Katie was our sons piano teacher for a few months. She is a very energetic, fun, and a knowledgeable teacher. When Covid hit Katie continued to teach our son piano virtually over Skype. Katie is great at communicating and keeping parents in the loop. As soon as piano lessons resumed at the studio she let us know and sent us reminders. Our son loved having Katie as his teacher. I would highly recommend her to anyone. If we were not moving we would continue to have her teach our son.

My son Patrick took piano lessons from Mr. Shawn, and loved it! It was his first time ever taking piano lessons, and he was grasping concepts right away. Mr. Shawn took the time to ease him into it, and they both had lots of fun.

I started violin with Amy a year ago. I am very pleased with my progress so far. She is easy to talk to and is very helpful with learning the violin. Incredible music teachers! My child was taking piano lessons and then was able to transition to voice lessons with the instructors in Lakewood Ranch. My son Luke took piano lessons for two year with Elizabeth Farrell Music. Elizabeth did a great job of matching my son with the right teacher. His teacher Craig was awesome to work with. Ive had a great experience at Elizabeth Farrell Music. Ive worked with two teachers, Amy & Elizabeth and there were both wonderful. Im an adult student and both instructors were very patient with me and extremely knowledgeable. They make the lessons challenging yet fun all while having a very sweet disposition.

Ive worked with Craig for about 3 months now. From the first day we met he has correctly diagnosed and helped fix a few issues I have had with my singing voice that I had not been able to correct on my own. I would definitely recommend him as a vocal coach!

Im one of those who took piano lessons as a child and then picked it up some 50 years later, with Erik at Liz Farrell Music. Were working on music theory as well as improving my technique and Ive been very pleased with the pace of my development. Erik is not only very knowledgeable, but he is patient as well, which has allowed me to advance at a comfortable pace.

Very talented, Liz is the first piano teacher to challenge me. She has also been able to answer all my questions and been very flexible with her time. Amy is an excellent and patient teacher. She takes the time necessary for you to grasp every aspect of music theory. She also makes it a fun learning experience.

For years I wanted to take vocal lessons but I never felt comfortable enough with the instructors I would speak With to make the commitment. This was not the case with Elizabeth Farrell Music. I immediately felt very confident that they would be the instructors for me. When I called Elizabeth she set me up with Erik. Needless to say I was very nervous going into my first lesson but I immediately felt that Erik would be a very good instructor for me. Unfortunately I was not able to take lessons for very long because I had to move out of the area, but in the short time that Erik worked with me he was nothing but easy to be around, very patient, and very informative. I was amazed with how much I had learned. If you are looking for somebody to give you music lessons I highly recommend Erik for this. If I ever move back to the area Elizabeth Farrell Music and Erik will be the first people I call.

OMG we love this school... what an amazing place. My daughter has Autism and we were looking for the perfect place to help hone her singing skills and get her more interested in singing...Mr. Erik is AMAZING!When we first approached him I explained what music meant to us, its our second language now, but initially it was our daughters first and how we were looking for more than just a singing teacher... we were looking for someone who could bond and catch her attention. He did just that AND MORE... our videos are up on the site from last year and the year priors annual showcase... theyre DUETS between my daughter and Mr. Erik and they showcase beautifully the relationship they developed as well as her increase in timing and ability.If youre looking for traditional - they have it...If youre looking for something a little more... hmmm... unique... TL;DR - If I am ever in a position to return to lessons I wouldnt even bother looking elsewhere. Liz is fantastic and my voice lessons with Betty were wonderful.This review is in regard to the way the owner handles the business and my experience with voice lessons as a casual, amateur singer. I found that my throat was becoming soar after just a few minutes of singing along to the radio and quickly became concerned that I was damaging my voice somehow, so wanted to take lessons to help me be sure I wasnt creating bad habits.I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the attention of the owner, Liz. Shes on top of everything and makes you feel like youre the only student in her company! I sent an inquiry email at first and received a phone call and an email from her the same day letting me know that I could continue communicating with her whichever way was more comfortable for me. I called her to make things a little easier and she picked up right away, I didnt have to leave a message and wait for just anyone to call me back. I found her easy to talk to and extremely reasonable. We worked out a good time and she assured me that I wasnt the only casual singer to be concerned about damaging my vocal cords. When choosing the best location she even had maps up while she was talking to me and helped me find easy ways to get to the location we settled on.Im sad to say that I was just beginning to get more out of my lessons and make progress when I had to stop going for personal reasons. My teacher was Betty Silberman and she is wonderful and bubbly, has quite an array of songs to choose from and (as long as she knows the song to an extent) can accommodate any chords/lyrics sheet you want to bring with you if she doesnt have the sheet music already. I expected it to take some time for me to really get into the lessons as Im a very shy person and unfortunately I only had a few weeks to do that.Back to Liz for a moment; There was a day I was stuck in horrific traffic and would never have been able to make it to the lesson location until after my lesson time was already over. Liz was very understanding (Sometimes these things happen.) and allowed me to make up my 45 minute lesson by adding 15 minutes onto my subsequent 3 lessons at no additional cost. Mind you this was communicated and arranged after official closing time. Like I said before, shes very responsive.When I had to discontinue the lessons, she offered alternatives *one time* and then respected the fact that I said couldnt continue for the time being. This speaks volumes to me as a consumer. Being hounded is not a good way to win back business and Liz seems to have a good handle on checking that theres nothing else she could do without being pushy.

I recently began violin lessons with Amy Marbut at the Lakewood Ranch studio. I was immediately impressed with how informative she was about the violin, from its construction to how the entire instrument vibrates as the bow glides over the strings. From the first lesson I learned how to properly use the bow and actually produce a musical sound, which I thought would take much longer to accomplish. I know anyone taking lessons likes to be able to go home and show off what they learned, and a good instructor is always able to move an aspiring student ahead and continually show progress.At this point, I am very pleased with Elizabeth Farrell Music. I know she is providing the community with high quality instruction, and also the opportunity for one-on-one training, the school age student can further benefit from. And, another wonderful thing, her studios are open to anyone inspired to create music. I highly recommend Elizabeth Farrell Music!

My 14 year old daughter is currently a voice student under Perri Montane. We are very impressed with Ms. Montanes teaching abilities. She is bringing my daughters love of music and singing to a whole new level. Ms. Montanes focus on proper breathing, posture and enunciation have increased my daughters confidence levels tremendously. There is a strong dynamic between Teacher and Student that exists inside Ms. Montanes studio that is very hard to find elsewhere. Ms. Montanes stage experience translates into a fantastic opportunity for my daughter gain insight and guidance for auditions and productions.
