Very good flight school here! The building is a bit dated, but the people here are very knowledgeable. My flight instructor, Alex I believe, is a super good teacher and a great pilot. There is a little sitting area and the people at the front desk near the sitting area are very helpful both in person and over the phone. The free ground school is also super helpful!

I wasted six months of my life just trying to start my training. The people at their office had very poor communication. I called many times to try figure out my paper work; sometimes they called me back and sometimes they forgot to call me. Anyway, I don’t want to keep talking about my frustration with this school but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. However I also have to point out the good experience I had with the ground school. They have a great and knowledgeable instructor - Buddy who was very easy to learn from.

I earnedy private pilot certificate here. Excellent instruction, really good variety of fleet even if on the older side with really good rental prices. I still rent from them to this day. I would go here for training any day.

Great instructors, good fleet (though smaller), The fleet is aging but dont let that deter you from renting or getting your license here as that is part of what keeps the costs down and the maintenance team does a great job keeping everything in airworthy condition. While you wont find the fancy glass cockpits and autopilots in Alpha-Ones planes, you will find affordable rentals and basic instrument platforms on them, most planes have a GPS (except the 152 but its a 152!).Dispatch and the office staff are great to work with, and if you ever have any questions the maintenance team is there to answer them for you!

Very reasonable rates. Great instructors. No fuel charge. I called ten other places. I quickly determined that if I were to fly with anyone else, Id go broke before I got any type of certification.

Brought my LSA in for an annual. The plane had less than 100 hours TTI was given a $3500 bill. For an annual. The previous annual was $750. My cover was mishandled and stained with greasy handprints and had to be replaced. There were nicks on front of wing. There are more reasonable mechanics in Mass.

AlphaOne Flight Services at Plymouth Municipal Airport is a top-notch operation! I took my flight lessons at the school and I feel incredibly well prepared. I am now a private pilot - one year out. My flight instructor, Jon Greenlaw, was extremely thorough. If the Ivy League colleges had a flight school, he would definitely be one of their professors! All the instructors are great! AlphaOne even offers a very informative ground school at various times throughout the year - anyone can sign up and it’s totally FREE! The entire staff has been tremendously helpful and friendly. The chief AP mechanic, Mitch Buckley, has gone out of his way to help me on multiple occasions. In fact, he located, inspected, and helped me purchase my first aircraft. I have total confidence in the yearly inspections. The maintenance costs have also been very reasonable - less than the boat I used to own! I keep my airplane in one of the AlphaOne hangars and if I ever have a question about flying or maintenance, someone is always willing to give me sound advice. The principal, Chris Hyldburg, is very approachable and obviously committed to running an exceptional program. AlphaOne is also a testing location with FAA examiners regularly floating around the premises. They always speak highly about the flight school because they see firsthand the caliber of the students who complete the program. I can’t say enough about these people! If you’re rthinking about a flight school, whether it’s your private, commercial, instrument rating, or instructors license, this is the place!
