We started coming to SwimKids a few weeks ago and have really liked it so far! My kids’ instructors (Savannah and Jack) have both been great with my kids, specially my little one who is afraid of the water. I’m excited to watch them learn to be safe in the water and will be coming back here!

Heads up: they absolutely will NOT refund any amount you pay, regardless of if it’s a scheduling issue, to a broken arm. You won’t be able to speak with a manager at all. They are a decent place to go for swim lessons, the teachers are patient and kind, and my son has enjoyed it. However, as a parent I am very unimpressed with their refund policy. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I’ve lost about $200 to this policy and there’s “nothing” they can do about it. If you can find somewhere else to go, do that instead.

I think Swim Kids is a little pricey but has a lot of potential to be great if you get a good instructor. If your child is comfortable in water already than maybe it doesn’t matter as much, but if they aren’t and your instructor doesn’t know how (or care to) adapt or make your child feel at ease then you won’t see a lot of progress in your kid’s swim abilities.The only time slot we could book at the PG Utah location was for the evening and every single lesson our teacher looks so bored. She yawns through the whole lesson and doesn’t do much to connect with my kid. She is just going through the motions and when my kid is nervous to do something, she doesn’t try to approach it any other way. The first 4 out of 8 lessons were exactly the same - very little progress. I get that it’s a very physical job, but I’m paying a lot for these 15 minute lessons, so I wish I was getting 15 minutes of her best effort. Instead she cuts lessons off a minute early every time. For such short lessons I want that last minute!We have a few lessons left, but I’d be surprised if we walked away at the end feeling like my kid actually knew how to swim.

We have had a fantastic experience with SwimKids in Pleasant Grove and I would highly recommend it to others. We have worked with about a half a dozen instructors between my two childrens regularly scheduled lessons and then makeups weve done from while we were on vacation and everyone has been great. Ky and Hailey genuinely seem to care for my 4 yr old son and he loves them. Hes excited to see them and they are excited about his growth and progress. Allison has been so patient and kind with my 2 yr old son who despite loving pools with mom and dad has not been a fan of getting in at lessons. I have watched her with other younger aged kids who are also struggling and shes just the best. Occasionally she works the front desk at the time of my older sons lesson and she always greets them both by name. Scheduling on the app has been simple and convienent and Ive had great customer service experience via text when the technology struggles. My younger son is in a fast track session and my older son is in several weekly recurring lessons as that was what worked best for our schedule when we signed up. Both options have worked great.

The fast track swim lessons here are great, but everything else about this place is a nightmare- scheduling, makeups, canceling, etc. They will charge you every opportunity they get, so beware. If you are scheduling individual lessons, it’s impossible to get with the same teacher consecutively. Which results in them taking the first 5 minutes of the (15 minute) class figuring out where exactly your child is at (they know the kids ‘level’, but they are at different stages within that level) and you don’t see much improvement. Also the makeups are ridiculous- they will only schedule a makeup class one week out, but you are required to cancel your class 2 weeks in advanced or you get charged a reschedule fee- how does that make any sense? Am I a frustrated customer, obviously. But this is my experience over the last 3 months coming here, I hope it can help someone in the future.

The girl who reached out to me helped me sign up for classes very quick and easy. I appreciate that swim kids offers multiple times and teachers to help accomodate lots of kids. However, due to moving states, I had to cancel the lessons only a couple days later. Swim kids reached out to me after i dropped and was able resolve an issue with the payment. i appreciate their flexibility to help in those extenuating circumstances.

I never leave reviews, but thought this would be important for a parent to read before registering their kids up.We had a terrible experience with swim kids and I would HIGHLY recommend you not taking your kids here.We signed up for the private lessons for our two year old during Covid because I was pregnant at the time and we were trying to limit exposure.Our two year old daughter had a hard time with the class and instructor and cried the whole time she was in the pool. This was out of character for her because she swims happily all the time in California at her grandparents pool! Literally had never cried in the water before, and now we have to force her to get in.We asked the instructor if my husband could just sit in the pool to calm her nerves. As soon as he got in she stopped crying and did what was asked of her. However; the swim instructor was not a great teacher.The front desk lady then came to the pool and was extremely rude telling us he needed to get out.They were not helpful with our circumstances and would not budge to accommodate our daughters needs. . They just said all they could do was to switch us to a mommy and me class which involved more people.I called multiple times to try and get a refund and they would not give it to us. They would not even allow me to talk to their manager. They just said Christian and Quinn (the managers)had denied my request and would not talk to me about it. I asked for the managers number to talk about solutions with them and they wouldn’t give it to me. It was “private information”.Again, go anywhere but Swim kids!

I have loved to see the progress my kids are having! We have done the private lessons and it has been wonderful. My 3 year old did not want to get in the first 2 lessons but quickly changed his mind by his 3rd lesson and said “I love swim kids.” Thanks!

I love how much the care about the kids and they advance them until theyve competed all the steps. Level 2 for younger kids lasts a while, and Im grateful they didnt just push her through because she had been there a while. I love all the instructors there. There arent a lot of places that will work with a 2 year old and they did (and still do) marvelous.

We Love Swimkids! They do an awesome job teaching the basics of swimming for all levels. Highly Recommend!

We haven’t started lessons yet, but I was SO impressed with their texting/calling system. I’m a busy mom and sometimes phone calls are hard with all the background noises, calendar checks, checking with family to see if sign up dates are good, finding payment methods and so on. I texted back and forth to get all my questions answered, for THEM to find all the open dates and time for me, addressed all my concerns, and all in a timely manor. Props to them for all the little ways they’re going the extra mile to help people out!!

I love bringing my kids here. Each of the teachers that have worked with them have been extremely patient as they adjusted. I recommend SwimKids to all of my friends.

This place is awesome! Savannah is the sweetest and most patient instructor. Our son has learned so much.

Both of my girls have been taken swimming lessons here for a year now! We LOVE Swimkids!! The pool is always heated which is a huge plus for hen they were younger. The teachers and staff here are excellent! My kids love coming here! At 1st I was hesitant about the 15min lesson but it’s a one on one 15min!! It’s really awesome!! They learn so much in that 15min!! Amazing!!

Because of some Covid issues- we have had a different instructor each time which isn’t ideal but has given us a chance to meet many of the teachers here and they are all very positive and encouraging to my son who has been very hesitant about the water!

Kai is so great with my 3 yo. She makes him feel so confident with his growth. He has progressed so quickly in the week we have been there. We will continue to bring him to Swim Kids even once he can “swim” to continue his skills.

My 5 year old and 3 year old boys have been taking lessons consistently for 3-4 months and went from being afraid of the water to working on a variety of different strokes. The instructors we’ve worked with are amazing and have had such a positive impact on my kids. The facility is clean, staff is kind, and they’ve always been willing to accommodate our schedule. A+ all around!

We love Swim kids!! They are so patient with our kids and they get them to work hard! I’ve always had a great experience with scheduling. They will do a lot over text which is super convenient for me. Some teachers are better than others with rigor, but their curriculum is solid.

We have been bringing our daughter here for a while now. They are super patient with kids and help to reach their milestones. Our daughter is starting butterfly and flip turns, which is great to see considering she started with learning to float and flip over here as well. The teachers are great to work with as well, and let you know what you can work with your child in between lessons

The team is exceptional in their customer service and were so willing to work with me to accommodate schedule changes etc. The instructors are great and I feel like my kids learned more in their 15 min lessons than some of the 30 or 45min lessons we have done elsewhere. Thank you!

The new SwimKids facility is amazing! It is open and bright, and my kids love the play area. My kids have taken lessons at the Holladay facility for years, and now we are wishing this one was closer to us.

We love the Fast Track at Swim Kids! Our kids advance quickly, and they love their time there.

My daughter gets so excited when I tell her were going to SwimKids. She absolutely loves it and loves her teacher. Allison is amazing! Im so happy we decided to sign our daughter up. Not only has she learned water safety but she is now learning different strokes. And at only 4 years old! Im proud of her progress and will continue to sign her up for lessons. We love Swimkids!

We absolutely love it here. They have helped our son grow so much with his confidence in water and swimming. Before coming here he didn’t like getting water on his face at all. Since he has started coming to swim kids he now will dunk his head under water and swim with his face in the water.

My daughter has improved so much. The one on one instruction is a game changer. Definitely would recommend!

Wyatt has hemiplegia and so swimming is a hard skill. His teacher helps him figure it out and he has learned so much in such a short time! We love Swim Kids!

Both our kids were afraid of the water before they started at Swim Kids. They both had had lesson else where but now they can get in the water with no problem and swim with non to very little help from us. Swim Kids did that.

Had two boys ages 4 & 7 in lessons for 6 months and neither one progressed. The lead teachers seem good but they aren’t training all teachers well enough. My kids are not any more confident in the water after 1 month with Swim Kids, the last 5 months have been a waste. Lots of teacher turnover too. We are canceling and going elsewhere.Teachers need to communicate better not just say that your kid is doing good each time but nothing happens.Be sure to get a lead teacher otherwise you are getting less than half the value if you do come here.

I was amazed of how quick my kids got comfortable in the water with them. My 3 years old and my 7 years old progress so much in just a few weeks!. The teachers are great, kind but determined to make them progress and reach their goals!

The building itself is great. However since starting in October my daughter has had 5 different instructors. (Not because we requested a new one or had to make up a day but because swim kids changed them. Changing instructors is hard on my daughter. I feel this has slowed down her progress quite a bit her current instructor is being changed once again and her current was by far our favorite. Dont know if we will stay if instructors keep changing this much.

I have been so pleased with the progress my daughter made here . She learned to swim in three weeks , now she wants to compete. We take one private lesson a week , and she has a instructor that focuses on training for competitions. If that’s not your goal they have plenty of other instructors with different personalities and strengths , so you really can find the perfect fit for your kid . As long as my daughter loves swimming we will stay here .

I think you Should invest in taking your kids to a different place. I wish I had read the reviews because it’s true!! My son was at this place for 3 months and he barely learned anything after the first. I’m sure he could’ve but he literally had a different teacher every time after the first month because the one he had been assigned was never there. She was always gone. And so every lesson was teaching him the same thing and they’re all like “he’s doing great” but he isn’t progressing. He mastered floating because that’s what he did every day. You need consistency, and this facility has none. Finally I talked to the front desk person and changed instructors and turns out that the original instructor was leaving.. anyway. They don’t do refunds, they only give you account credit to change lesson times, and you have to be there for 2 months before canceling. I’m trying to find a new place so if anyone reading this has suggestions, let me know 🤗

LOVE SwimKids! My kids’ confidence in the water soared in just a few short weeks with them! They are now swimming like fish and jumping off the diving board with no fear. I cannot recommend SwimKids enough!

My toddler had never taken swim lessons before and I was worried she would not like swimming around with a Stranger very much. The first lesson she cried the whole time, and the second lesson she cried half of the time, but now she looks forward to her swim lessons and loves her teachers there. They are so helpful and patient with her. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs to get their kids out of the house and into the water!!

My daughter had thoroughly enjoyed her experience with swim kids. I am very happy with how quickly she has improved in her swimming skills. The instructors are very patient and kind. The facility is clean and very warm which is great in the Winter time!

Great lessons and a good facility! The price is pretty high. I understand why, but if the kids grandma wasnt gifting them the lessons, I could never pay for these.

My 5yr old loves it and used to be terrified of swimming or going under water. Her teacher Mr. Garrett has done so well with her. We love swim kids and would recommend anyone going here. Its the best.

We have had a great experience! My daughter was nervous to put her face in the water at first but they helped her through her fear. In only a couple months she is confident and swimming the length of the pool.

My three-year-old loved taking lessons at SwimKids. The teachers were patient and fun. She was floating by herself by the second lesson.

I was mostly satisfied with the experience at this PG location. Staff was friendly and facilities clean. I like that they text back within the same day and the lessons are great. My 3yo son showed real improvement, even though it was really rough in the beginning... Kylee varied her lessons and really catered to what my son was comfortable with. I love that they encourage parents to watch, give tips to help lessons go easier, and they even let us video the kids. Though my son screamed the first lesson, I could watch from the main room and saw that she never yelled or scared him. She just carried him around the pool talking to him and singing to him until he finally calmed down.The reason Im not entirely comfortable giving 5 stars is for the following reasons... The first few days we were there, my son was traumatized by the power tools being used to make the showers and other things. Our tour of the facility consisted of a lot of, soon well have this game here etc. It was like that for the first week, and I felt like the place shouldnt have been open. It just felt a bit unprofessional, especially with little kids needing to feel safe in an already new and scary situation. I would also recommend that the window to watch the lessons be a 2 way mirror. My sons first lesson was very upsetting for him and I could only spy on him from the window, and he freaked out every time he saw me. Theyre shower areas are also about a million degrees, and the are no towel racks or hooks. Just little things that Im sure theyll get sorted out, then Im sure theyll get 5 stars from many clients.Overall it was a good experience. Hopefully we can make it back again before summer time to review skills and get my boy ready for more pool time!

My daughter never got anywhere with group swimming lessons but she learned so much from SwimKids. I love how organized they are and how patient they were with her. At first, it seems like a lot of money but by the end you know it is worth it.

My younger children learned at such a fast rate that I had older children request to do swim kids to increase their skills. Sooo impressed with how quickly and adeptly my children learned. Years of rec lessons dont compare to what my children learned in one session at Swim kids. It was like the mystery of swimming was unfolded to them and they got it. Definitely worth the expense.

If you want a CLEAN pool with dedicated owners, teachers and staff, this is the place to take your little one to learn WATER SAFETY and to swim. I had some serious trauma after an extremely poor experience at another pool and the owner of SWIMKIDS asked me how my baby’s health was multiple times when the other pool owner never once checked in on her. They care, they have rules set in place and they want you to have a good experience! Love love love Swimkids!!!
