My family has been coming here for years now and this place is as good as it gets! Not only its an INDOOR, HEATED pool, but the instructors are LEGIT and they make sure your child gets the best lessons (group or private) that they can get in this county!Sheila, the owner, is super friendly and personable. She is not only an instructor herself and jumps in the pool herself when needed, but she also makes sure that your children are in the correct swim level before they start their lessons.Sheila is not only personable, but she replies to your email within a day, and communicates effectively and consistently. She sends out the weekly schedule the weekend before so you know the swim schedule and with which instructor. We have had Abi (a swim instructor) for years and shes super good with our younger ones. She is encouraging and my children really enjoy being taught by her. We have had Nicole and AnneMarie as instructors (for level 4/5) and they are also efficient!

This place is awesome. If youre lucky enough to see the signups for the year open, and you sign up right away, you could get in. They help even little kids build confidence by giving them flippers to start learning. It is genius. This gives kids such an easier time of learning to swim so they dont get overwhelmed and they have more fun. Whats more, they have kids safety at the forefront, so their height matters (pay attention to height requirements for non-private classes). Even after all that, they rearranged with two other parents to make it work for our son to create some private lessons in place of the group. Really organized and great instructors.

My kids take lessons here. We drive in from Eagle Mountain almost 45 minutes to come here. The instructors are great at working with my special needs kids. There are quite a different instruction options, and ALL of the staff are caring, kind, and work with the ‘special’ kids like mine really well. We have noticed a progressive difference in my son and his swimming abilities - and my other kids. Places like this matter. It’s so nice to come and experience learning on this level. Even as an adult watching I learn. That’s when you know it’s good. Thank you so much for the compassionate swimming instruction services you offer!

I don’t leave reviews often but I feel like it’s important for me to share my experience. I was looking for a place to take my shy 3 year old daughter to help with her fear of water. Baths were becoming horrendous, she was terrified to get the water on her face. She refused to lay down and hated showers. I thought she would grow out of it but didn’t, so my husband and I decided to try to find somewhere with one on one lessons to help her. I came across “The Swimmin’ Hole’s” website where it describes that they can help children who are scared of water. (Level one swimmers) I was excited to send correspondence, explaining that my daughter is very shy, scared of water, and that we were looking for one on one attention. Sheila was great and quick with correspondence, assuring us that they would see where she could fit in after their week assessment. (15 minutes a day for four days) We set up a time for my daughter to start. We worked hard at home to prepare her for lessons, blowing bubbles in the water, helping her play with goggles, etc. We also made sure that she knew it was going to be fun and got our family in to hyping her up. We arrived at the facility and my daughter was fairly excited. After waiting a while past our lesson time, Sheila informed us that there was a miscommunication and the teacher was not going to be there for the full lesson so Sheila would help with the assessment herself. The teacher had Clara for about 2 minutes where they went over to a bin and picked out some toys. Sheila then took over. My daughter cried the whole time, she wanted me. She didn’t kick or scream, she wasn’t uncontrollable, she was just crying, saying that she wanted her mommy. I asked if I should leave, they said no. The woman next to me leaned over and told me not to worry and that this was normal, her kids did it too. After about 10 minutes of trying to get her to stand on her own and telling my daughter to “save the dolls from drowning,” Sheila came to me and told me they couldn’t help my daughter, that they wanted “Type A” personalities who could be away from mom, listen, and take direction. I was shocked. They didn’t give my daughter an introduction to themselves or the water. They didn’t talk to her or try to make her comfortable or move at her pace. She was in a new place, without her mom, being held by strangers in water, which she was afraid of. I don’t blame her for not being comfortable within ten minutes, she’s three. She has never had to learn anything without mom and dad so I knew it would take time and because they specified that they work with children who are fearful of water, I thought it would be a good fit. I was anticipating they would want to try the whole week and see if she got more comfortable to the new environment. I was hurt for my sweet but shy child, I left crying. Sheila did advise that a mommy and me class would be beneficial but they were not offering them at the time. The facility and the correspondence was great, which is why I didn’t give it a zero star review. But if you’re looking for a place to work with a child who is fearful of water, you may want to look elsewhere. Or at least be prepared for them to say they can’t work with your child.
