Awesome place. Very friendly staff. professional. Covid safe.Very accommodating to adults and children also. If youre not into jui-jutsu they have Muay Thai judo and a couple things that Im not remembering.

Initially this place was amazing. I had been searching for a martial arts school for almost a year once my daughter turned 5. They were very welcoming and my daughter loves it. Why I didnt give five stars? is because it seems like who ever knows the owner/Master acts as if they run the place. They talk loud, stand in front of the chairs where parents sit to watch their children. So it makes it tough to be proud and watch your child. No one says anything to them so they continue to be obnoxious and standing there talking loudly. They sometimes have adult conversations out loud which is very unprofessional when you are trying to enjoy watching your child. Great school they actually teach your kids BJJ and not just have them sitting in the corner. If they police the people who know the owner this place would be a perfect five stars.Update*** Owner is a man of his word. All issues were quickly rectified. Unfortunately we moved far from this school so we had to transfer our daughter. She was very sad. I have changed my rating to 5 stars.

Always friendly, always helpful and everyone makes you feel welcome. You can be a returning member or a brand new person, and it is always welcome. The martial arts programs, both jiu jitsu and karate, are amazing! The teachers are helpful and accommodating!

Great instruction and community. If you are looking for a BJJ school in the midlothian area, you won’t find a more dedicated and supportive team. Whether you have previous experience or are just starting out, JB and the Mongrel crew will make you feel welcome. The instruction is top notch, and all of the upper belts are great to work with and clearly care about their team mates.
