Ive been taking voice lessons here for about a year. Chris has a really good knack for knowing where your progress is specifically, and for being able to push you and recognize areas where you might be struggling without even knowing it. I highly recommend him.

I have loved my experience taking voice lessons with Chris; he is so fun to work with, and an incredible teacher. I was a bit apprehensive and nervous at first because I have no musical background, but Chris creates such a welcoming environment that makes everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their skill level. I am so happy with the progress that I have made, and I am excited to continue working with the Rochester School of Contemporary Voice!

I have worked with Chris since he first started teaching here years ago. I’ve played instruments all my life but never really sang until now. He showed me and coached me how to find my best voice and the techniques necessary to hold notes and use my voice properly. Highly Recommend him!! And he’s a lot of fun to work with!

I have been taking voice lessons from Chris for nearly three years. Its been a great learning experience, figuring out what I physiologically need to do to produce the right kind of sounds and Chris techniques for breathing are most helpful. Its also been enjoyable singing music I like!!! Hes very open with your personal performance interests.

I learned how to sing with much better form during the six months I spent taking lessons here. It became a lot easier to sing more loudly and project my voice, to the point where I wasnt even consciously thinking about it. Definitely worth it.

Excellent in explaining exercises and WHY I need to do them, and what they will do for my voice. VERY good teacher. Ive been singing for 10 years, Chris is my 26th vocal coach, and he is one of the best Ive had!

I worked with Chris for about a year while I was still in Western New York. He gave me the fundamental basis of what I needed to know in order to sing properly and allow my voice to grow. I really learned a lot. I would recommend him to anyone who is dedicated and wants to learn how to develop their voice!

Chris rocks! I started voice lessons back in September and have seen myself improve thanks to Chris - he can answer just about any question I have concerning singing, speaking, and the vocal cords themselves...I have been busy and have missed a few sessions but he offers make-ups and even offered for me to attend his guitar lessons which are also really helpful!

I went to Chris for a year and Id love to go back! He is both fun and professional, he creates and environment thats free of harsh judgement and very friendly. Even as a person who has a fear of singing in front of others, the Rochester school of contemporary voice helped me not only come out of my shell but also vastly improve my voice. Chris teaches you in such a way that if you are to stop taking lessons you can keep improving on your own, and you can really see his passion for music! I would greatly suggest people to come here even if theyre afraid to show off their voice. And if you dont know, Chris is guaranteed to teach you what the sternum is lol. its action time ~ Chris Glyde 2k17
