I give this place a 5 stars. Everything you need to learn and become a great defender and fighter. I came to this place a week after quitting drinking and 420. This place made me realize how much I harmed my body over the years. I use to play sports and other active activities before and still thought I had my energy. I was completely wrong. First I gotta say Kru Sam is the type of person your meet and you automatically give him full respect. He has a very warm heart and speaks with a peaceful tone. You know right away hes a great man. My first session was a 1 on 1 warm up session with Brian who I still remember as another great spirit and calm relaxed teaching qualities. Brian was definitely on top of his game. I see many people coming in that are definitely theres for a reason and it shows. Great quality peers and trainers who have harnessed the art. I feel very proud that I joined. I know this is the right place for me and the best thing about it is you dont have to know anything about anything and youll still feel right at home. I know I will continue to grow here for myself and my family. This makes me very happy that I dont ever want to harm my body again. If you only come in to see it. Im sure youll love the atmosphere. I can speak on and on but all things must come to an end. I hope everyone finds their right place. Take care and love yourself and your family. One Love

Whether youre experienced or totally new in the world of martial arts, you wont find many places more rewarding and inviting than World Team USA. Ive been training Muay Thai and BJJ for years and was traveling out of town for about a weeks time from the East Coast and joined World Team USA. The Muay Thai guidance from Kru and detailed BJJ coaching from Conrad and Silvestre was some of the best Ive received in quite some time. The gym has a raw and unique environment with a great legacy of several fighters that pushes you, but the coaches also drive an aspect of fun and levity. Broke my heart leaving Team USA at the end of my trip, but will absolutely be returning next time Im back on the West Coast. Thank you again to Kru, Conrad and Silvestre and hope to see you all again soon.

I cant say enough nice things about Kru Sam and World Team USA. They treat you like family as soon as you walk in whether you want to train to go pro or are simply looking to get in great shape. I was only at the camp for a short period of time but while I was there Kru Sam and the coaches helped me out a lot. Kru takes the time to get to know all of the students on a personal level.Regarding the technical and competition training, its some of the best youll find. Kru is a true expert in the art of Muay Thai, and several of the coaches are professional fighters that held world championship titles. At a minimum the coaches have had several amateur fights and done quite well. This is a real Muay Thai camp that understands the nuances of the clinch, elbows and other techniques not found at your ordinary kickboxing /MMA gym.I highly recommend joining and training there full time if youre close enough. They will get you in the best shape of your life and can help you compete if you want to or are already a serious fighter.Much love Kru Sam and the World Muay Thai family.Nick

World Team USA is a great martial arts school to attend in the Bay Area. They not only taught me their elite system of Muay Thai; they gave me the tools to be a better person off the mats as well. Throughout my first year, I felt welcomed and blessed to be a part of their team. I look forward to training and competing in the future. Thank you, Kru Sam!

Highly recommend for someone looking for a high-intensity workout thats easy on your joints! You learn a lot in general about movement. Have just taken 1 class so far but signed up for a 6-week boot camp. Got a great workout in and the staff is just so kind all around. I love the convenience of this place (9th & Judah + a downtown location), and the hours/variety in the class schedule is hard to beat. Im looking forward to learning more!

I started training here for exercise and fun about a year ago with almost no experience. All of the instructors are extremely knowledgeable but more importantly friendly and approachable. This gym has a community that is 100% accepting of all people and all skill levels which I love.

Im a blue belt who has been doing BJJ for a little more than a 16 months now, this place was really close to my new apartment so I wanted to try it out. Ill be honest. I was a little hesitant at first because the place overall does have a TMA/traditional martial arts vibe that I have traditionally shied away from. But the BJJ class is taught by an old school Brazilian black belt which I thought was very high level. Added new details to fundamental techniques in a way I hadnt seen at other schools before which surprised me. Everyone was extremely friendly, warm, and encouraging. I had been meaning to start training Muay Thai after I hit blue, so ended up taking a private to kick start that side of my training. I really enjoyed it and I think I like striking more than I expected. Overall the BJJ is great, come train with us. The Muay Thai is also great, im a noob in that aspect but its warm, encouraging, and seems like a great place to start learning.

I’ve been moving around in US and I have trained with 6 different coaches at many gyms. From my experience with this place, I can tell you that, l would rather train by myself than going to this place. Avoid this place if possible.(unless you are a good looking girl, yes the coach is a sexist and you can tell from the photos they used to promote the place lmao)1, the coach will give random meaningless irrelevant speeches at the beginning and the end of class, which will take around 10-20mins. People come to a gym to exercise, but not to listen to some bs.2, they make you buy their uniform and force you to wear it. If you don’t, they bully you and punish you.3, you will get little attention from the coach unless you are an attractive female.4, the coach bullies and trash talk student. Being very arrogant and condescending, if he finds you hard to manipulate.

This place is awesome. I came at first because of a well timed facebook ad that got me interested in the womens bootcamp. I started the first 6 weeks, then followed up with another 6 and another 6. Im now in their brand new womens boot camp Brazillian Jui Jitsu class (T/R 6am-7am). Its super amazing. These coaches really do an excellent job keeping you motivated and learning. The workouts are intense but so worth gritting your teeth to get through. You should give them a try!
