My son attends tae kwon-do class there and he loves it. Master Sky and his staff are not only exceptionally well trained, but they are also focused on their students and making sure they excel and do well. Tonight however, Unity really set themselves apart. We hosted my sons 9th birthday there and over 30 kids attended. Master Sky was hands down the most awesome party host. The kids LOVED it and the party went well over the allotted time as none of the kids wanted to leave. This is such an amazing place and they really do well on teaching and providing a wonderful atmosphere. They are simply the best.

We started going to Unity when my son was 5 years old. I was amazed at how patient all of the instructors are, especially with the young ones. If someone tells you that 5 years old is too young to start Taekwondo, dont listen! My very active, restless boy was effectively taught all of the moves. I couldnt believe it when I saw him break his first board. Taekwondo helped him learn not just the sport, but how to follow a series of instructions and to control every movement of his body. He also learned discipline - the teachers are firm but not harsh, which is exactly what we needed. At the end of every lesson, Master Sky will talk with the kids about respect, honesty, etc. and reaffirms with the kids that they should listen to and obey their parents (love this SO much!)My son completely fell in love with Taekwondo, and I think a lot of it had to do with how much the instructors care about each kid that comes through and the relationships they build. This is a family-owned business and it feels welcoming as soon as you walk through the door.We also love the tournaments and activities they have throughout the summer. My son loves the throwing stars and weapons sparring. They also have lock-ins and parties all year, which are a blast!I would definitely recommend you try them out. We started with a free intro lesson and were hooked. :)

I used to be an instructor here, and I will ALWAYS be a student under Master Wood and Master Hackett. I have since moved away for college, but I have taken with me the knowledge I have obtained training here. What will stick with me the most is the self-confidence, indomitable spirit, and the experience training with all the kiddos. There is not another heart on this earth that is as patient and loving as Sky Wood. Watching Sky work with these kids has left an everlasting impact on me, and I know that every one of his students will remember his incredible personality forever. If its your kids that are looking for an extra curricular activity, if you just want an excuse to work out, or if you just need something new to recreate yourself, this place will change you in the best way possible. I couldnt be more thankful for this place, and I cant wait to get back and train with all of the instructors and kids!

I first met Master Sky Wood 10 years ago when I was like 6 years old. I did TKD on and off for many periods since then, but each and every time it was always a friendly, encouraging learning experience and a first class martial arts school for people of all ages. The guys are great and the instructors from the top down are great awesome people !

Sky is a great guy with an amazing crew. I train on the BJJ side, but Im always astounded to see his and the rest of the coachs ability to wrangle dozens of children into paying attention and more important learning. I think if there was a market for it they could probably herd cats pretty successfully.More importantly, when you see any of the coaches interact with people, not just the children, you can tell they care and want the best for everyone: kids, parents, adults that train. I have always felt welcomed here. Without fail when I walk in every coach either yells across the room or they walk over and greet me whether I was there the day before or have been MIA for a couple weeks. Definitely a close-knit family.Additionally, they always put on events for the kids ranging from tournaments, to kids lock-ins, to light-saber training, and if you play your cards right you might be in a kick-ass promotional video!Great school. Great people. If you are looking for a TKD school this is THE place to go.

READ THE WAVER BEFORE SIGNING!!!!!I dont know who wrote these guys legal waver, IDK if they looked at it them selfs or if they would ever enforce it as written but it is NOT GOOD.MEMBER FURTHER AGREES to pay all costs and counsel fees incurred by the Unity Martial Arts/markle Gold Team BJJ in enforcing this agreement, which rights shall be cumulative. So like if your kid let say got injured and you had NO intention to sue, gave no Indication that you wanted to sue, even said dont worry about it, it was an accident. They could go run up a bill putting a thousand an hour lawyer on retainer, asking questions about what if you did sue, and then send you the bill cause thats part of enforcing the agreement. That is ridiculous. I would not go here, unless they changed that. Sucks too cause it seems like a cool place and the instructor I talked to seemed really cool as well. If they understand what it says, thats down right wrong to even try to get someone to sign something like that. DO NOT SIGN THAT WAVER!!!!!!!!

If you are a parent and looking for a positive influence on your children, Unity TKD is the place you want them to be.More than self-defense & receiving belts, what unity tkd teaches are virtues. Patience and discipline were positively reinforced and each student was catered to individually, yet together in unity. With these virtues engrained in me as a child, I have been able to persevere through lifes many trials & am so thankful to have spent the time that I did there.

We have been at Unity since the beginning of 2012 when our son began training Tae Kwon Do. Fast forward a few years, they start a Brazilian jiu jitsu program & now the entire family trains together. The people here have become our extended family. Sky & instructors live & breathe martial arts. They offer various types of martial arts classes throughout the week at convenient times. They accepted my family with open arms & I see that they do that for everyone. Unity provides a family-oriented environment with God as the center.

Our kids took Tae Kwon Do at Unity Tae Kwon Do for six years. Our son was 6 years old when he started, and our daughter was 9. Unity was the best place we could have sent our kids to learn martial arts. Sky is really able to connect with kids, and make learning Tae Kwon Do (TKD) fun and exciting for kids. Over a six year period, our kids went from knowing nothing about martial arts to earning their 2nd degree black belts. The instructors at Unity are 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th degree black belts. Sky Wood and the other instructors, Masters Hackett, Koscinski, and Wade, at Unity had the ability to build a great rapport with our kids, and all the kids that go to Unity. Our kids, no matter what kind of day they were having, always left class feeling glad that they had gone. Unity was not just focused on kids, it also had many adults attend classes over this same time period, and we saw many of them advance to black belt levels while our kids were there.Sky and the other instructors also reinforced a lot of the life lessons and values that we worked to instill in our kids. They were able to hear from someone else they respected, that to succeed they needed to work hard, be disciplined, focused and have goals, and to be nice, thoughtful and courteous to others. As they advanced in belt levels, our kids would also volunteer occasionally at Unity and help teach some of the newer, young kids basic patterns. The things they learned at Unity have helped them immensely in school (focus and hard work to make good grades) and helped them to make lots of friends. My son realized if he wanted to make good grades, he had to put in the time studying. Our daughter just knows it’s what she has to do to be successful. Unity helped reinforce those concepts. If someone in class at Unity didn’t master what they needed to know for the next advancement test, they would not advance. Some tough life lessons were learned. Our kids realized that to advance in TKD (and life), and achieve their next goal, next stripe or belt, they had to put in lots of time, effort, and hard practice, learning to do very difficult things. There are no participation trophies in Tae Kwon Do, what you achieve is totally up to you.Besides the mental aspect, Tae Kwon Do at Unity also honed their physical skills, with significant improvements in agility, coordination, speed, and strength. The jumps and kicks our son mastered in TKD prepared him to succeed in the other sports. He plays football, basketball, and runs track. TKD was able to make him stronger, faster, more coordinated and agile. In 6th grade, he ran track on the 8th grade 4x100 relay, and also ran hurdles. Our daughter plays soccer at the most competitive club and high school levels now, and is strong, fast, and fluid on the field. She is very focused and never gets rattled. Our kids are able to apply what they learned in TKD to these other sports, and aren’t intimidated by bigger and stronger kids, or trash talk. Once they sparred regularly in class and at a few tournaments, they were never really scared of contact, or intimidated by anyone physically. They sometimes will laugh when telling us about some of the stuff their opponents try on the field. Sky and the instructors at Unity were able to help us instill basic values for life and success, and our kids, and most of the kids we knew that went to Unity, developed a high level of self-confidence and a belief that they could do almost anything they decided to do. We are very thankful for all the challenges, self-discipline, mental and physical development our kids had the opportunity to experience at Unity Tae Kwon Do.

We have been with Unity Tae Kwon Do since our oldest was 6 or 7 years old. Now, he is 15. We now have a 1st and 2ND degree black belts through Unity. Our 3rd boy is very close to his black belt as well. We have 4 boys, and all 4 boys love Sky and his team. They are great with kids, and they made learning fun with great structure. Because of Sky and his team great quality instructions, we are continuing with this school year after year. I highly recommend Unity Tae Kwon to everyone who want to tryout martial art. Thank you to Sky and his team for all they did and continue doing for our boys:).Unity Tae Kwon Do would be a perfect school with a little better front desk customers service!

We have been part of the Unity Tae Kwon Do (UTKD) family for at least 10 years now. Both my son and daughter have trained – my son has earned his 2nd degree black belt, and my daughter will hopefully earn her black belt by the end of this year. She has also learned avoidance tactics with bullies, and I have learned self-defense. Sabumnim Wood’s expert, gifted instruction, along with that of his team, not only trains on the skills of this graceful and powerful sport, but also imparts respect, discipline, and confidence in students, young and old. There’s no shortage on fun, either. Ninja Warrior camps, water gun parties, lock-ins, and pizza parties are frequent throughout the year. Whether you are seeking private lessons, a specialized one-time class, or a comprehensive program for lifelong skills, this family-owned business will exceed your expectations.

I am a lifetime martial artist, instructor, and MA competitor. I am blessed to have trained with some of the best people in the world. I rarely write reviews, but I am making an exception for Sky.The reason why I am doing so is not because of Skys excellent TKD program, it is his growth and never ending development as a martial artist.Yes, his TKD program is fantastic. It was my number 1 choice when my son was 5. No other martial art will shape and encourage children better than Skys program. My son is wrestling now but will train with Sky again in the future. What is really special about UNITY is their constant growth and development. Sky has an outstanding MMA and BJJ program. His Krav and Kali classes will rapidly enable a student to defend themselves in any and all circumstances. You will train in an environment where you are 100% safe while at the same time getting proven self defense skills. If you are looking for a place where you can really grow, physically and mentally then I highly recommend Unity TKD/MMA.
