This was newly built in 2019 so the building is still clean the staff is somewhat friendly but they do have a good stock and I also love it when they clear and stuff because they do lower it to very good affordable price. Of course when youre shopping on a budget this is one of your go-to places. I actually got my daughter a shirt from here the other day it was $12 marked down to four really cute too. I often forget about the shopping here but when I do I always find a good deal. While people were going crazy Family Dollar was fully stocked on their toilet paper so no worries there! I cant give it my 5 stars because I still find some of the stuff to be a bit high for how its made but I definitely encourage shopping here if youre on a budget and always shop clearance first you get the better deals. Its walking distance, they always have affordable prices and a good variety. Its great for those in-between grocery trips.

Family Dollar has alot of the same products that HEB has but for less prices.I actually save more money at Family Dollar for the same products at other stores.Highly recommended👍

I am sure I have visited most if not all Family Dollars in Abilene, and, the one just off of South 1st and Pioneer to me (including the cashier) is the best for shopping. I went in just to look around and pass time. Well, the best I can say now is . . . I may have gone in as a looker but I came out a as a definite shopper that will be back . . . very good buys.

Great place for reasonably priced items. Selection is pretty good. I stop here instead of C-stores to save a bit of money on snacks.

I think it is ridicules that since they changed the smoking age the lady cards you every time you go in. She knows that you are of age because you go in there all the time and she even knows what type of cigs you get and still ask for your id. Plus she is just rude and she is the only one that does it and when you ask her why she said it is because of TABC. They are the only store that does it no one else does just them.
