David is a natural teacher. He is not in flight instruction to gain the experience to fly jets (hes done that already, which is how Im pretty sure its true :)) — this is his full time thing. That means you work with someone whos in it to provide a safe and structured educational environment and has the time to do so properly.David provided me with an individualized syllabus to track my progress, which he keeps updated after each flight with a set of detailed notes about what we did and what I as an individual need to focus on. Hes thoughtful about structuring your learning so you can figure out the right balance of self-led vs. instructor-led study (and spend and learn efficiently). And theres a hefty online student packet which is an amazing resource to sift through all the noise a new flight student is faced with. Unlike many of the instructors I never heard back from when I reached out, hes super on top of emails & texts, including sending a detailed lesson plan a day or two before every lesson. Lastly, flying is a time commitment, so it helps to have someone whos (a) fun to hang out with when youre waiting in the weekend taxi line to take off, and (b) always game to work with you to figure out more experiential/fun learning experiences that give you a taste of the freedom a pilots license grants *before* you actually get your license.Reach out!

I was just a regular guy, intimidated by flying, but I looked up at the sky and thought it would be a fun adventure. I called Enloe Aviation and he set up an introductory flight. He helps me with absolutely EVERY piece of material, detailed emails, books and information I need. He understands folks may be coming into flying with little or no knowledge, and is like a big brother helping you every step of the way. Ive had two instructors so I know what is needed in one. David is by far the best instructor Ive ever had. He is very thorough and will help you in anyway he can. He is very understanding of unique needs and has an awesome program. I would highly recommend him if you want to become a pilot!

I have flown with David a few times in the Caribbean and every time has been a pleasure. I think the best part is he always knew all the landmarks in the area with stories and info on all of them. He made me feel at ease during the flight with calm and collected demeanor and simple and clear explanations for everything going on during the flight. David Enloe helped me when I transitioned from my Cherokee to my SR 22, back when we were both flying in the Virgin Islands. Although I had done transition training when I first got the Cirrus, it was quite a leap to go from the basic instrumentation in the Cherokee to the unfamiliar instrumentation in the SR 22. David really helped me feel comfortable flying with the new avionics. I have trained with many different instructors and rate David among the top few.
