Gary will help you complete your certificates and ratings in minimum hours.Before visiting Cleveland Helicopter Services, I had spent over a year at a Part 141 flight school in Colorado. At the large flight school I was frequently frustrated by scheduling issues, weather decisions, and lack of progress. I had told the large flight school I was available any time of any day, and still often flew only once per week. There was one period of 30 days where I didnt fly once.So I decided to take a chance and fly to Indiana to train with Cleveland Helicopter Services. That week I flew two to three times per day and made more progress toward my commercial rating than I had in an entire month at the previous flight school. *I extended my stay and from 4/27/2020 - 06/09/2020 completed Commercial Helicopter, CFI Helicopter, Instrument Helicopter, CFII Helicopter, R22 Instructor Endorsement, and R44 Instructor Endorsement.* This would have taken years at other flight schools, but at Cleveland Helicopter Services it took less than two months.After completing these ratings, Gary then helped me set my feet and find work in the industry. This included transitioning to teach in Enstroms, Rotorways, and more. I was even given the opportunity to stay in Plymouth and partner with Cleveland Helicopter Services. Ive been trying to finish up my helicopter private for several years.Gary and I managed to pull off a transition to Enstroms from my Robinson background and get through a checkride on Friday morning.

Gary is the ultimate Professional, I was happily surprised when he was able to come to our Airport and gives myself and a friend our biannual flight reviews. His skills are obvious as the flight progressed and We did some maneuvers I had not done previously which help to open my skills as well.

I am a resident of Richland Washington a long way from Plymouth Indiana. I searched high and low for an instructor to teach me how to fly my hiller UH-12C. Although I found a couple of others they did not return calls or emails. when I found Cleveland helicopter services Gary returned my call almost immediately I explained my situation he agreed to travel take a week out of his time came to Richland and taught me to fly my hiller. Gary’s very calm demeanor allows a student to learn at his/her own pace in a comfortable setting. I contacted Gary a few months ago and explained to him where I was with my training.I had high hours in the Robinson R44 but not much ground school. Gary told me that he could definitely help me. I decided that going to train with Gary even though I had a 10 hour drive from Upstate New York was the right decision. I met with Gary on Sunday night. We started immediately. In a few short days he had transitioned me from the Robinson R44 to the Enstrom helicopter. I recently purchased an Enstrom to pursue an add on rating and have had a difficult time finding a qualified CFI willing to travel to my location. When I moved to the area just short of taking a checkride for my privates Gary made himslf available to help find an examiner and fly across to Ohio with me for the test. He took a lot of pressure off me so U could focus.

Gary took me from first hour RW to checkride in about two months of 2-3 days every other week or so. I was 100% confident in my readyness and breezed through the checkride.Gary is extremely knowlegeable and the best pilot Ive ever flown with in 250 hours TT, I was completely confident he could handle any situation which made it a lot easier for me to relax and learn. He is a very patient teacher as well, I never felt any pressure or annoyance no matter how bad I did at first or what I continually kept doing wrong.It was also a lot of fun to stay with him, hangout after hours and just relax or chat about flying. He cooks some damn good meals to boot!
