Each of my five children have danced at Stage Door Studios over the past eight years. From the Mommy and Me class to the Competitive Program - we’ve done it all!My children have received top notch dance education, made incredible memories, and have had so much fun along the way. Recitals became one of our most anticipated events for our entire extended family!When COVID hit, Stage Door truly went above and beyond. I have not seen another business take the innovative precautions Stage Door did so that kids could keep dancing. The owner Jill takes safety very seriously, and I have spoken with her multiple times about the things she’s done to continue making safety her top priority.We recently moved out of state, and Stage Door is one of the places my children and I miss the most. I doubt anything will replace the family we had at Stage Door.

My daughter started with Jill and her amazing team of instructors in Mommy & Me classes when she was two years old. Fast forward to 10 years old and her absolutely loving being on the competitive dance team. Ive watched my child “been” with job and truly loving the artistry of dance with what Jill has created. The culture is supportive, challenging and communicative. Not only have they responded to the Covid pandemic in the safest way but they truly care about the children. We are proud to be part of the Stage Door Family!!

We are new to the studio and they welcomed both my girls with open arms. All the staff is friendly and very talented. We felt like part of the family from the first day. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly dance studio.

Over the last 5 years, my family has had a wonderful experience at Stage Door. From summer camps to beginning to participate in competition teams, my daughters have had great experiences as they have learned to dance, made friends, and been part of a solid community! The leadership and staff at Stage Door are the best there is in our community. They have invested in the safety and well being of our dancers during this pandemic and have gone above and beyond to provide a safe environment for our kids to be able to maintain some sort of normalcy by continuing to do what they love - to dance! Stage Door Studio is not just a studio. It’s home. Where the dancers become sisters, the moms become everyone’s mom, and the staff become family. It’s a place where our children can feel free, safe, comfortable and expressive. Our daughters have become stronger, inspired more confident. They have learned about discipline, respect, individuality and teamwork. The studio has gone above and beyond during this pandemic in keeping our children safe, happy and motivated. I have been dancing at stage door for the last 6 years and it has been amazing. Their costumes for competition and recital are appropriate ( no 2 pieces) and they are extremely nice. All of the teachers are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful! Everyone helps each other out and everyone is 1 big team here. LOVE STAGE DOOR STUDIOS. Defiantly the best dance studio in Sarasota.

Stage door has become like a second family to us! My daughters love going to dance, the teachers are wonderful, and everything is run very well there! I recommend them to all of my friends (and even strangers) that are looking for the best dance studio! Looking forward to many years being part of the stage door family!

My daughters have attended this studio for 4 years and we love it! The teachers/staff are amazing and we can’t imagine sending our girls anywhere else! From mommy and me classes, recreational and competitive levels all students receive quality instruction and In a warm and caring environment.

I have seen my kids grow and shine in so many ways through being Stage Door dancers. They have been loved and cared for by their teachers like they are their own children. I cant say enough about the program, curriculum, professionalism, and talent in their building. You feel it the minute you walk in!

Stage Door Studios has given my children confidence, friendships, and a safe environment with teachers who care and are knowledgeable and talented. I wouldn’t send my kids to any other studio.

We moved to the Sarasota area and were so lucky to find Stagedoor Studios! The Stagedoor Family was so welcoming and my girls absolutely love it here.

I have three daughters, all of whom started at stage door at the age of 3. We had 5 wonderful years of dance at the studio and left only because of their lack of interest the last year there. Having said that, they chose to dance again during the 2017-2018 school year. We chose a local, seasoned dance studio in Venice because it was closer and we just wanted something more low-key, dancing only for enjoyment and exercise, not wanting to do any competitions. We also took into consideration that the owner of the studio had been in the dance industry for over 30 years, thinking that would solidify a positive experience. We could not have been more wrong! It was a huge mistake. After dealing with the dance studio in Venice, we have realized how amazing Stage Door was for us! They are organized, keep parents involved and informed, their scheduling of pictures is incredible and the recital is top-notch! The studio that we recently used lacked in all of these areas. We spent over two and a half hours just to get a group picture, we were expected to drop our children off for two 5 1/2 hours rehearsals, which turned into almost 7 hours each! The owner of the studio had no interpersonal skills was rude, defensive and aggressive. In addition she expected payment for classes not rendered. During the hurricane we were expected to pay for the entire month of September while the studio sat without power. In addition she offered no makeup classes for all of the Mondays that were missed due to holidays. Jill, the owner of stage door, would never speak to a parent or a child in an unkind way. She was always willing to work with parents and students if they couldnt make it to a class or a commitment. Jills rehearsals and picture days ran like clockwork, smooth and organized! After visiting another dance studio we have truly come to appreciate our experiences at stage door. I told my girls that if they choose to dance again we would return to Stage Door. Hands down, it is one of the best dance studios in the Sarasota area. Well worth the 25 minute drive from the Nokomis/Venice area!
