I remember 25+ years ago when we had a really bad storm there was this kid that leaned on the tree right in front of the school to try and take cover from the rain...i wanted to get into a safe place and when I turned he got struck by lightning. The teachers yelled for him to get inside but he was so scared to move that he hugged onto the tree. I ran right passes him when BAM! The lightning hit the tree at the same time that he was about to let go. His hand was smoking. ....his hand was literally smoking!. The students reacted quickly and saved the young man
