Absolutely fabulous! I signed up to talk everything about makeup with Chris, and I was not disappointed in the least. He had tips and tools galore! He simply creates beauty magic (and provides a fun, enjoyable time while you are in his chair). He is wonderful with any questions and super patient .... Dont walk to Chris Scott and Makeup Gourmet .... RUN!! Get an appointment .... youre guaranteed to walk away with new knowledge. If you cant make it to see Chris (which would be sad), definitely check out Makeup Gourmets website. Its filled with how-to steps and best of all, you can order all of his products. Some time ago, I went for an Express Makeup Lesson at Gourmet Studio. I used a Living Social coupon, making the lesson affordably-priced at about $25. Chris was fairly personable and energetic. He showed me some quick, easy makeup tips I had not come across before. He demonstrated blush application by pressing the brush one time on the apples of the cheeks, then pressing it once further up, then lightly pressing a third time near the temple. Because my lashes are short and sparse, he suggested that I sweep the mascara wand lightly outward, so my lashes turn in an outward direction. He finished my look with a lovely melon lip gloss that complemented the color of my dress. The quick makeover made me look natural but polished. The coupon included $10 off a cosmetic product. I chose to purchase a black-brown gel eyeliner, and I got $10 off the regular $20 price. The eyeliner is not the best, though Ive used it pretty regularly. Overall, it was a decent experience.

Chris is THE BEST! Im a bit makeup shy and loved the idea of a makeup lesson. Chris was patient and not only helped me with my products, but taught me brush techniques, how to apply foundation, etc. I have received so many complements on my makeup from friends since, and my husband even noticed a difference. Id highly recommend makeup gourmet- really worth every penny.

Makeup Gourmet Studio is fabulous. I have had my makeup done by Chris and he has made me looking natural and at the same time has made me feel comfortable. I have learned different ways to put my make. What colors may go, and the studio is so welcoming and fun. Right away you want to start with the makeup and see the wonderful make up line and creams. Chris is a wonderful friend who sure knows make up and also how to have a good time.

Chris is a wonderful makeup artist! I absolutely loved the way I looked after Chris worked his magic! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chris and his work! I took an express makeup lesson by Chris about two years ago when I was just about to finish college and decided that I needed to get a makeup routine down so that I could look professional in the work place. I had some makeup that I would wear occasionally and Chris suggested that I bring my current makeup bag with me. I did and he showed me how to properly use everything and showed me new ways of using some of my makeup. He also showed me a few new products that I should incorporate which I use pretty much every day now. He was so personable and really listened to what I wanted to get out of the lesson. I couldnt have been more pleased with my experience. Also, his makeup is great quality at a reasonable price--Im still ordering his corrector wheel because I havent found anything that beats it.

My friend and I went together for a lesson and had a great time! Chris is very friendly and opening and fabulous with makeup. I wish I could have a few more lessons too as Im sure hes got a ton more great techniques!

Ive taken about four 8 hour makeup classes here and I had the best time ever. Its so personal and everything I learned (SO MUCH) stuck with me. You feel so comfortable and at home in this studio and get to learn techniques that youll never learn anywhere else. Chris is really an artist - he knows exactly how to make a person look good, emphasizing their attributes and softening the things they dont like so much about themselves. i went in before a wedding photo shoot and he gave me great tips on what products to use and what to avoid in enhancing those pictures (vs just looking great for a night on the town). its also one-stop shopping because whatever you like of what he uses on you, you can take home with you and continue to use it.

I am 60 years old and wanted to update my makeup style. Chris made me feel very comfortable. He customized a style that did not make me feel overly made up, but very natural. He showed me a few tricks to take it from everyday to a more exotic look. I couldnt possibly remember everything so he made a CD that I could take home and look at it to as a refresher.

Disappointed. Chris is a great artist but he does not act professional. He reduced my hours by half because he claimed that I made the appointment after my coupon was expired...which he did not mention it over the phone when I asked. He told me it was okay thats why i went and then he was saying a whole different thing. Also, during my session, he kept taking the calls. I learnt a few tricks thats all...nothing special.

HAD TRULY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!I went to US for vacations, i live in Angola, Africa, and dont know anything about makeup. I read all these wonderful reviews about Chris and booked myself for preminum makeup lesson for the very next day of my arrival in SA. This is one of the best things i did in my life. He is such a wonderful makeup artist, so patient and taught me all the makeup techniques in the most easiest way so that any person can actually understand the technique and excel in that. He listened to my concerns and addressed every single one of them. I also purchased his own makeup and its just FABULOUS.
