My daughter was at Teacher Meis for 4 years, and I felt good leaving her there knowing that she was having a wonderful time. When I came to pick her up, it always was a struggle to get her to leave whatever activity she was engrossed in. Even now, 3 years since my daughter went to Teacher Meis, she always is excited to see her again. Mei has a wonderful way with children, and extensive training in preschool education. I was impressed with the writing and math skills my daughter picked up at a young age, with seemingly little effort. Some of my favorite memories were arriving at school and catching the children quietly sitting in chairs and singing while Mei played the piano or accordion. Mei also has a wonderful space for kids. Its extremely neat and organized but also full of games and colorful artwork, and there is a lovely, protected play area in the back of the house. Mei is helped by her mother, who also acts as a grandmother figure for the children. The most amazing thing for me, as someone who doesnt speak Chinese, was to hear my toddler caring on long conversations with Mei in Mandarin. The daycare/preschool is run completely in Mandarin, and since my daughter was there all week, she naturally picked up the language. What an amazing and unique opportunity for kids in San Francisco.

My son enrolled in this school since July 2014 and he love it. Teacher Mei gives a lot of attention to the kids. She learns the kids personality and teach them with suitable methods. I love that she plays piano and accordion to the kids. My son gets a lot of music expose that I dont have to take him for other music class. At age of 3, my son knows how to write his name, shapes and colors. One day he came home and told me what to do in the winter to keep you warm and all this in Mandarin. I also like about Teacher Mei letting me stay as long as I want during pick up time so I can observe how my son and other kids doing. My 3 year old has the opportunity to expose to science because Teacher Mei also do science experiments with the kids. A lot of good things about this school. I recommended.

You can immediately tell this is a happy school because the kids all run to give the teacher warm hugs first thing in the morning. We started when my son was almost 2 and a half. Teacher Mei allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted (which was a lot!) observing the classes, the kids and her style. I was able to see first-hand how much individual attention she gives each child, and how well she knows their strengths. She is excellent at nurturing the kids talents. I also love that the school has a very gentle feel. There are no disciplinary issues, and my son is learning excellent manners. Although small, I never feel my child is understimulated. I highly recommend you tour this school to see for yourself.

Teacher Mei taught my child with heart, he learns how to share and behave even as a 2.5 years old. It is heart warming to see my child progresses beyond his age and most importantly, the smile on his face as he is urging to go to this place even on weekends, lol. I long to pick up my kid from this place everyday since he learns alot of new things everyday and i am glad this is the right place for my child.

Our daughter has been attending Mei Yans daycare/school full-time for three years now and we couldnt be happier with the care she has received there. My daughter loves Mei and is always happy to go to school.We love that she has structured learning times along with free play times. We chose her daycare because of the Mandarin immersion focus. It is more like a preschool than just a childcare. They learn a lot of vocabulary, writing, and lessons throughout the day. Mei also teaches them wonderful Chinese songs and dances and she holds mini recital performances throughout the year for all the families.They love the kids and you can tell they love what they do. The classroom and play areas are all filled with educational toys, books, manipulatives, and instructional materials. The outdoor area has plenty of fun equipment for the kids to let out their energy. She is very consistent with training and teaching the kids to behave well, while still letting them be kids and be a bit wild.They cook nutritious and delicious meals for the kids and keeps the play areas neat and tidy.I can go on and on about how lucky we feel that we were fortunate enough to find Happy Field Mandarin Preschool! We always feel that our daughter is happy and being well cared for in a safe and loving environment.

Yan Laoshi has been taking care of my three year old since September of 2016. He has flourished under her care. The group goes to the park, dance, do arts and crafts, and sing whilst Yan Laoshi plays the piano. My toddler has made many friends and talks about them, as well as the preschool, constantly. He treasures all the arts and crafts homework that hes completed and gets to bring home. I have already entered my younger childs name on the waiting list for enrollment.Yan Laoshi regularly sends parents pictures and videos of what the kids are up to via text message so that we know what they are up to. She gives parents ample and complete information on the preschools curriculum, food, as well as holiday closures. I have already recommended several friends to the preschool. Theyve visited and enrolled their toddlers as well. I would be happy to recommend anyone to Yan Laoshi!
