with their time. Quinn decided she wanted to dance. Amanda was quick to switch to virtual classes. The kids progression didnt miss a beat. Without dance classes I could not imagine the toll that the quarantine would have had on Quinn.

I tried the virtual adult class out tonite and it was so fun while also being a great workout! I seriously dislike working out so the fact that I enjoyed this really speaks for itself. 😂 I’ve never danced before but Ms Finnegan slowly goes over every step multiple times until you get it. She truly caters to beginners. The atmosphere (if a zoom meeting has one 😆) is light and fun with lots of smiles all around. Don’t be shy!! Actually, the way it’s set up no one can really watch you unless they’re sitting at the computer and not participating so you really don’t have to worry about embarrassing yourself 😂😂😂

What can I say about this lady, her true love and passion for Irish Dance just runs through her veins and this is so apparent from the moment that you meet her and her fabulous team. I am a twenty year veteran of Irish Dance. I placed top three at both the Mid America Oireachtas and North American Championships twice and competed at the world championships. I recently joined the Finnegan Academy after moving to Florida and the experience has been excellent. I am now a gigging musician around Ireland, the UK and Europe.
