Everyone at the shop is encredibly helpful and friendly. The guitars and amps on floor are (at least for me) everything Im looking for. Love the Ibanez semi-hollows.Sheet music selection is vast and updated.If they dont have it, they can likely get it. Awesome shop.

Second visit here today. First visit several years ago for trumpet cleaning and after the cleaning my 1970s Benge Trumpet was not only nicely cleaned but they had somehow removed the dings for me! Back today for a simple replacement of water key corks at a very reasonable price. Really smooth and quick fix and they let me try some other horns while I waited and let me know about a special horn event coming up. Great service and very professional.

WOW. What a professional group of people at this store. I had a concern that really needed special attention and John Stanley was very understanding and helped me every step of the way. His attention to detail and communication with my son and I made the experience manageable and in the end a success. I am so grateful for his willingness to help us with our specific problem and to go above and beyond to honor our request. I will definitely shop here again.

I really try and support local businesses. But not when theyre shady like they are. I was renting an instrument for my kid as she was starting to play in middle school and they had a good deal. After getting my first invoice in the mail I noticed that there was an extra $6 insurance added to my bill. I went to them and explained to them I understand that I should have written the fine print however I was never offered such an insurance up front and wasnt even told this was going to be added on by anyone. He then explained, oh yeah sorry, someone should have explained it to you, but most people get it anyways and its a good idea to have. I immediately returned the instrument and just bought one off of letgo. Dont deal with these shady people, go elsewhere. Trust me.

These guys are absolutely a highlight of the City Of Richmond. Friendly, helpful, honest, talented, you name a positive quality, theyre it! If you make only one stop within 75 miles of Richmond, this ought to be your stop. Musical instruments, accessories, lessons, repairs, theyll take great care of you!

Last saturday went to look for something my daugher needed for her violin. Since I dont know nothing about them Tim helped me out with pacience and answered all my questions and helped with my needs. Great Place to visit if you are into music!

We rented from this company after 2 years of renting my daughter decided to call it quits, I already understood the what ever credit you had could be applied towards another instrument. Well, since my daughter was planning on taking piano lessons I asked the previous day a store associate said I had 427 credit to be applied. Well this associated miss qouted and I had over 700+ credit towards another instrument. I was thinking great I could apply this toward a piano. Nope they said you can only apply 100 toward a keyboard or guitar. I was ok I could deal with that better than just giving up the other money. Well then I was interested in a 300 keyboard then the associate go that only applies to full priced items. I was like well could you check with your manager and he said the manager would only maybe only to give you 10% off the sale price. I said this is the new price online for this keyboard. So they are saying the item is on sale but from the manufacturer it was marked at that price. I finally told them to close the account and I cutting my losses I want everyone to know this place will get you coming and going sticking for having to spend more money and not take care of there customers. I highly recommend you use a different store and go somewhere else that actually dont try to screw over the customer. Also on a final note when he made the suggestion of buying a different instrument and sell it online you could get an already less value instrument you had to spend more money. This place is not the place I would ever want to do business with hope people go somewhere else.

Every time I try and get basic repair work done on my horn with these guys, I can never get a straight answer about whose working when and what kind of turn around time I can expect. If youre a working professional musician like me, you may also be out of luck if it happens to be a time when they are flooded with local students horns, at which point theyve told me theres upwards of a two week waiting period before they can do anything because theyre so swamped. Maybe if Id told them I was a student I would have gotten preference.I want to like these guys - they are the only game in town for brass repair and I currently live in the area. The few times Ive gotten work done here before, the work has been fine. They clearly know what theyre doing, their prices are fair, and Ive been happy with the work they did. But for the hassle of vague answers and feeling like Im a very low priority customer for them, makes me wish there was any other option besides these guys.

The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my daughters instrument was ready for her first day of orchestra. Thanks!
