My daughter danced at 2 other studios before Adaptive Force. She will never go anywhere else. The studio is spotless clean & welcoming. The instructors are knowledgeable & incredible dancers / teachers. The owners, Mike & Amber Whittmers, are friendly & genuinely care about their dancers.I highly recommend AFPA to everyone considering dance lessons for your child.

My oldest began dancing with AFPA the year they opened, when she was 3 years old. She is now 12. Her younger sister has danced at AFPA for the last 6 years and my son has danced here for 2 years. This is a small, family owned business that is a valuable asset to our community! Ive watched my kids grow into confident performers, which translates to confidence both on and off the stage. The owners are so supportive of their dancers and their families. Kids are given so many more performance opportunities than just an end of year recital. The shows they produce are creative, professional and so fun to watch! They hold master classes with some of the dance industrys leading choreographers (think people who have worked with J-Lo, Sia, Kanye West, etc). The owners are involved in tons of community events and volunteer their time freely. This is definitely the best studio in the north Scottsdale area, and families come from great distance to train here. Whether you just want a fun, recreational Academy class, or are looking to compete and train to be the very best AFPA can meet your dancers needs.

My 10 year-old daughter began taking dance classes at Adaptive Force when she was 2 1/2. She has grown and experienced multiple levels of dance at Adaptive Force from petites, general weekly classes, performance company, and now the competition team. They have an excellent facility and dedicated teachers who love to teach and love their students. My daughter has received a high quality dance education at Adaptive Force and we couldnt imagine her dancing anywhere else..

We absolutely loveee AFPA! This is our daughters home away from home. My girls have now been here a year and a half. We couldn’t be happier! They are always keeping the kids attention with new ways to teach and staying current with dance styles. Wouldn’t pick another place to have our kids attend.

We have loved watching our granddaughter dance here for the last two years. We fly out each year to see their Christmas show and end of the year recital. What wonderful productions this studio puts on. The owners remember us and who our granddaughter is even though we dont see them often. Such a wonderful dance studio!

My daughter had a wonderful party for her 4th birthday recently here at the studio. Amber and Mike provided everything we needed for the birthday and all her friends to have an awesome time! I’d highly recommend joining Adaptive Force if your child’s has a passion to dance, or wants the perfect birthday party!

Best Birthday Party Ever! AFPA does birthday parties, and they do them very well. My daughter had an excellent time; the kids were busy the entire time. The staff does everything. I didnt have to do anything. Highly recommended if you want everyone to have a good time and you do not want the stress of planning.

I used to go here, but I switched to Prima which I really recommend over this place. I don’t really like this studio at all sadly. I’m very disappointed. The staff is really mean to the kids and parents, making it uncomfortable when I used to ask questions. When I was there, I felt like they only cared about the people who competed. The staff singles out kids a lot on their mistakes rather than doing good on something which had made me feel like I was a bad dancer because I had been singled out multiple times for doing it wrong. Two other kids who competed a few years ago left because one of the teachers had told them that they had so much favoritism and she told them that she didn’t like them because they had too much favoritism. When I watched the classes, one teacher had made kids do these weird hip moves and I had assumed that there had been a crazy teacher there. My friend told me that a teacher had also said that being gay was totally okay. Teachers shouldn’t be saying what is okay and what is not okay. My friend who still goes there told me that the ballet teacher stepped on her feet, which had caused her to have a injury. A lot of kids get injuries there because of their horrible flooring and the flooring is really slippery which causes dancers to fall on themselves. There had also once been a Scorpions and spiders in the dance studio. A lot of the kids there are really mean as well which makes the place unfriendly. The reason that they get so many awards for instance: “most loved studio” and more it’s because they remind the dancers to vote by sending them private messages on their social media’s.Prima Dance has good teachers, good staff, friendly staff, and very nice kids! Prima Dance makes dancing fun and a good experience. If you’re thinking of going to adaptive force performing arts I highly recommend going to Prima. When I went to the studio for regular classes, it had made me not have a passion for dance anymore. I’m so glad I switched! I’ve never felt challenged at Adaptive Force too, but I feel really challenged at Prima. In the end, I would give this place 0 stars.

From my experience, this is the best dance studio in Scottsdale, Arizona. If you are looking to enroll your child into a studio that will nurture and foster the development of a strong dancer with great social skills as well as a strong dance background, this is the place! Additionally, this is a great place to enroll your child if they are interested in becoming a professional dancer. Many pre-professional dancers go here for good reason. The owners are very personable, there are frequent master classes with high quality dancers and all the dance instructors are very good at what they do.

I have been going here since first or second grade and honestly, I love it. They have so many different classes you can take and you bond with your teachers and classmates. I recommend it and contrary to what another person said, I have never seen Amber yell at a kid.

Unfortunately, my opinion is the owner Amber Booth, is a bully. I, my daughter, my girlfriends daughter and her fellow classmates have witnessed Amber yell while threatening the dancers and using biting sarcasm to humiliate dancers in front of the class.Being strict and teaching the children discipline is a good things but belittling children in front of their team mates until they are in tears, is not. Its a very uncomfortable sight to watch. I can only assume that the parents who keep their children there do so because of contractual obligations, proximity to their homes or Amber hasnt yelled at them. My advice, stay away. There are plenty of great dance schools who build children up and use positive reinforcement for long term success.
