Silverlake driving school was more then helpful when it came time for my son to get his drivers license. Every step of the way from getting his learning permit to his drive times and all the way to doing his driving test, they were there to help and assist the entire way. The staff was very knowledgeable on the entire process as the manager and teacher there used to work at DPS. Most other driving schools we looked at didnt offer everything this school offered and thats what drove us to sign up for this one. Our son is rather tall and they seem to have quite a great selection of cars that accommodated him. When it comes time for our daughter we will happily choose this driving school again!

The wait before hand didnt take long at all and they were patient with me and my questions.The woman who tested with me was very charismatic and sweet but straight to the point. During the test she was very sweet and was soft voiced on directions and even made small talk to calm my nerves. All around I didnt feel nervous and the ride went smoothly! I wish I had gotten her name cause she was such a sweetheart to ride with!

I never give out bad reviews. I’m sure they have amazing staff here, however it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone or to return emails to simply book my teen to finish her driving credits. They say in the contract we only have a two month deadline after they’ve completed and graduated the bookwork/classroom credits and even gotten a permit issued from the DMV, however how can a parent book their student for the remainder classes with their driving instructors if they don’t communicate, answer their phones or even respond back to the parents via email?? My daughter is about to loose her entire summers efforts because of this school. They took the money for the course but won’t complete their side of the deal. I’ve sent numerous emails now. I’m super frustrated and wouldn’t recommend this place at all for beginner drivers looking to get their drivers licenses.

Great experience here, would definitely recommend! The staff were super friendly and walked us through everything and answered all of our questions. The facility was really nice and seemed newly updated.

This is my 2nd bad experience with this driving school. No problem With the teacher and owner but I was very rudely asked by my driving instructor if I have been vaccinated witch goes against my hippa rights. The driving instructor also included during the drive that you HAVE to stop at a stop sign when you are turning right (right on red) witch doesn’t fall into place for stop signs. you have to stop at a stop sign no matter what. This is my 2nd bad experience and cannot wait to get done with my last drives.

Absolutely Horrific!! Don’t waste your time or money. SCAM FRAUDULENT.Never could get an appointment for a skills test. Now learners permit expired and will have to take another driving course. Negative stars less than zero.

I do not recommend this place. It is very dirty and trashy. The owners were nice, but the place was not up to date.

Excellent place to go to if you want to pass your road test on the first time. The instructor elderly and friendly, she will help you pass to the best of her ability. Awareness, is everything. Work on yielding to ongoing traffic. DONT GO UNTIL ITS A 100% FREE - OR ELSE YOULL FAIL. Braking is also key dont start breaking when you feel like it brake when you see the stop light or sign. Speed up when its green. Dont be nervous. Just master the yield and braking, awareness, awareness, awareness.Constantly ask yourself WHO IS BESIDE YOU?- and check using all three mirrors If you can become so good to know always know whos around you and to TURN YOUR HEAD when doing a lane change- youll be fine. Another recommendation is a backup camera for parallel parking. However shes not too strict on it AS LONG AS YOU DONT HIT THE POLES. Indicate going and indicate coming out to receive 2 points(out of 9) . If you cant then just try and park your car. If you can master those things- youll do great.:)

Would give 0 stars if possible. Terrible owners. Establishment is absolutely filthy. Seen the owners and teachers drive. Not up to modern day standards. 15/10 would not recommend. Take a few extra minutes to drive to the next driving school a town over. Pitiful.

I had Mrs.Hannes, she was a terrific teacher , with interesting stories! And her husband was a funny man and Mrs.Burke was a really good on helping us teenagers succeed in getting our permits.

Horrible customer service. They never answer the phone or return messages! The place is dirty - not someplace you want your kiddo. I truly dont know how they stay in business. All the reviews are the same - terrible!

Great school! Took 6 hour adult class. I learned so much and did GREAT on my permit test. And took my behind the wheel road test with them the next day! Very knowledgeable since the director use to work at DPS on required documents needed and very patient and very good at communicating. Passed my permit test and Behind the wheel road test in one try. So easy to schedule a class or test with them I highly recommend this school!

I used to teach here and it was a nice place to work. The owners are really nice and good to work for. The cars they have are fairly new and they even have a F150 Ford pickup for the larger kids.Take you kids here.

Just went here to take my driving test. My instructor was very friendly and made the entire thing a million times less stressful. If you live in Pearland and you’d like to take your Road Test, this is the place to go!

Silver Lake is a good bunch. They care for their students and do everything to get them ready. We had a great experience. ☺

We have had an absolutely terrible experience with this driving school, and from talking to other parents, its a consistent theme among us! The classroom portion is fine, but when you try to schedule drive times, they are horribly inadequate. They actually require that you log onto their website at exactly 7:30p on Tuesdays and Fridays, refresh your screen constantly, and try to beat others to the few available slots. HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME AND VERY INEFFICIENT!! If you ask them for assistance, they blame you for not logging in fast enough or from a strong enough web signal. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, LIFE AND MONEY. I really wish Id known this before signing up with these guys.

Never answers the phone or returns calls. Emails are answered days later with coded conversation. Never is clear, not even on the website, of how it all works. Ridiculous.

UNSAFE UNSAFE! Almost collided with one of thier student drivers because tail lights were out on the test car! I called and informed them. Yes I was upset, i had my babies in the car. The guy who i spoke to was rude and told me they have had a problem burning out. OKAY, dont drive them out w student drivers learning the road! I guess thats okay with this school, wow. Yes I was rude back because I couldnt believe I was getting scolded for thier mistake. Totally unsafe

Teachers are great but very poor service

This is the worst driving school in Pearland. They are lucky I gave them 2 stars. After sitting through the classroom portion, my daughter tried to sign up for the driving portion. You have to sign up online and HOPE you can get into a driving class. My daughter signed up to receive text when a class was available, but when she went online to sign up, it was full. The last time was on a friday (they supposedly update available classes on tues and fri after 7:30), I told my daughter to keep checking and checking especially at 7:30. She did and finally got signed up for a 1pm class on Sun. I went in with her to make sure she had everything, the instructor looked at my daughter, and said very rudely she has glasses, closed toe shoes and a permit she then looked back at me and said two hours. I said ok and left. When I picked up my daughter she was nearly in tears and I said what happened. She told me the instuctor was rude to her and was laughing and cutting up with the other girl. She said the instructor told her that she could not take another class until she had practiced more. Um, hello...I PAID these people $400 to TEACH her how to drive! And they want me to do the teaching! This place is a ripoff with rude people.

Dont do it here, they have no idea what theyre doing. Everything is unorganized. If you want efficiency this is not the place.

Silverlake Driving School was great I was and still am a student there. Everyone there cares about the students, especially Mrs. Adreanna. Mrs. Adreanna was my teacher and I absolutely love her.

Nobody ever answers the phone when you have questions. No matter what hour it is when I call there is never a answer. My child has finished there modules and their final exam but we have questions on what’s next and there’s no possible when to get in touch. We went up to the school and the doors were locked during the office hours.
