Loved my welding teachers but during a pandemic I had 2 hands on classes left. Now they are saying I owe them money up front. I also never got to walk for graduation.

I took my daughter to the school to enroll in the medical assistant program. I love Karina the Admission representative. She was amazing. She made us feel welcomed and answered all our questions and gave us the tour. I highly recommend they come to see her when they want to enroll. My daughter is loving the program so far. Marcia in FA is amazing as well stayed in communication with me to help my daughter through the process. Mrs. Pasty the ED of the school rocks. Thank you all so much for everything cant wait to see my baby girl graduate.

I took a tour for one of the programs. The women who showed me around was kind but could answer alot of my questions and the people who are suppose to find jobs for you after the programs where rude and also didnt know. After being told what they charge for the classes (which was almost 18k) I couldnt help but feel these people where scaming young people into signing up for student loans for jobs that dont make enough to be worth the debt.

Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. A Family atmosphere which I like.

I saw an ad for the school online and decided to go for a tour the next day. I liked what I saw in their welding degree program, so I signed up and 4 days later I was starting my first class. They had me hooked from day one. It was such a fun and engrossing experience, all the way through. Their welding instructors are incredibly skilled and go above and beyond to ensure that you are learning and improving your skills as well as making sure youre enjoying it every step of the way. Dr. Langford, the Director of Education, and the rest of the front office faculty are extremely helpful and accommodating, and they are always there to help with anything and everything you may need. All in all, it was a great school, I had a great time, and I highly recommend it.

Good trade school

I was a student with a very high GPA, understood my materials, and was active in classes....however, when it came time to do my internship, I was placed in a run down office, answering phones and making appointment reminder calls. I did absolutely no medical billing and coding. I complained but was told that they were looking for more offices to place students. I was not able to find a job in my field, because they wanted verifiable hands-on experience....of which I did not receive.

Oh im currently a student there and to be honest i really cant wait to graduate from that broke down school... The teachers are great and all but they fly by the assignments and you never have enough time to finish them in school... Plus everything is online and they expect you to do your assignments on your phone.. Thats because theres not enough computers.. Also not enough hands on training. Some students learn different from other but when we fly by everything its hard to learn.. You will find yourself teaching yourself idk think about coming here.. 5 months in and i still feel like i havent learned anything. And im not the only one who said it...this school would sell you a dream but they really sell you a nightmare...

My time here at Southern Technical College has been a very interesting and I enjoy it very much meeting all of the teachers and faculty they were very nice friendly and all the other students in my class were so nice too and in others classes they were very nice too and kind I would say if you what to learn this is a good place to do that . So come here if you are interested in welding or heating or air conditioning. this would be a good place to come. You will enjoy it.

This experience is quite an interesting one. Not only has my knowledge increased but so has my confidence. Im ready to tackle the world. However, I think that this program should go on to the next level. (There should be an associate attached to it) at this school.Favorite Teacher Ms. V. If you leave her class not knowing anything then your are definitely in the wrong field.

As a student here for the last 7 months i can say all the administration staff and teachers help us students strive to become successful. Plenty of hands on experience. And we learn what we truly need to know so that when we graduate we will be ready for any field that we go into. There is no shortcut to success, but as long as there are staff as wonderful as can be, we students can and believe we will make a better future in any endeavours

School works with me pretty good. Pushing to come back as a TA. Karina Castillo was hugely informative and a great help to everything when I was enrolling. Highly recommend when you check the school out to talk to her.

I was in the GED program and the medical assistant classes the school it’s self is great it’s just extremely fast paced I decided to step back and focous on just my GED and when I told them that they kept trying to talk me out of it instead of understand what was best for me but otherwise my instructor Dr. Alvarez was great

I went to the Halloween party the campus as a guest and it was fun. They had food and the students and employees were dressed up and they had a costume contest. I could tell this was definitely a fun campus and I would go to school there. I’m going back for the Christmas activities.

The learning here is hands on and the teachers are excellent at what they do. The staff is friendly. If you want an environment that is fun and exciting then this school is right for you. And they will work with you.

Wouldn’t recommend anyone going to this school. All they want is the money they barely help you find a site to do your externship hours and teachers are constantly getting fired or leaving because they teach the students the wrong techniques. And at the end your credits won’t matter it stays with the school. You better off going to a state college and getting your associates!

I very much enjoy the feeling of the Sanford campus..... from the excitement the students have to the helpfulness of the staff and faculty. Its a small campus that can offer one on one assistance to all their students and graduates.

My experience at this school has been an amazing one so far, I can honestly say. With a sudden switch of career paths and not being exactly sure where I wanted to go or do, I have found my time at this school has been able to help aid me in narrowing down my choices.

Southern Technical College in Sanford, Florida is dedicated to serving their community which also includes parts of Orange and Lake County. Lead by Ms. Patsy Moore Executive Director, the staff and faculty at Southern Tech takes a personal interest in the success of each of their students. A small college with less than 500 in attendance, the students at Southern Tech are treated more like people and less like numbers.

My experience at Southern Technical College was awesome. I accomplished a lot. A lot of hands ons. Teachers here very are teachable.

Im enrolled here in the welding program. Im learning exactly what I wanted to learn. In the beginning I learned a lot about this school before attending it from admittance counselor, Karina Castillo, she knows her stuff. I would recommend this school for anyone that has a passion for Heating and air conditioning , welding, and medical.

The classes are extremely interesting as well as mentally and physically prepare you for the job that you are about to take, there is no way you should leave this school without being 100% confident in your new job profession!

I noticed theres alot off old bad reviews, but this school had completely changed recently. I have had an amazing experience from the beginning to the present time. I was nervous in the beginning because of the process of signing up but the administrators have done everything for me and made this process as smooth as can be. These teachers actually care about you and your education. Here you are not just a number. Its a smaller school which means class of only ten students or less which is great because of the hands on learning and attention you get from the teachers. You wont be disappointed if you enroll, I promise you.

It’s a very good school, they have been very kind and generous, permitting there facility English workshops with no cost teaching by Jose Castañeda that has been very beneficial for the Spanish community not only from Sanford but in other cities near by .

I am truly enjoying my experience at this school its taught me to be a leader and set examples and step out from the crowd

The staff are caring and motivational. They make sure you learn what you need to know for the field. It is possible to be hired for externship many of us were and they truly care about you, not just how much they can make! I loved my school! I wish they had a bachelors program.

The bilingual workshop is really good, it’s mixed with Spanish and English speakers which helps us learn the different pronunciations of words and phrases. So far we have learned how to introduce ourself, the alphabet and numbers.

Souther Techinal College is doing a great job helping the community with English and Spanish classes. The staff of the college are professional people, and very committed to their students. I am very happy and I like English classes.

I love this school they knew what I was going through and was still trying to help unfortunately I had to withdraw and couldnt complete my MA program due to being in a very abusive relationship, Right now Im starting all over trying to get my life back on track for me and my kids and unborn,I wish the school and staff the best if yall was closer or had a school in Deltona FL I would had definitely been back , Any new school I will have to go to I hope they are just as good though.

This is the 3rd Campus Ive been to and I can honestly say the staff and faculty at STC really care about the students and there are always fun campus activities for them. The Ambassadors are very active and I love it!

Graduated with a 3.7 and worked my ass off. The only good professor were Dr. Cortes. Was taught very little job expectation training for MA. Not worth getting stuck with all that debt.

I no longer go here and I was charged $650 when I went there I had florida prepaid so there was no reason for me to be getting charged out of pocket

A month agoThis scholarship mill is a prime example of a illegal functioning money scam. They are not accredited at all. $33,000 for a low class ride to nowhere. The so called professors just have a 2 year college degree themselves and are basically kids. They will take anybody signing a master promissary note to get federal funding. Poor education and low class idiots work and attend here. They are known to alter contracts and forge your name to swindle the goverment to their financial benefit. I make more money at my job now than if i was to graduate there. Maybe thats why most staff attended this school only to work there themselves.
