If youre considering exhibiting here, skip it. Theres no notice to pick up art after an exhibition--no phone calls, no e-mails, nothing. I called to ask because we had received no notice, and they told us ASAP in the middle of the work week. I said I would get down before the weeks end.I made time the next day to drive out of town, and can you believe we were charged $5 to pick up artwork that we already paid to submit? They made no mention of a late charge over the phone and when we had no pick up time, either. I bet they spent less on the ribbon for the award.

Beautiful, inspiring, and so much to offer the community. In addition to the incredible gallery art, they offer classes for all ages. Sign me up!!

I liked the sculpture garden. The local art in the building was very nice. It is well worth a visit.

While visiting the Art Center, I stumbled into a photo shoot for their largest fashion show of the year. This is a must see if you are in Sarasota.

A lady worked it the cashier or she is receptionist is rude, I wanna asked she about some questions I had in this moment before a Pay the ticket I only she was worry about the mask, when I saw people in there without mask, she had horrible aptitude about it, almost everybody it’s vaccinated.

Our class with Joseph Melançon was held in the Atrium. Great light snd plenty of room. I highly recommend his classes.

Good quality art from the local community. As a matter of fact Im going there in a few minutes. They have frequent shows and are free to the public. What they need more than anything is a generous Patron to provide a brand new building thats designed to show the art a little bit better. I am an artist and have shown my sculpture there for years so I am prejudiced.

Art Center Sarasota is a hidden gem within the Sarasota art scene. Its an unimposing little place next to the municipal auditorium, but within is a 4 gallery space with art from all kinds of artists. The staff is friendly and inviting and the art work is varied and interesting. Definitely check this place out if youre looking for art in SRQ

Lovely. Sculptures outside. Art as well as classes inside. Nice building. Garden club a block away lovely too with butterfly garden. And pioneer park nice and historic a few blocks the other way.

This is such a lovely Art Center and theres always something different here. Its great that its free for anyone as well! The center itself is pretty big and they employees are very nice as well.

This is a seriously impressive art facility, which doesnt come as a huge surprise seeing Sarasota is home to numerous talents. They offer an enormous selection of classes that fit every skill level and technique. Exhibits displaying works are constantly up on the walls, lending inspiration for creative types. Many pieces are also available for purchase.

The exhibition was fantastic, the music was great and the young boy dancing almost stole the show. Then he danced across the floor, climbed the 3 steps in front of me and he and I boogied. The joy was beyond belief. Well almost, my wifes piece of art being accepted again in the art center was truly a Blessing. mikie n chickie

Art Center Sarasota is the premier art venue in a town with a distinguished art history. As a Florida artist I entered Florida Flavor , a juried show at Art Center Sarasota. Although I was not picked for any awards, I was honored just to have my humble paintings hang in the same building as the show winners. Im sure they are destined to become giants in the art world. After contemplation of the show winners tears came to my eyes... I was inspired just to see the work.With integrity and intellect Art Center Sarasota is forging new ground in the contemporary art world. South West Florida truly needs more art venues like this if we are to continue to lead the nation out of the chaos that has befallen our great land.Art Center Sarasota is a guiding light leading us all from darkness to the new dawn of Truth, Justice and the American way.

It is amazing how much they value our kids effort and love for the art. How they stimulated their creativity.

I have participated in shows here since I was in elementary school up until now as a professional artist. Shows are always curated beautifully.
