My five-year-old daughter has been going to music here since she was two. Ms. Chris is a great teacher who knows how to capture children’s imaginations and get them excited about music in developmentally appropriate ways. What they learn in Kindermusik helps to provide a solid foundation for learning to play an instrument later on. They learn about musical notes, how to keep a beat, and to distinguish the sounds of many kinds of musical instruments, among many other important foundational music skills and vocabulary. The best part is that Ms. Chris makes it fun, so the kids feel they are playing rather than learning. The classes take place in the warm, homey atmosphere of her living room and her love of both music and kids always shines through. My own very timid daughter trusts and adores her.I could probably find music classes closer to my home in Sparks, but we love Ms. Chris so much that the drive over to Reno is worth it. Hopefully my daughter will start piano lessons with her I’m the next year or two. I highly recommend The Budding Musician.

We love Miss Chris and the family-learning atmosphere. My two boys have attended several different levels of the Budding Musician, including current piano for my oldest. Miss Chris is so kind and warm, talented and knowledgeable. We love her like family! Would highly recommend to anyone with children.

My two boys have been attending The Budding Musician music classes since they were both just a few months old. They absolutely LOVE Miss Chris and the enthusiasm she brings to each class. Miss Chris also has some child development background and I see it being used in class. They learn to take turns, patience, listening skills, transitioning seamlessly from one activity to the next,and much more. I also love how each semester seems to build on one another with music proficiency. We will keep our boys in her music class, and hopefully onto her piano classes for the years to come!

I have a typical two year, full of energy with a zest for life. Miss Chris is great at engaging with all the kids wherever they are at. I feel that he is really benefitting from these classes and looks forward to them each week. It has been money well spent.

Some people thought I was crazy for signing my 4 month old up for music classes. However, it has been totally worth it! Miss Chris is wonderful with children and is accommodating to each child’s level. From day one I could see the lights coming on in her head. Miss Chris has a beautiful singing voice that really engages the children. The kids learn valuable skills like taking turns, rhythm, and overall transitions from one activity to another. My daughter is now 6 months old and is displaying behaviors of a 9 month old. Music with Miss Chris has definitely contributed to this. I can’t wait for next semester and for many years to come.

Our daughters have both LOVED music class from day 1! Miss Chris finds a way to get every child involved. My 3yo now lives her life in a musical, singing her way through her day putting new words to songs she learned in class. My 16month old claps and taps her drum on beat. They both look forward to class each week!

My girls absolutely love Miss Chris. She is wonderful and very passionate about teaching. Not only are my children learning rhythm and tone but they are also gaining the self-esteem and confidence to succeed in life. I highly recommend her music classes!
