After having 3 daughters attend for nearly 3 years we are leaving this facility disheartened, disappointed and unheard. From complaints of verbal abuse not being taken seriously to horrible attitudes from the director and assistant director. To date funds that are owed have still not been credited to my account.To make matters worse, something that cannot be accepted during this pandemic, and contrary to the direct statements on this facilitys website,NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER WEARS A MASK! When I addressed this issue I was told that the children need to see the teachers facial expressions. What?!?!After experiencing loss of employment and Covid-19 and through assistance this very pricey service was provided to our family almost for free. The service is lacking in such a manner that we would not even send our children there at no cost. Too many complaints to list in one review. Our biggest regret is not removing our children sooner.It is also worth mentioning that the 5 star reviews are clustered in the fall of 2019 because an incentive was offered to families and staff for good reviews many of them are from employees.

My 1.5 year old son went here for 1 week and the multiple substitute teachers in his room didn’t even bother to know his name. The first day I picked him up he was COVERED in dried yogurt from the top of his shirt down to his shoes!! No one cared enough to change his clothing. There were no daily reports as promised, so knowing when he slept, ate and was changed was unknown. I paid to watch the cameras and he spent the ENTIRE day with only one shoe on with the laces untied. The teacher never bothered to engage with him and when he was bit in the face she didn’t console him as I watched him cry on the camera. I pulled him out immediately. If you’re interested in having your children attend this god awful facility please pay the extra money to watch your precious babies online; it’s worth it so you know if your child is safe or not.

I love and trust them. my two kids have gone there and still do. one full time and one for no school days since he is school aged. everyone at this center has nothing but attention and love to give. they are clean, responsible, listen to your concerns. They treat us parents with respect since we are trusting our most precious possessions to them. i will recommend them anytime.

Honestly if I had the option this place wouldnt get even 1 star. The teachers in the infant room have absolutely no patients for the small children in their class. I paid for the camera to watch my son every day and thank goodness I did. There were multiple Incidents that had occurred to not only my child but others in his class that very shocking. When I brought it up to the director she acted as if everything that had happened was fine. Please if you have your children in the infant room pay close attention and watch the cameras. The two teachers were always very frustrated and not pleasant to speak to. They couldn’t give me a daily report for my son as far as when he napped and when and what he ate. You would think this place would be top notch for the price you have to pay. I will never recommend anyone to COA and will most definitely steer them in another direction for their child quickly. I’m absolutely disgusted with this place. What a waste!

I have worked for Children of America for 5 years, I recently received the pleasure of becoming a Campus Coach, among 3 other lead teachers! I love ALL of my children at COA as if they were my own. Currently, I am a floater so I get to visit each one of the classrooms everyday! It makes for a busy day but I love teaching them, engaging with them, growing close to each and every one, and forming a trusting bond with them. I love my hard working co-workers and management team as well, I couldnt do it without them, we make a big happy family! We take lots of training courses and strive to make ourselves better everyday! If you are interested in joining our family, dont hesitate! Stop by and see us, we would love to meet you!

My boy loves COA!! We use full day summer camp and half day after school care. All of the teachers and staff have been very nice and helpful!! They genuinely care about the kids. 🥰

Hands down the best daycare. They are awesome with the boys. They are 2 and 6 and they love it there. Thank you for taking such great care of them when we have to work!!❤️

What a great day:) I went to get my kids and everyone was so nice what a great end to my week. Actually staff and management are all always so helpful andfriendly. My kids have been attending for 3 yrs and I love watching how much they grow and learn. They are always eager to share how their daily experiences!

My children and I have definitely had a GREAT experience with Children of America! Taking my kids here has helped them open up mentally and socially. All of the teachers and caretakers are very understanding and polite and my children seem very happy at the Winchester location. One of my children has even had some behavioral issues lately and they have been there and been supportive of him every step of the way. My time spent with COA has been wonderful! I highly recommend them to any parent who wants a safe, secure, loving learning experience for their children!

I would definitely recommend the Winchester location. The office staff is always warm and welcoming. Mrs. Megan is absolutely amazing! She is so patient, loving and caring. She treats my daughter as her own. There is not a day that goes by that my daughter does not beg to go to school or to Mrs. Megan‘s house :)

My son has attended COA for over two years and we love it there! I enjoy looking at what he does everyday as far as learning activities to games they play. It is also nice to be able to see when he has used the bathroom and what he has eaten throughout the day. The teachers are very attentive and listen to any concerns you may have to make you feel comfortable. I could not imagine my son anywhere else! Great job guys!! 👍🏼

My son went from being an extremely shy loner to a bright and social butterfly! I am so glad I decided to bring him here. The teachers are all really nice and they took their time working with my son. Hes also better prepared to start school this fall; something I credit 100% to the centers curriculum. The center is conveniently located and theres always parking available (something you cherish if youre coming from a big city like us). It was a plus not having to prepare breakfast and lunches since the center provides these and the meals are prepared under strict guidelines. Thank you COA Winchester for a wonderful experience.

Thank you so much for your wonderful care of our son over the past almost two years. We were so apprehensive about sending him to daycare, but you did everything possible to relieve our fears. Every teacher he has had has demonstrated love to him. It’s very clear that the teachers do not merely view this as a job, but that they truly care for the children. We are so grateful that our son has been loved and cared for by such wonderful individuals. If the need for daycare ever arises again in the future, we will definitely consider Children of America first.

I love that everyone is so friendly. Even the teachers that dont have my child in their class know him by name. I definitely recommend Children of America in Winchester.

I have worked for Children of America for almost 3 years. I love working for the company. I have been a teacher in every room, currently I am a Pre- K teacher. It makes my day being able to work every day and teach my group of active and fun children. I love watching them learn and get ready for kindergarten. I love working with all of my managers, they always answer questions the teachers have and they show support to help better us in the classroom. I am proud to be a COA teacher and work for this company. I have worked at other centers but this one by far is the best at appreciating employees and showing that they are focused on the childrens safety and learning. So thank you for giving me the opportunity to work for this company!

My kids love the teachers. They was never with anyone but family until COA it took some adjusting for them but the staff was amazing with helping. Mrs. Erum has went above and beyond with my baby girl! She made me feel so much better about sending her to daycare at 6 weeks old and has treated her so amazing!

My daughter has been here 6 months and loves it. She is happy when I drop her off and pick her up. I love the tadpole and always close by.

My step son loved the summer program. He had a blast and was very happy there. Will return every summer

We took our 4 year old daughter for a tour and she loved the place, as did my wife and I. The teacher was great and thought our daughter would be a good fit. We informed her that she is developmentally delayed and she does have an IEP. The teacher felt that would not be a problem and said they had a couple of spots open. She asked us to send the IEP to them to review before giving us a final answer. We did this the next day and we waited over a week and nothing. I called and was told they were waiting for an answer and that I would hear back from them in 24 hours. Three days later, after no call, my wife called and was told that they were waiting. So three weeks after that, a total of a month, we still hadnt heard and so my wife called and was told that they wouldnt be able to handle our daughter. Our daughter is the sweetest thing ever and is not a discipline issue, so I am not sure what they wouldnt be able to handle. The fact that they didnt bother to call, and then they lied and said that they had, my wife and I have no record of this on our phones, really sucked. I honestly believe that they hoped we would go away and they didnt want the challenge of working with an incredibly sweet girl like my daughter. Great facilities, horrible management, will never consider them again.

My children have been at COA almost 3 years. In that time there has been very little staff turn over which provides my kids a much more stable after school environment which is extremely important for kids especially my adhd boy. COA teachers and staff are wonderful about communicating any issues and have truly become a part of our extended family. I could not ask for a better facility Ms. Jen and her staff go are wonderful and go above and beyond for their parents and children!

Our son started going to COA when he was just a few weeks old. The center has gone through multiple directors and teachers. Every change at the school came with more problems. There was verbal abuse from the teachers, no set curriculum for development, no daily reports and issues with behavior from the kids. At one point they couldnt even tell us if my son was even eating food throughout the day. The final straw was my son coming home with very minor injuries where he had scratched or small bruises and NO ONE could tell us what happened. We brought this to the attention of the directors but nothing was ever done. We were relieved to remove our son from COA at 3 years old and have since enrolled him in a NEW daycare network. Its like night and day! Our sons development has skyrocketed in just 2 months. The teachers are amazingly kind, honest and supportive of the students. The kids in his new clean classroom are so well mannered and sweet. COA has a lot to learn about childcare!!

My sons teacher is really nice and interacts a lot with the kids and the parents. She cares about the kids a lot even calls/ texts to check on him when sick!

If there was an option for a negative star Id put it. I called the Winchester location to see if they had any availability for my son on 11/30/18 since I had already viewed this facility and several others in the area, I was fortunate when the lady said she had one available spot left for his class and age group, I was thrilled.. she proceeded to tell me about the black Friday deal witch she said was the last day... I gave her a time it was already 2pm so I said Id be there by 3pm to give me time to get the money out of my bank for there deposit to hold my sons spot for the following week.. with all that done and said I get there for the lady to tell me, ohh sorry I gave your spot away, I was looking for your number to call you, I was in shock.. why would you give a spot away that you 100% know is taken.. or possibly say if this lady who Im holding a spot for at three doesnt show up.. its all yours, I start work this week.. I had been planning and already viewed the facility after seeing several daycares in the area and Im very disappointed I chose COA in Winchester, you all need to get better staff and coordinate, there should have been no reason my sons spot was given away in the hour it took to get there, its pretty sad you didnt say the spot was already taken SINCE IT WAS. then found out that the deal she was talking about goes all the way through December, so not only terrible staff but they dont even know when there own promotions end. With all that said and it being my first time I WOULD NEVER CHOOSE TO SEND MY CHILD HERE EVER and thats only after an interaction with the terrible staff and disorganization, I can only image After this how they treat the kids if the parents cant even be treated with respect.

Hi I’m madi and I went there for 9 years I started at 6weeks in 10 now and I loved most the teachers and the kids sometimes I got to help out and clean and the foods pretty good I know everyone there although I had to leave because it’s a little priceyLove Madi Smith

My nephew loves this place and enjoys all of the summer activities they have. He enjoys showing me all of the art and learni g he does. He is so happy that je can write jis name. Love his teachers.

Teachers lack patience for working with young children. Teachers were observed being emotionally and physically agressive towards kids , with little consequence after reported . DO NOT recommend this place.

I went to COA when I started kindergarten up until I was twelve and it was one of the worst experiences ever. The teachers there were verbally abusive and I dreaded going there every day. I was very shy and so each day I would come in, sit down and do my homework and then read a book until my parents came and got me. Every single day, one of the teachers working there would come up to me and question why I was being “stuck up” and “selfish” when all I was doing was being quiet and minding my own business. This teacher constantly humiliated other children and called them rude and disrespectful things. This teacher also made me too scared to tell my parents what was going on. I always thought that the teacher would come after me if I ever told anyone. So to all you parents out there who think their children are having fun and enjoying their time at COA, that might not be the case. I never even realized half the stuff that I’ve noticed now about that place and how messed up my memories are of my time there. Another time, there was a younger boy grabbing at my chest and yelling out rude things while the teachers stood by. It wasn’t until several minutes passed before a teacher asked me if I wanted him to stop. No duh I wanted him to stop. The teacher shouldn’t have even asked. If you see someone struggling to fend a boy from innapropriately grabbing them, you’re first instint is to ask if they want it to stop?? My parents also dropped me off in the morning before school so that COA could put me on the bus. There were countless morning when I missed the bus because they always “forgot” about me and refused to take me out to the bus until it was too late despite me telling them that I needed to go. The teachers definitely had favorites and treated them differently than other children there. The ones they didn’t like would consistently be yelled at and called hurtful names while the ones they liked got extra snacks and were allowed to do whatever they wanted during “quiet time”. They would also humiliate the kids during “games” where one at a time kids would stand up and show “special talents” like dancing or cartwheeling. I used to ask to be skipped because it was embarassing but they forced me to get up and perform for them. Once, they had a dance off and forced all the kids to come up with dance routines and then judge them afterwards. There is honestly so much more I can say about this place but to sum it all up: this place is horrible. I hated my time there and I would never wish it upon anyone.

A lot of verbal abuse talk down to you like their better then you yet their barely making minimum wage our kid is still there but cant get out fast enough.
