Our child has been attending the toddler program for the last year, and we are very happy with the school. The teachers and the school staff are very helpful and caring. We can see how the school is helping our child to perform tasks independently and methodically. The school offers multiple sessions to interact with both their staff and other parents. These classes help parents to become aware of experiences of other parents. We like the community that the teachers and parents create which our child is exposed to. We also appreciate how the school environment has provided numerous opportunities for the kids to lead with style and grace.Over all, we feel it is a great school!

Our daughter has been going to Kinderhouse Montessori School for last last 3 years. She joined in toddler class when she was 2.5 years. This school has made such a positive impact on our daughter’s life. The teachers & the staff are wonderful. The teachers are caring, teach in small groups & let each child go at his or her own pace. Focus is on kid’s independence. They also use materials to help children understand the lessons in different ways and make learning things interesting & fun. Our daughter has made remarkable progress not only academically but also in social, emotional and behavioral aspects. The school is dedicated towards development of the whole child. The staff is always approachable and respond to any queries/concerns in a timely mannerWe are very grateful to the teachers and staff for the amazing difference they have made in our daughter’s life.

We really enjoyed attending Kinderhouse Montessori. The director is very organized. The teachers are very caring and really created a warm environment for the kids to learn, experience, and be themselves. Its a bit more expensive then other preschools but worth it to us.

All 3 our our children has attended KHM and it has been nothing short of amazing. The staff is very friendly and professional and does an outstanding job teaching the children independence and respect. The school is very clean and well kept my kids have been sick MUCH less than when they attended a regular day care center.Keep in mind, Kinderhouse is not a child care center or day care. This is a school where the children have rules, just like a public school does for older children, and they are there to learn. Learning how to treat the school, teachers and other students with respect will be a huge advantage as they move into public school settings.Ms. P, the director, has been more than helpful when we have questions or have needed assistance. She is very professional and at the same time she knows all of the students by their first and last names. For being the owner of the business and the director of the school, she is very in touch with all aspects of what goes into making this school special. The teachers are easily reached by email, or even a quick chat when we drop off the kids. Ive never had an issue with trying to speak to a teacher or anyone at the school. They are always willing to be flexible when trying to schedule meetings or phone calls as well. Communication is excellent between the school and parents and there are many opportunities to become involved with school activities, attend learning workshops (Positive Discipline) or just volunteer to help out.Are their rules that need to be followed? Yes, but are they unreasonable? No. Do your kids get to run around all day long and do what ever they want? No, but they are having fun learning at their own pace and still get fun play time outside. Do you need to drop your kid off within a 25 min window? Yes, but we are adults and can manage our time appropriately. My children have thrived since arriving at Kinderhouse and I couldnt be happier with their progress. They love to come to school and truly enjoy spending time with their teachers and friends.Keep up the good work!

KHM provides a safe, loving and enriching environment for preschoolers. The teachers and head of school care for the whole development of each child and respect that uniqueness of each child. It is a true AIM Montessori program.

Unfortunately, I was not very welcomed by Yogi Patel the first time because I did not have an appointment. I did not take it personally and even was ashamed to interrupt classes, as I was told because they have nobody at front desk for information as all schools I have been touring. Anyway, while she was walking promptly to the way out for me to go, I asked her if just outside if kids where taught how to read on kinder garden, she said our kids already know how to read at 3 years old, but you need to schedule an appointment in order for me to give you information. And so I did, because every School has its own policies. Took me a couple of days for them to give an appointment for following week.Today I went there and Teacher Amanda made me fill all basic papers and after that, she took me to tour the first clasroom .. and she was just telling me all kids work at their own paste , when Yogi Patel showed up to asked me, what she already knew, about my 5 year old son who was actually there listening to her telling me , her students were able to read complete chapter books by that age that he couldnt take him and the she requested how many figure numbers did he knew by then ..... for what? If she was going to say no Unless I pay extra 1k after tuition fees for a special teacher ....that my kid was old for their program witch with recommendatly has to star at 3 years old or the rest of the world would be behind their knowledge.I mean if that is a something to be fulfilled before, why didnt she just said it the first day and avoid me from booking an appointment, spending my time and gas money ... but specially , the frustation of explaining my excited child, why was he rejected from a school this woman did even let us tour and even contradicted her own staff by saying exactly the opposite she was just explaining to us.A very unnecessary experience that was just taken place by a extremely unproffesional teacher that just made us go ti inflate her huge useless ego. Shame on you Yogi Patel!

Over the last 2 years Kinderhouse has provided a wonderful and empathetic environment for our child. Not only have we seen our child grow up to be a thinking and curious individual, as parents we too have learnt a great deal about key behaviors such as positive discipline and aiding a child in the learning process rather than instructing. As our child has some serious allergies (i.e.needs an epipen prescription) we were always worried about emergency events. The head of school and teachers worked closely with us to setup common sense protocols for periodic teacher training, teachers aids such as a childs picture and related allergies look up sheet etc. as well as classroom eating, baking, washing etiquette. They did it in a way that accommodated all the childrens needs while being inclusive of our child. It takes a village to raise a child and we are glad that Kinderhouse is a part of our village.

Kinderhouse is a great school. Both my children (ages 6 and 4) are students of the school currently. My elder one is continuing in to Kinderhouses elementary program and we expect her to continue until she is ready to go to middle school. My kids, my wife and I am very happy with the school. I see very good progress in my elder one both academically and as a person. She loves learning. Most importantly, the schools authentic Montessori methods (the school is AMI recognized) have taught her how to learn. AMI recognition means the school provides an authentic Montessori environment. My younger one is too little for a non-Montessori parent like me to gauge progress but I am sure he is developing some of those executive functions that neuro-scientists claim Montessori helps in. I see how my daughter (6) is simply good at doing things (anything) like resolving conflict, planning her day, thinking though a arithmetic problem, etc. Before you decide on your childs preschool, you must view Dr. Steve Hughes talk on Good at doing things. Dr. Hughes is not connected to Kinderhouse in any way. He is a pediatric neuro-scietist who has his practice somewhere in Minnesota.Montessori is not for every parent although every child (really) thrives in a Montessori environment. For your child to fully benefit, you need to be a Montessori parent at home and not teach in traditional ways. Teaching at home may conflict with the childs learning at school. The school offers tonnes of free parent seminars to help you become a great Montessori parent.
