I love the instructors, the atmosphere is great too. I was always shy about dancing, still am but the FADS Instructors are so much fun that they make dancing so much fun. I take classes with my Husband Val, he is a great dancer so this is a plus. I have always wanted to learn the Hustle but was always shy and now.... I am actually dancing the Hustle thanks to my beautiful Husband and our awesome Fads instructors.

I went to Fred Astaire with my husband for wedding lessons and I couldnt have had a better experience! I was worried initially because I didnt want our dance to look too choreographed. Fortunately they were great listeners and adapted the dance to what we felt most comfortable with throughout the entire process. Ultimately our dance was fun, casual, and intimate. Our family and friends loved it and were cheering the whole time. More than that, practicing our dance became one of our favorite memories that we wouldnt exchange for anything. All the dance instructors are so nice and kind. They treat everyone like family. This dance studio feels like my home away from home. If you enjoy learning different types of dances and having fun I highly recommend coming here to dance. My dance instructor Kyrylo makes learning a new dance fun and exciting. I specifically said that private lessons were out of budget and I was looking to do some group classes/parties for a while, but these folks made me drive out twice before telling me that wasnt an option. Well first, they told me this was definitely a place I could work within a budget. (Then, they told me I couldnt do groups and parties and the amount I had budgeted per month was insufficient for anything they could work with me on.) Huge waste of time.

I cannot recommend Fred Astaire Dance Studio enough. We went to them and worked with Alina for our first dance for our upcoming wedding. Alina was professional, fun, understanding, and complementary. Dancing was new to both of us, but she made us feel comfortable. With COVID restrictions, she made us feel safe and the studio follows the governors statute to the letter. Wedding planning can be stressful and difficult, but working with Alina was a highlight that we looked forward to! Could not recommend more!

Kyrylo and Veronika are very attentive and nice. The studio is beautiful and spacious. The lesson went by and it was so much fun! We are so happy this beautiful talented couple can teach us here in Richmond.

I’ll post the same review I put on yelp:My fiancée found this group during the wedding expo at the Richmond convention center and she won 2 free introductory lessons. After the first lesson, we knew that we HAD to take dance lessons for our wedding with them. We opted for the 7 lessons wedding bundle which was around 700 dollars. It was worth every penny. We were set up with Alina as our personal instructor. We gave her our wedding song and she put together an entire dance for us. Me and my soon to be wife, sidney, had so much fun with Alina learning all the steps one by one. We laughed and joked so much. It was so much fun. Because of the extra precautions from covid, we had to wear masks and were not allowed to touch any instructors, so whenever we were confused about a spin or a dip, she had her husband Igor (who is also an instructor) come and demo them for us. We are getting married on Friday and Im so excited to show everyone the special dance that Alina put together for us. On top of that, EVERYONE at the dance studio is extremely nice and welcoming. Whenever you walk in the door, youre greeted with a smile and a hello! by every single instructor, and when you leave, everyone says goodbye!!! Have a great week!!..... they really know how to make you feel special, even when youre awkward like me and have never danced a day in your life. needless to say, we plan to return regularly for dance lessons after the wedding. 100% would recommend.

Kyrylo and Veronika have been great! My boyfriend and I have absolutely no dance background and they have been the most patient teachers. They make it fun and easy to learn and we look forward to class each week.

When you enter the studio everyone greets you, including fellow students. At our first group class we danced with couples, singles, and people we did not know, yet everyone is welcoming whether you have a dance partner or not. This is a great way to forget about everything outside the studio and just focus on fun footwork with fabulous people!

My Fiance and I have been taking lessons from Kyrylo Kapustinskyi to prepare for our wedding dance, and he has been fantastic. Kyrylo is a very patient and positive person, and we have enjoyed learning from him. We took the beginner package to get some foundational skills, and now we are working on our social foundation package with special focus on our wedding dance. Ill start with, we love our dance instructors! My husband and I started this program by winning some dance lessons at the Southern Womans show. When the time came to actually go in and dance, we had too many doubts and fears to go through with it. My husband is extremely shy at first and didnt want to embarrass himself and neither did I! I had several online lessons with Kiril! Each lesson was wonderful! Kiril was professional fun and I learned so much from this gifted dance instructor! I enjoyed each lesson from beginning to the end! He really contributed to making me a better dancer!!!!I live in Brewster New Yorkand found this studio on line during the quarantine in March of 2020. During this time I just wanted to dance as my Brewster Fred Astaire studio was closed . I needed a place to dance..... Kiril was so fabulous and taught me new steps and reinforced the steps I already knew. His witty and professional way he approaches dance made me so happy! I would have loved to have done in person lessons but Covid changed that! However, when I can travel I plan to take a trip to Fred Astaire Richmond and thank this beautiful instructor face to face! For sure he gets a 10 out of 10!!!!

I️ received dance lessons for Mother’s Day 2020. Despite COVID-19 we were able to use the lessons remotely! My husband and I️ were fortunate to have Kyrylo Kapustinskyi as our instructor. He created a plan for us and taught us the steps over video chat. We are beginners but Kyrylo is an excellent instructor and taught us how do everything with easy to understand explanations. He has such a good energy, very positive, encouraging and FUN! We can’t wait to get in the studio when COVID calms down. If I️ wasn’t high risk, I️ would go now because as Kyrylo was teaching us, I️ could see another lesson in the background and I️ could see them wearing masks. You won’t regret taking lessons with Kyrylo.

Veronika and Kirill are my husband and my dance instructors at Fred Astaire. They are the BEST! Super kind, encouraging, and wonderful people as well as amazing dancers. They do an excellent job of explaining and showing you how to dance each step even when English is not their first language. I highly recommend you give dancing here a try. I had never danced before now, and I have really come to enjoy dancing with these great people. The whole staff here is excellent and we are very lucky to have all of them! You really cant go wrong here!!

One day, my fiance mentioned to me that she’d like to get dance lessons for the wedding. I was on the fence and didn’t really know what to expect. So we went to Fred Astaire Dance Studio and I gave it a shot. That day I met Yehor, an absolute joy of an instructor. He listened to the first dance song we had chosen and we got to work. The energy of everyone in this studio is contagious, you really cannot help but dance. Yehor worked with us through many lessons to tweak and hone a wedding routine that was guaranteed to get a standing ovation. That fateful time came during our wedding, we nervously sauntered out onto the dance floor and gave it our all. Absolutely no one in the crowd expected what came. A beautiful waltz between newlyweds. My wife and I have been active members of Fred Astaire RVA since Feb. 2019. We started from a free dance certificate we received from the home and garden show. Honestly, we didnt know what to expect. Neither of us had danced before. But, after meeting the amazing instructors and fellow students we were hooked. Weve been coming now three times a week for 5 months. The atmosphere is amazingly supportive. Although there are dancers of different levels, backgrounds and skill sets, everyone will feel at home. We were paired with Veronika and Kyrylo as our instructors and they have become not just our teachers but friends. We truly enjoy coming to dance not only to have fun, but to see them! Yet, through our group classes we have worked with Alina & Sasha as well as Alina and Yehor, who are all fantastic in their own right. For my wife and I this was a place we could have fun together, learn a new skill, and meet new people. I truly recommend it to anyone out there. It may be a bit out of your comfort zone, but I think youll have fun and meet some good people.

The studio owners are so genuine and heartfelt in their work towards building a studio with a strong foundation that will continue on for years to come.
