I just recently graduated from this school and I have nothing but good things to say about this school. I was one of the students who attended the evenings classes because I worked in the mornings and wasnt able to attend the mornings classes. I lived in Vacaville while attending the school and commuted 4 hours combined going to and from school everyday and it was 100% worth it to me. All of the teachers take their time to fully explain and teach their techniques to the students. All of the teachers also have worked in the makeup industry for a number of years and share with us the knowledge of not only how it is to work freelance, but they also teach us about set etiquette and how to build a portfolio and how to write bridal contracts and other things that are invaluable to creating and managing ones own brand and name. The admissions director and student coordinator were also really helpful in communicating things to the students such as things to do with tuition and potential job opportunities. Each teacher has their own style and techniques when applying makeup and I love how one is able to take all these different style and blend them together to create their own unique style that really complements the artist.Everyone here is really professional and you can tell that they care and want and guide you to be the best artist you can be. The instructors while strict in some ways (i.e correct application and sanitation) are really fun and make you feel comfortable and at home. The education I received was was definitely worth the long commute and lack of sleep. The connections and experiences I made and received will be with me forever and I will recommend this school time and time again to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career as a makeup artist.

I really enjoyed my time at Blush. I learned so many new things about makeup and even myself. My teachers really helped me find my style in makeup and helped me perfect my skills. Towards the end of the program we become super seniors and get to participate in weekly photoshoots with a theme , this was my favorite part of the program , it let us be free to create great content for our portfolios.

2015 Review. Over the last few months i have had my brain stuffed full of information that i had no idea about. I came to Blush with no knowledge what so ever with makeup, and or the makeup world.from the first day, to the last few days its 21 weeks of makeup 5 days a week 7 hours a day, and let me tell you get your practice. Basic knowledge is the first class if your doing the full 720 hour class. Its amazing, the rest of the classes are just amazing.basics, SFX, hd, bridal, stage, runway, photography, period, airbrushing all the classes that are offered. if you complete the full course again 720 hours, you get all this stuffed in the brain, and gives you the knowledge to start somewhere in the makeup world. will you use all of it? will you work all the different kinda of classes talked about up top, most likely not. but the knowledge is worth it.If you are a military member, and or family member that is able to receive the Gi Bill, the do accept it and, of course as long as you are trying to shot for a month before you set up the gi you are golden, it took me literally like 3 weeks maybe for everything to be set and ready to go. If you are wondering about BHA you can google and see how much you will receive while your in school. It will all be paid for and that is what drew me here in the first place. I moved here for this school from Louisiana.so in closing, i would have to say that if i where to go out into the work force tomorrow, i would be safe to say that i am comfortable enough in my skills and knowledge to go ahead, and get hired. and overall there where little bumps here and there, but nothing that isnt to big to deal with.AND on the plus they are upgrading in the tech world. they have an app that they are working off of, they have all kinds of visions that they want to do. they are there for the students and that is what is impressive as well. they are here to help, just remember that you are the one that is paying for the education.
