Went here in the early 80s and experienced many of what is shown in the reviewers comments. Such is life this is a school not a summer camp and its what you make of it. People are complaining about how dirty it is especially outside the restrooms. How do you think its getting that way? Its not the staff doing it its the same kids reviewing it on here. Perhaps if you didnt trash your own school then complain and trash it on here as wellThe teachers are there to educate you not be your best friends. Everyone will always have complaints regarding teachers regardless of what school they attend or where it is geographically on a map. If a child is failing a subject there is absolutely no way its completely the teachers fault. Believe it or not the parents must take accountability as well instead of trashing the teachers in a review.You claim the police are here often ... Whos fault is that ? The teachers, the principal, the school? No its the kids and lack of parenting at home. Again this is a school meant to educate not a daycare center for troubled teens ... Just saying

My Second Child is now attending this School. He has honor classes and doing very well. If he stays on this path I see Valedictorian .He has two exceptional teachers that go above and beyond to keep him on a positive path toward life and his education. Things go on in school yes..but as parents we have to stay on top of things not just expect the system to raise our kids. Just because you dont hear about certain things else where... its going on just more tight closed.

I would give this 0 stars if that was an option but overall this school is bad because kids bully me for no reason and kids there are too ghetto. Heres some helpful advice:Don´t send your kids here. I´m kinda glad I moved.

I am on child #3 through Providence Middle School. All three of my children have done great at Providence. Two of my three are now attending Monacan High School and are taking all honors classes there. I am not saying that to brag but only to make the point that if they didnt get what they needed from middle school, I believe they would be having problems keeping up with their high school work. None of my children experienced bullying and always looked forward to going to school. The only problem I have with the school is that it is one of the oldest schools in the county and is in need of lots of repairs and upgrades which are being planned in the very near future.

Train a child the way to go.. period.My son does well at this school and I have no complaints.Signed a Teacher with CCPS

This school i absolute TRASH . if you go to reams road elementary than next years going to suck . I would recommend to beg your parents like i did to go to tomahawk,swift creek,midlothian at this point the school hould just shut down . Every one there seems depressed !!!

This school is on of the worst schools Ive eve Seen getting student in trouble for class by holding them back. The staff members are so unsanitary standing on the table while student are eating. This school need better staff or need to be shut down.

Providence Middle School is the worst school in Chesterfield. My son was failing so I tried to keep in touch with the teacher about work that was due. She would answer the emails but never the questions asked. I asked about projects being due, she told me there wasnt any , then i would find out that there actually was a project. She would update edline after grades went in so there was no way to make up the work. My son did his homework every night but she said he never turned it in. His other teachers always received his homework. The school did not follow the county procedures when it comes to a student failing, they are supposed to notify you and have a conference with you every 3 weeks. We were notified when they sent out summer school papers. Had a meeting with the principle, counselor and the teacher and they all seemed to not care. I had to set up the meeting . When asked about anything they blamed my son. He was not an A student but they should share the blame, they would not work with me to help him. If you can keep your child out of this school do it. When the administration does not care how are the kids supposed to care.

This school does not know da wae.Also the fact that during lunch, the entire grade is getting in trouble for no reason, we heckin know how to behave ourself we arent morons.They have money to renovate the school and get new chromebooks, but they cant get better cafeteria food. (which is basically trash.)A lot of the kids have problems, like depression, and bad grades, but instead of helping, the teacher bring them down.So, uh, not a good school.Plot motherhecking twist, they dont serve tide pods for lunch.0/10.|-/

The only reason I go to this school is because I have to they dont take care of what they need to do, theyve been under construction for 2 years and im about to see what they made new basically in the 6th grade they made another bathroom made at least 3 new classroom and made some new doors, they need to kick some students out of this school the teachers still dont seem to realize a kid in 7th grade whos supposed to be in 11th grade is still here, and I just dont feel safe at this school cant wait till I get out.Edit:April 20 2018School decides to renovate the fricken kitchen. Right as its basically the end of school! Im really pissed never send your kid to this place its a trash school. Heard that some of Manchester middle school will be here next year. Providence Middle School has the most talented and passionate staff. They go above and beyond for students.

Telling me how i got in trouble for pushing someone because they poured water on me thats. But the other person didnt get in trouble.

This school is too ghetto, I was bullied most of the time here. This place is nothing but bad memories, depressed because of it

Ive had two children enrolled at Providence Middle and I am not happy at all! Both of my daughters dealt with bullying and when I went to speak with the guidance counselor, she told my daughter she needed to let the teacher handle bullies and that kids were just mean at this age. My daughters came home with horrifying stories about sex, drugs, and alcohol. There is a computer arts teacher, Mr. Males, who has said sexually inappropriate statements to girls, been brought to the attention of the principal, and is STILL working there. The teachers are apathetic at best, verbally abusive at their worst. Avoid this school however you can!

I am currently on my last year of middle school and let me tell you. This school is horrendous. All you hear in the hallways, the cafeterias, the gym are gossip and rude things about other students. The teachers are okay but if you ever decide to bring your child here... Please, do the world a favor and choose another school.

Im in the 10th grade and went to this middle school and its the WORST. First, barley anyone passes their SOLS, the teachers are creeps, and there is always someone causing drama or fighting.

This school is an utter disappointment. I went to this school last year and the teachers mostly did not know what to do. I am glad i survived (and shocked as well) this school.
