We are truly grateful for Mr. Rolando Frietag! God answers prayer and finding Rolando was a definite answer! His passion and commitment to excellence is very inspiring. He is extremely patient and understanding with my high functioning autistic son. He commands respect with a firm yet gentle presence. He varies his teaching to fit all styles of learning. He thoroughly explains concepts that help his students grasp what he is teaching. He tells his students the why to motivate them to excellence. Our 3 children are truly blessed to have him as their private instructor and group lesson instructor.

Rolando Freitag is an experienced Suzuki teacher and trainer. My daughter enjoys playing the violin and the family is all involved on it. We attended the workshop in February and we had a blast. We are looking forward to the Summer Institute in June 10-13, 2020.

Orlando Suzuki Music School is a hidden gem (for now!) in central Florida. For anyone who is familiar with the Suzuki method & philosophy of teaching music, specifically violin, this school and its director, Rolando Freitag, is the epitome of teaching. Mr. Freitag has taught both my children (ages 12 and 5) in their violin studies with utmost professionalism, genuine kindness, and refined technique. He is consistently encouraging while having the surgical precision to listen and observe difficulties in technique that a student may have. He is quick to pause in the lesson to help the student listen, observe, and understand what was a struggle for them, but always provides an easier exercise that helps them succeed in becoming better in the difficult passages of music. I have observed tremendous growth in both of my children, most observable in my 5yr old because in the early years the improvement is significant. My 12yr old is at a level that is focused on highly refining her musical expression, while mastering very difficult technique. Mr. Freitags belief in both my kids ability to succeed makes their daily practice more fun than work because of the rewarding encouragement he consistently provides. Not the sugar-sweet sentiments which is false praise, but genuine acknowledgement of their effort and accomplishment. Weve experienced many wonderful violin teachers in our musical journey, but there is something special when my own children constantly make positive comments about Mr. Freitags high expectations and his teaching. If you are reading this post with even the slightest curiosity, I encourage you to go and meet Rolando. Even if you dont take lessons (but definitely should!), you will have met a wonderful person who happens to be a wonderful teacher. I nearly forgot to mention his violin & viola playing..... an absolute joy to hear!
