Absolutely my first recommendation for a flight school. I had been getting dragged along through my PPL at another school for a few months, and after being fed up with that decided to change schools. Everyone at this school, especially Kelly, was extremely helpful and involved in my training and tried their best to get me finished as fast as possible to move on to my next rating. There is constantly someone there to help with anything you need help with, and they are all extremely passionate about not only flying the planes but helping people achieve their goals. I had started my flight training at another school & they had really ripped me off. When I got to Propellerhead they worked with me in order to reach my goal of getting my PPL right as college started. Absolutely outstanding outfit. I worked with them for a month or so on my private pilot license, before finding out I had only a week left to finish (outside factors). My instructor worked long hours with me to get it done, and I am now a private pilot.

I have been trying to get my PPL done in the last two years with other flight schools. Get a good solid flight schedule for a couple of months and then the flight schools would either change my flight instructor or Id get frustrated for being dragged out too long to finish. Bill has the ability to look at a problem and see through the routine, automatic fix to see the underlying cause of the issue and a reliable fix that is always more than just a patch. All of us who fly put our lives, and the lives of those who fly with us, in the hands of the A&P who services our aircraft. Bill understands that and takes his responsibility very seriously. I rented a 172 while visiting central Florida from out of town, and had a nice flight to Venice for lunch. They were great during scheduling, and graciously allowed me to take my time with the airplane for almost a full day outing. I chose to rent from Propellorhead because I knew a reputable maintenance shop would keep good care of their airframe & engine. The airplane was basic but safe - it could stand to have an avionics upgrade for XC flying, but the engine cranked easily and ran strong. They required a brief (0.8 hobbs) checkout flight with a CFI, who was fair and informative. Overall, the experience was pleasant and as expected, and I would definitely recommend Propellerhead to pilots visiting the area.

Flew to kgif for legoland with family..not fun to discover electrical problem with my da40 on landing...Jose at propellerhead was excellent in communicating with me and arranging to have the plane towed from FBO to their shop, diagnosing the need for a new battery, and replacing it and ensuring that the electrical system was working properly. This was done expeditiously ensuring we could depart as scheduled. Bill was also very friendly and helpful. They were honest, thorough and fairly priced. I highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with propellerhead aviation we went up to winterhaven for a checkride and experienced an alternator failure as we were approaching winter haven. These guys fixed our plane by the time my student had finished his oral! Great service and price! Definitely revommended! This girl Duffy kept us informed every step of the way and personally picked up a new alternator for us!

For the French who want to pass the PPL, Instrument rating, or the FAA CPL or even rent an airplane (Cessna C150, C172M, Piper Arrow), in Florida I recommend 100% Propellerhead aviation. The Propellerhead Aviation team wishes you success as soon as possible and will lead you to the end of your license without seeking to trade you as many flight schools do in the United States. You can trust the instruction is made with heart on the airport of Winter Haven which is super nice. The instructors are of high quality and the planes are well maintained by their own mechanical workshop. I have rented a C172M Ifr there for several years on each trip and have traveled all over Florida with it and even got my CPL there lately. Special thanks to my instructors Luis and Fred and to Bill the owner.
