My son started with GGP when he was 6th grade as recommended by his private violin teachers. It has been really enjoyable for him to meet other string players, play in the big orchestra and also small ensembles, and be exposed to a different repertoire. It makes playing the violin less lonely and certainly makes him appreciate music more.

I enrolled my daughter in GGP when she was 10 and a beginner violinist. Over the 8 years of her participation, I saw her blossom- advancing to first Chair in the advanced orchestra while having fun, making friends, building resilience and confidence that has served her well in every other area of her life. I give GGP some well deserved credit for her acceptance to SFSYO and for the stick-with-it attitude she has that landed her in top universities for her higher education. GGP’s music education program is performance-based so you learn while doing the thing you love to do.
